Doborah,

Oh, sure, I imagine this happens to everyone -- at least at first. That's why your "job" is to find as many ways as possible to feel good. Getting into that zone is the MOST important thing you do each day of your life. That state is clearly very creative and you obviously want to feel that way as much as possible.

Remember that feelings are on a vertical scale. If you can't slingshot all the way to the top, then at least climb up one rung. Anything that makes you feel a little better than you felt 5 minutes ago is good. Sometimes it's the food we eat, the movements we do, the actions we take, the books we read, the pictures we look at, the thoughts we think. That's why I love these forums, I love starting off my day thinking about SOGR.

Anyway, you're doing great! Keep up the good stuff!

Love and Blessings,
Rachel

Welcome to the forums, Deborah! Like Rachel said, I'm sure most everyone has difficulty at first. So far, I'm making that climb one rung at a time, but the more I practice, the better I get at it. You will, too. Just keep at it.

Godspeed,
Betty

Hello Deborah,

Welcome to the forum. Congratulations on putting out that first post and asking for help.

I don't think that anyone is on fire 24/7. It is programmed into our DNA to scan for trouble and that is when doubt appears. But we are not mindless amoebes so we can choose new thoughts. Reminding myself of some dark moments of the past and how I came through them as a winner. Being grateful that I am still alive and breathing. Living in a free country. Just counting my blessings will always make me feel better and pretty soon I will have a good thought about something I can try.

You are posting on the course forum, did you start the PG course yet, Deborah? If not, make sure you do because it will help you to find out what you want and to build the faith that you will get there.

God bless you,

Caroline
