I have had failures and I have had great successes.Let me take you thru a success that turned into a failure that turned into a success.I have been practicing many of the principles of SOGR being a student of the Bible but it wasn't all so clear how important it is to follow words like those in my signature. Now I know how important what I say, what I think and what I do is.
Back to my story..
I owned an auto insurance agency outside an army base in the U.S.A. The money started rolling in after my husband suggested I get my auto insurance license and join him in his life insurance agency. We prospered.Three years later the government decided to close that base. Boom, money started to dwindle. We decided to work from home and put an add in the yellow pages there under an A name(beginning of the alphabet name). Stared to get business there. A Brazilian customer came in and said "Can I work with you and bring all of my foriegn friends and aquaintances?" We thought about it and decided to add a desk get him licensed and boom doubled our business and we were very generous to him and we offered great service.Things were great! A few years later a company offered a figure we couldn't say no to, to buy us out. We thought about it. Said yes.We were tired of winters in New England and all these Brazilian customers told us "buy property in Brazil, it is cheap and it is beautiful."So here we are living on the ocean with a beautiful view out my window and the roar of the waves to wake me each morning and loving life here but after paying for 4 years of private college for my daughter,buying our ocean front condo which was cheap it is time to figure out what I want to do to continue to enjoy a great lifestyle and to start offering something to allow God to bless us with riches and also of coarse to contribute to the world and make a difference).My new dreams are to bring SOGR to the poor and rich in Brazil, so I need to get permission to get it interpreted into portguese and need someone to do it(I am not anywhere near fluent)Many of these people in this little beach town I live in most of the year work so hard on the beach. They walk miles in the hot sun trying to sell their wares.I respect that and how many times people say no to them and they keep asking.I know we are not to dwell on these things but I would like to inspire them if I could. My creative spirit that I have never let come out and did not acknowledge keeps after me with an idea for a handbag that woman can change the belt,the ribbon or scarf on it and decorate with chains and jewelry to match the colors they are wearing. Boutiques will love it because they can work with the clients to match their outfits and it would make for fun home parties and tweens girl birthday parties. The bag is basic.The beauty comes from all the changable "stuff".Sometimes I think on this for hours as I walk along the beautiful ocean with my husband.Other times I lose my passion for it because I think do I want all that goes into launching this? I think I need a partner to keep me motivated.Someone I can dream with that will keep reminding me I can accomplish things others have.Well, I have bared my soul like I never have. Pleased to receive any encouraging or instructive comments.

Welcome here! I loved reading your introduction and your story, and your dream about the customized bags.
The clue, I think, is in your sig: "think on these things". Think in faith and I am sure that the partners or better ideas will lead to certain way action.

Regarding translation of this SOGR course to other languages like Portuguese (your situation), Romanian (my situation) would be an excellent idea, because the eternal truth behind it.

By the way, many things that happened in my life, like the customer that became an associate and worked for me just sort of come along and caused great increase.I always give thanks and praise to Jesus,who Mr Wattles quoted numerous times.
and always saw these "coincidences as my heavenly Father blessing me." When we had to open the business after the military base closed
it ended up being a blessing because of the events that followed which really lead me to be here in Brazil at this time.(I couldn't have imagined being in Brazil 10 years ago. It wasn't on my radar. The living on the ocean was a dream but not a different country.)I know I am here for a reason greater than myself. I tell you it happens as you are just doing everything you need to do each day efficiently.Things you've been hoping and dreaming of possibly since you were a child but put on the back burner just end up coming to pass.Don't get discouraged when the resistance comes.See all occurances with faith that all things work together for good. No matter what it is, see it as great. See it as part of the masterpiece your life is to be. If you look at a painting while it is in the beginning stages it is not very pretty, right Julia? But in the artists mind, they see the end result in their mind. The customer might say "you are a horrible artist, look at that unfinished mess!" What is happening is the customer doesn't have the faith in the artists talent.The customer most likely hasn't seen the artists finished works and the customer does not understand the process or stages that needed to be followed to end up with the beauty of the finished peice.If you look at a tapestry on the back side,it looks a mess but it is a thing of beauty from the front.
There is a story about an auctioneer , trying to auction off an old violin, not very pretty,scuffed up and a string was loose. The auctioneer asked for $1 and someone said ok, then he asked for $2 and no one answered. Then an old man came from the back and picked up the violin and after fixing the loose string and tuning it a bit, picked up the bow and played out a melody pure and sweet,sweeter than the angels sing. Then the auctineer said who will give me $1000 and someone called out I will! Who give me $2000 and others said we will. The people asked what made the difference? The auctioneer said "It was the touch of the Masters hand".Can I just encourage you who are in struggles to "tighten up the strings of your mind and your actions" Let the Master touch your life and turn it into the masterpiece it was meant to be. SOGR came into your life for a reason.There are things at work that will have only come to pass because of something others might look at and say "How can this be good?" You have to have faith to keep your mind on the good report, pure,lovely... A double minded man(woman) is unstable in all his ways" James 1:8
Remember, what you have asked is already done. You are rich, you just have to take the journey that might not be easy but rest assured, will be a triumph. I love this scripture

Diane, I believe the partner, the resources and the materials you need to make that bag idea come to pass is right there in Brazil. The place is fertile with ideas for a creative mind such as your own, and the very people you want to help may be the ones who will work with you in your handbag factory. You may be getting two desires answered with one inspired action.
