Hello Everyone,

When I first read the SOGR - one of the first things that occurred to me was that if I could learn how to get rich myself - I could then help other people do the same.

I live in the middle of nowhere, Saskatchewan, Canada in a very small rural town with a population of about 900 people and dropping by the day...

The situation in rural Canada is simply that there a far fewer farmers and ranchers these days - agribusiness has taken over and the small family farm ( small in Canadian terms - means less than one section of land - a section is about 640 acres ) is going the way of the buffalo.

What has happened is that big business runs the average farm ( usually around 10 sections )nowadays and they do their shopping etc. in the larger centres - therefore the local economy is dying out...ther are fewer tax payers, very few jobs and what there is pays very little...

I am a search engine optimizer by trade so I work online all the time...I couldn't live here if I had to rely on a regular job...

My idea is to be able to teach people in remote areas to make a great lving on the internet so that no matter where a person lives they can have a rich, abundant lifestyle.

To this end I have been studying internet marketing seriously for the last year. Combined with my knowledge of getting web sites well ranked to increase targeted traffic through search engines I think I may well be able to achieve my goal of helping people start businesses from home.

Is anyone else on the board interested in forming a mastermind group with the focus on making ourselves financially successful first then going on to develop ways and means of showing others how to choose and live the life they want, wherever that may happen to be?

Best Regards,
Christine Oakley

Hello Christine!

I'm from Laval Québec (Montréal area). I too am interested in developping multiple streams of income from a number of internet based or other businesses. I've read a LOT about Web based businesses during the last year. I find it rather difficult to separate the good stuff from the fluff, to be honest about it. So I still need to put my learning into practice.

My main strenghts are digital photography and design. I presently design computer/Web based courses for a number of clients.

Maybe we can share insights and resources?

Take care!

Pix

Hi Pix,

Pleased to meet you - I feel sure we will be able to share resources and information. I will let you know as I progress how things are working and what I find works in practice rather than just theory.

I'm a couple of weeks away from launching my own ebook on search engine optimization so now I will have a chance to actually see what does work.

Your work sounds very interesting...you must be very technically proficient to do that.

I also wanted to say (just in case anyone else reads this reply) that this doesn't need to be limited to the internet - I am sure there are many other ways of helping other people develop their own income.

Anyone interested in proving the theory of the SOGR (by getting rich ourselves first - whatever that may mean to each of us) and then putting the Advancing Thought into practical action is welcome to join in.

Let's keep in touch. smile

Hi Chris.
I'm interested to join you mastermind group to explore and get realy good on the net. I am located in the Banana Belt of Canada smile <gr gr> or in the Okanagan Valley in the heart of British Columbia Canada. I have been fairly around in Sakatchewan, from Wakasue to Weyburn and to the East or West of it. With Québec in the east and BC in the West, and you, Chris, smack dab in the middle, sounds like a great beginning.

Love to hear from you,
Love, Light & Laughter

Chris

Would be most interested in this MasterMind Group. I am presently in the Network MasterMind Group and and limiting myself to the number of groups to get into as it can be time consuming staying abreast. If you do start one, please inform me and I can make a decision at that time.

Thanks and Bless You All!

If you live in Texas or Kansas....are you
calling your friends and relatives for free? Send an e-mail to find out more.

Hi Wilma and Chris,

Glad you are interested...

So, now I guess we need to know how to go about forming this mastermind group and what exactly we are all hoping to get from it...

I will check out the Private Discussion part of the board over the next few days and let you all know what I figure out...

I agree, too, that time is a factor for us all...I just spent another 2 hours just on Let's Talk it Over...so perhaps we can first define the aims of the individuals here and then come up with
a plan for helping each other to achieve our goals.

I am up to my eyeballs in work at the moment so this will have to be worked into all our schedules...

What say all of you - any suggestions - do we want to email each other off list or keep the discussion on the board?

How about if we each make one post defining what purpose we are trying to realize then maybe we could do a weekly or bi-weekly discussion and update on our progress..asking for input or advice as we need it?

I definitely think we need to set some parameters for frequency of posts etc. or none of us will have the time to devote to each person's comments or questions...

How does that sound?

Hi all,

The rural small town in decline is not just happening in North America. It is the same right here in Queensland Australia. Our town has a lower population than it had when i moved here 22 years ago. Changes in domestic price support for milk has devastated profitability in dairy farms and thus in related businesses, which includes mine (dairy veterinary consultant and nutritionist). 2 years ago, i looked to find another income stream as Donna has done. And it was this training that lead to SOGR.

I trade stock options on the internet. And when i am accomplished at this i hope to be able to teach clients how to add this to their farming as an off farm income source.

I would be happy to participate in discussion. I currently have a discussion fortnightly using msn, so perhaps you could consider this mode

Regards

John

If you set up a "private topic," you can read the messages here online in the Forum or each individual can opt to have them sent to him or her via email. That way you can download them and read offline. You can even opt to have a whole day's worth put into a "digest" and sent at once. (I think that's how it works, at least. Sometimes I think this forum software is smarter than I am!)

Many blessings, and, of course--
EXPECT Success!

Hello John and welcome to the group...

I think the MSN idea would be great but what about time differences for everyone? You are what - about 21 hours ahead??

Perhaps everyone could post their thoughts on this...

Thanks for the info Rebecca...I am pretty sure the software has me beat too :-)

Anyone game to throw out some ideas?

Rich Blessings :-)

Hi everyone

Last post to this topic 15/7/02 - I'm a little late.
I would just like to say that I would be interested in participating in an internet mastermind group. I am a mum at home and I want it to stay that way (at least until my son is older). I have been looking into home based businesses for some time. I too am interested in option trading online. I had some success last year, however I had 4 positions open on the 11th Sept and it pretty much wiped out my bank. I haven't traded since, but I plan to do so after SOGR and some further education. I am also keen to start up a mail order business. I'm currently educating myself in this area. I am not a computer wiz, but I am comfortable using computers and current technology.

I look forward to hearing how the internet mastermind group is going - is there a private discussion group setup? I would love to participate.

Blessings to you all ... JulieP cool

Hi all, there is already a group going, via Donna, in "any more questions" ( bit of a strange name for a MMgroup...). Why not join that group and combine efforts. big grin.

Very best wishes with whatever you plan to do....Just Do It!

I was reading the forum one day and had an AHA moment (I seem to be getting those when I am talking to all of you). That moment was, this whole group is a mastermind group. We could make our own individual ones, but I feel like we have already combined and created our own group...ALL of us! And I am GREATFUL!!!

God Bless,

Denny

Hi DutchBen,

Sorry i have been offline for a few days...I must be missing something here though? The only group that Donna proposed was the Christian one - which group is it yo are suggesting we join?

Denny - I agree with your view on this - I am finding the separate mastermind groups are a great idea but I just don't seem to have time for it...anyone else agree?

Thanks and Rich Blessings :-)

I'm with you there Christine regarding time. AND with you Denny regarding the benefit of our forum. I haven't even attempted to join any mastermind group. The forum is a wonderful use of the time I've allowed myself and it has been a tremendous help to share with everyone and read everyone else sharing too. So far, that's been plenty for me......Much Love and Joy.....dd
