Hello Everyone!

I just joined this morning and did the LifeLab I. It was a lot easier to do than I originally thought it would be. The results are not flattering in the least.

I am rebuilding my life after divorce and have two daughters whom have always been homeschooled. I would like to think my debt is because I'm divorced and in some ways that is true, but in reality I am frivolous with money and think only of today. I have a difficult time of thinking not of the future itself, but of how to get there.

So, here I am not really moving. My finances are in a shambles and I am having a difficult time creating work for myself because being a stay-at-home mom educating her children was the best possible job anyone could ever have.

I am here to play the game to the best of my ability and to create a new life for myself and my daughters that is abundantly prosperous for all concerned.

Thanks so much for your support and comraderie. I appreciate you so much and am truly thankful for this course.

Thanks Carolyn. I'm already looking forward to the second lesson. Been reading the book tonight and have begun to get it. I did hit a snag about letting the diety go that wants us to be poor, but understand where that comes from. I've encountered it personally in the church during my divorce, but I think that is a discussion for a different thread. :-)

Be blessed.

That is wonderful Just us Three! Exactly the attitude required to build positive change and success. You will find as you read the book and do the coursework over and over again your ability will skyrocket. It's very exciting and I'm glad that you have found this Treasure Island.

I look forward to your increasing success.

Hi Sam,

Yes, we can see your post and you are managing the system well. When you post under any particular topic, it comes up as the next in line after the original posting. That's so those of us who are doing the course can go to next person's posting easily, without having to scroll down to the bottom and work our way up. If you want to comment on what someone has said, just leave the quote in the text and take out what you don't need repeated. Then you add your comment and post it.

Paix,

Carolyn

Thanks so much Dave and Luz Maria for each of your responses.

Dave, I appreciate your encouragement so much. It was hard to look at LL1 and my responses, wanting to be honest, but not wanting to see the truth. But as Wattles says, speaking the TRUTH and not relying on appearances is one of the first steps to walking the certain way.

Luz Maria, you are so right about gratitude. There is so much to be thankful for from my children and their beautiful souls to everything that we have and all the possibilities we foresee for ourselves. Even this course and this forum, which I have avoided for so long until it became absolutely necessary, are gifts that I am truly thankful for.

The life I've been leading and the choices I've made have led me through a very dark place which I'm learning to move away from with your help. I appreciate the forum and the conversation which helps to shed light on some tools I can use to reduce the anxiety I feel and become more positive. Even having an image of anything other than dire consequences was not possible until recently. So, having learned what CMI means today is a great step for me which I will practice on a daily basis.

Sam, welcome to the group. Today is my first day as well. We'll help each other out and keep each other moving, shall we?

Be blessed always.

Hello JUT: You have taken a huge step towards getting everything you deserve, your birth right which is abundance in all areas of your life. Now forget the past, forget what you did, concentrate in your CMI and the NOW which is where we are. Keep doing the classes and things are going to appear more clear to you. You should stop blaming yourself and start doing things in a Certain Way. Try starting by being grateful for your daughters and from there you'll find there is a lot more to be grateful than not, you can choose your thoughts. Good Luck

Blessings and lots of love for you and your children

Luz Maria

I have been a part of this group for over two years. The growth I have seen (in others and in myself) is wonderful.

While for a time period posts can be changed, to do so will potentially make it hard to follow the flow and comments of others.

This being said, you are doing great! One of the most important steps (as you will see) is living in the now - being present in the NOW. You are right there - because you are recognizing a strong feeling. Practicing gratitude and being appreciative for your current situation is a great start - and you are only on the first Life Lab. Imagine your growth in a year or even a month of doing this. You will look back and say "what a great journey and I have come so far".

Hi Shabby,

Thanks so much for your welcome and I do appreciate your advice. Though I don't know how to delete what I wrote above, I'm not quite sure that I wrote anything negative.

I decidedly stayed away from telling my story as that has a negative charge associated with it and I'd prefer to move on as they say.

I also wanted to say what is or what I found out doing the first bit of homework. It was a revelation for me to see that I mostly live for today and yet am witnessing the consequences of such behavior now. It also was interesting for me to see just how frivolous I am and how the consequences of that is affecting my family.

So, in speaking what I see for myself is that me and my family are abundantly prosperous in such a way that everyone concerned benefits.

I don't mean to come across as defensive, so I hope I haven't. I am very thankful to be here, open to being coached, and am especially interested in creating a wonderful future for me and my children.

Be blessed,

Hi Light luster, I just joined the community today also. I some what understand what you may be going through. I am not divorced but my husband and I home school our 11 year old son. One suggestion I would like to make and I'm not being critical. Delete the negatives in your situation. Re-word your situation to bring on the positive. For instance, instead of debt say my finances are a bit challenging at this time. Remember what Wattles says, if we feel it or beleive it or speak it, it is. So in order to be financially indepent we must change our way of talking.
I say this out of love, because I love know and hearing about parents who homeschool their kids. I want you to succeed at staying home! Big Grin
