Hello everyone,

I joined in June 2006 and have only just made contact! So super happy to be here at last.

I recently realized I've had a long-term addictive behaviour, replacing one thing with another. Lately, I was hooked to online scrabble, then in an attempt to get off that one I got hooked to TradeMe (Kiwi equivalent of Ebay). That became expensive. So now I'm here with the intention of becoming very addicted to The Science of Getting Rich and indeed to getting rich per se. Any help along the way will be thankfully accepted.

I have all the books on the bookshelf, all the good intentions and yet, until now, it hasn't happened. Now I must change.

My husband is in Australia working to get our finances in order. Communication between us had ground to a total stop, so leaving seemed the best way to avoid separating completely.

For years I have wanted to write a screenplay, yet have lacked the confidence to begin (anything really).

If there is anyone out there who would like to discuss a joint project, please let me know.

I'm a winner really. Just got off course after a setback a few years ago. I did the Ironman in Hawaii in 1986, so I am able to commit and achieve. Finding my way again...

Thanks for reading this. Look forward to connecting with you.

Warm wishes,
S

Hi Skyhawk,

Warm welcome for you and wishes you all the blessing and success you have dreamed of.

Have you read the book as I am confused with what you have said. "You have all the books on the bookshelf, all the good intentions and yet, until now, it hasn't happened. Now I must change."

Anyway, all the blessing and the success are always there for you to pick it up and that is the key point. You have to act and the action has to be in conjunction with what you intended. As Wallace has said that your thoughts, words, and action has to be one and that is the order, thoughts, words, and action then you will have.

It is the first thing you should do, to have a clear and detail vision of what you want. What do you want out of your life, if you say you want to write a screenplay, what kind of screenplay? What is the story is all about? Etc.

After that you have to have your confession as of now, not yesterday, you have to believe and confess your faith/vision passionately.

Then you have to start doing towards your vision. Write the screenplay anyway with the assurance in your mind that somewhere, somehow, God will align the path for you and gives you the next step. And in doing, do all these things with gratefulness as it is so true that nothing new could emerge if you could not be grateful for what you have.

Once again, a warm welcome and wishes for the abundant blessing and success upon your life. Expect those things.

Regards,

Christopher Emmanuel

skyhawk, no one is ever late to start living their life to the fullest,so welcome. I just became a member a few short days ago myself, but at this writing have read the book once and getting excited to start reading it again. My advice to you is twofold - go through the postings and just read what others have written. There is some exceptionally good stuff on this site under every heading. Number 2; READ THE BOOK Skyhawk and listen to the audio. Be careful though, you may never procrastinate about reading ever again. ha, ha

Hello Cash and deCarlo,

Thanks so much for your warm welcome.

Yes, I have read the book. The last time was 12 months ago.

You know the sad thing, I don't really dream things into my life. Well not on a regular basis. I've done it of course - manifested amazing things. Sometimes that question, "What do you really want?" is the most scary one of all. Why is that? Have I bought the line that I don't deserve anything? And if so, how to get over that one?

I have started reading the book again. Many thanks for your encouragement.

Skyhawk,

Welcome to the side, I am sorry to hear that you are freezing. My colleague told me it never froze in New Zealand.

I trust you will find a lot of aha! and good thoughts from reading the book again. I try and read it often because it is such an uplifting read.

Hi Skyhawk,

It is great to hear that you are starting to read the book again. I think one great way to keep ourselves focused is to plan to read the book once every month or two months. This way, the principles will be unconciously stored in your unconcious mind.

What I have done to get over the "I don't deserve it" belief was to just switch your belief from one system to another. You might want to read my post about Wealth, Inspiration, Success, and Happiness.

I believe you might find it helpful as I found it from my own experiences before I read SOGR, which I found out that my experiences confirms SOGR principles. Smile

Remember, believe that you deserve the best out of your life. You deserve it as God wants you to have it. Jesus said, "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have more abundantly." - KJV

Keep in touch. You can add me as your buddy as I will, then just give me pm.

Regards,

Christopher Emmanuel

Hi Chris,

Many thanks for your response. I read your previous post. Thanks for sharing.

And Caroline,

Thanks for your warm welcome.
Your friend must not have been to Dunedin! Last winter we had -8 - 14C for most of August, along with beautiful blue skies and sunshine. I love winter. This summer has been more like winter only without the sun :-)

I like it here.

Hi skyhawk,
welcome. Getting addicted to SOGR will be a great thing. I think the other Chris is right on the money. I read the book once a month now, and I have the CD I listen to at least once a week. You are a winner, it is very easy to get off track. Im just getting back on track myself. Don`t beat yourself up about it. A statement I found the other night "One of the secrets of a long and fruitful life is to forgive everybody, everything, every night before you go to bed."

-Bernard M. Baruch
It says forgive everybody, that includes you, forgive yourself for getting off track, and just deciede to do whatever it is that you deciede is your dream. Focus on what it is you want, not on what you don`t want. I guess the what it is that you want can be scary. Just think you are worth it, nothing is too good for you. Put that idea out of your mind. You are special, you do deserve the best of everything in life. I hope I made some sense there. I hope you have a happy, healthy, prosperous 2007. To your success!

PS You ask "I'd love to keep in touch.
How do we do that on this site?" Im not exactly sure how to do that on this forum, but I think you click on the username of the person you are interested in contacting add them to your buddy list, then click back on the username and click invite to a private topic. Maybe someone else will be able to help you out more with this. I think the other Chris answered that as well

In an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, in its own perfect time, for the highest good of all, I intend $1,000,000 to come into my life and into the lives of everyone who holds this intention. To your success!

Sometimes the journey seems long, but it is well worth the effort! Smile
