Hello all, I have been a member for a couple of weeks and was using the wrong forum. I am already excited by some the changes that have happened in my life and am sure that they will continue. At times I am finding it difficult to find the time to do the course and reading but when I do I thoroughly enjoy it.

I am in a little financial doo doo at the moment and have set up a business that I am hoping will make me a multi millionaire. I ahve had amny great ideas over the years but have never been able to get businesses past a certain point - I am hoping to understand why from doing this course. I have also recently had a baby and want to be at home with him - but cannot afford to do this unless the business starts making money in the next 2 months. I have already put a diary entry in for July when I will start making money. I am on LL 2 so am still learning - feel free to guide me right if my words are not correct.

I wish everyone the success they desire and am incredibly grateful for SOGR and all the wonderful things I have in my life

Welcome here, Buddhist Chick!

We all need a bit of a hand to find our way around this new and exciting place. You are lucky because this is the finest group of people when it is about helping Smile

I see you want to grow your business (me too, what a coincidence Big Grin ) and you want to spend more time with your son. Reminds me of what Kevsky and I were talking about in another discussion. Design the business so it can grow whether you are there or not. Others have done it so we can do it too.

Good luck!

God bless you,

Caroline

Hi Caroline, thanks for the message. That's really interesting - but what if the business is dependant upon my skills? You have now got me thinking...

You are welcome, Buddhist Chick.

I don't know you or your business, just thought I would simplify your question for you. More time here means less time there. Don't worry, the ideas will come and our business will grow and you will be amazed how easy and how much fun this journey is going to be Smile

God bless you,

Caroline

Consider Bill Gates. He is a pretty intelligent fellow. It would be very easy for him to assume that he had to be personally involved in whatever was going on, in order for it to be successful. (And at times, he did get overbearing.) But over time, he learned to piecemeal out responsibility and delegate tasks. Without this skill he would never have built MicroSoft into the giant it is.

If your business is currently dependent on your skills (Are you like Kobe Bryant is to the Lakers?) then maybe you need to build a team or system that is less dependent on your skills.

Consider this, Bill Gates could die, and MicroSoft would go on. Or, President Obama could die, and the U.S.A. would go on. Etc., etc.

How can you design your business so that it could go on without you? (Even the Lakers would go on, if something ever happened to Kobe.)

Phil

Hi there, these answers make alot of sense - I just need to develop a system whereby I am not the only one in the business or that it cannot rely without me.This would also take me from the competitive to the creative, right? Wow, this stuff is powerful.

Much love xx
