We are finding the LifeLabs fun, already. We have a dream board which we have had for a couple of years now and very little has actually become reality for us. I'm starting to think that it is lacking! When I think about what I would do with a million dollars... exactly... Wow! I jotted several things down (some were on the dream board, some weren't), then I realized I wasn't being specific enough. There are some tough decisions there... do we remodel the house we are in and to what extent? Some would have to be done in order to sell it, but do we really want to stay here and add on or buy/build another?
There are some things that I know that I would do like giving a significant amount of money to our church, paying off debt, taking an Alaska/Hawaii cruise (gotta look that up again and see what the price is!), and then investing a large portion of it, but some things just aren't so easy to figure out. It makes for some interesting dilemmas and certainly keeps us from rushing through the course! OK... so here is one of those AHA moments. I think in the past when I have done things like the dream board, I have just pasted pictures on of things I would like, but I have never really allowed myself to believe that I could ever have them. That dream board to me is more like a fantasy than a reality that I expect to create in my life. OK... I may not get out of this first lesson for a while! I've got some serious shopping to do! Yeah, when I did the one about the million dollars, I found out some interesting stuff.
For instance. I have vacation for myself and family pretty important in my CMI, but when I wrote out what I would do with the money, the vacation was fourteenth on the list! Paying off debts, investing in improvements and advertising for my business, and buying a new house came first. Apparently, I like work more than I thought I did! It's great to hear your experiences. Keep posting! Love & Blessings, Rachel |

Ohhh, that's an interesting observation! Giving to God/my church is important to me and I noticed it wasn't the first thing on my list! It wasn't fourteenth... more like fourth... but that kind of bothered me. I wasn't sure if that really meant anything or not... maybe just that paying off debt along with a couple of other things (the cruise was actually last, but my list is kinda short at the moment) is weighing heavy on my mind right now?
