Hi All,

I wonder what we are thinking about the excellent feature Article by Rebecca called: The Paradox of Purpose (The Certain Way 28/2/03).

I think in an earlier discussions we discussed matters concerning what we really, really, really want, also called "The Prayer of the Heart". This is always based on our core-belief.

If our core-belief is that we are limited human beings with an occasional spiritual experience, then our goal-setting efforts will remain unsuccessful: something like: I know(or believe) I am poor, but I want to be rich ( to put it simplistically)

On the evidence of 95% of the world's population being poor or broke, it would appear that such is the core-belief of most.It is obvious that existing power structures, such as governments, churches, multi-national companies ( particularly oil & pharmaceuticals) are not interested in promoting change
in these core-beliefs, on the contrary!

If there is to be change, it has to come from the individual, exactly as Wally tells us.

Rebecca writes that the problem is that most people do not know...who they really are.
In other words, most of us live in ignorance. We just about know we are alive, but haven't got a clue why or what LIFE(Joy) actually is and is about...

Joy can only spring up from within as a result of gratitude. And gratitude ultimately is about knowing ourselves....so the onus is on us- like the Ourubos, a snake swallowing its own tail.

Rebecca calls for us to discover our unique gifts and talents.LL12 and LL14 have to do with this.
These should really be done over and over again.

I just love her explanation of the Principle of Precession, the main and side effects of our actions. I think this is very profound.

This forum is a good example of cross-polination of minds! Thank God for bees!

So, what is my mission, here and now, on this planet? And Am I aware of the side-effects of my actions as a clue to my True Purpose?

This is very deep stuff.

Thank you Rebecca, for pointing to the Power of ACTION!.....it is said that action is God at work.
(The ancient Arameic meaning of the word God is: "that which is happening").

Thanks for listening.

Blessings

PS Buckminster Fuller also suggested the energetic Principle of Synergy, based the ancient adage: the total is more than the sum of its parts. This lies at the bottom of the idea of Master Minds, and hence of the importance of this forum.Long may it continue.

Synergy: syn= together , en-ergy= capacity, activity, power.
The full meaning is: working together.
Synergy stands for the universal priciple of Relationships Within Oneness.

Bucky's formula for increase of mind power is:
(nxn)-n divided by 2. (n= number of parts).

So, in our Forum, say we have 300 participants.
The number of synergistic relationships would be:
(300x300)-300 divided by 2= 44.850 !!!!

Can you imagine?!

Never forget, abundance is our birthright.

Hi Ben and Fellow Travellers on this Journey we call Life!!!!

Another analogy that I use is the stone in the pond.

If we drop a stone into a pond, we see ripples emanate from the impact.

These ripples spread out, admittedly getting less strong as they spread, until they meet the shore where they bounce back and have more effect.

What would happen if there were no edges to the pond?

The ripples would simply continue to spread.

This is what I believe happens with us.

Our every action, every deed, in fact every thought, impacts on the formless and the universe.

And not just in current time.

Look at the ripples that are still spreading from Einstein, Confucius, and Jesus etc.

So we need to recognise that if this is true, what sort of ripples are we initiating?

Positive, loving, joyful ones?

That small act of compassion, a kind word to someone who is not expecting it, an unrecognised act of unconditional giving?

Or perhaps negative ones.

Insisting that we are right rather than caring if we are kind.
An angry condemnation, a malicious act or even gossip?

We have no idea where our ripples spread to and we can choose whether they be positive or effective.

It is always our choice.!!

Sent with Love, Joy, Peace and Gratitude.

Roger B

Incidentally, I like Wayne Dyers' comment, "We are not a human being having a spiritual experience. We are a spiritual being having a human experience!"
