Hello,

If anyone has encountered a similar problem I would appreciate some help.

I am having a problem when I try and listen to the Audio Session. When I try to listen using Real Audio by clicking on the link I get a General Error Message; so I donloaded the MP3 version and the volume is so low that I cannot really hear anything.

I have no problem listening to other mp3 or audio material. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Richard, we've had glitches before but I've never heard of this one.

And that makes me think that since so many people are able to listen to both the RealAudio and the MP3s, the problem isn't with them.

Have you checked your master volume level on your computer? If that's turned up (sounds like it is, but who knows -- sometimes it seems like these machines reset themselves all on their own!) -- you might check the settings on your audio players.

And, yes, if anyone else is technically inclined and knows how these things work, please do jump in here. Thanks!

Many blessings, and, of course--

Thanks Rebecca.

I have checked and rechecked, reconfigured, etc.
I have found the same problem on my home computer, different operating systems WIN98se & XP, but the same monitors with on board speakers. So there is more than likely some issue with the KDS RAD5 speakers.

OK, I am looking for the hidden gift here in this situation

I checked with technical support at the dealer where I bought the KDS RAD5 monitor and after describing the problem, the response was "Oh, those speakers are just junk! They just look neat on the monitor." Hmmm.

Soooo, I've downloaded the script and will read the script for each lesson until I get a pair of speakers next week.

Richard,
I have had the very same experience as you. First the error messages and then the volumn problem.

I tried several different versions of RealPlayer and eventually uninstalled each of them. I know it is not my speakers - they tested fine.

I tried Windows Media Player - but that won't work.

I just gave up.

Thanks for the excellent opening to offer a bit of coaching. So please hear this in that way -- not as criticism but just as something you may find helpful and "a good notice."

You say you just gave up.

Why?

Last summer one of my teachers told me something that absolutely rankled. I did NOT like it and I immediately REACTED (not a response, a reaction). My reaction was, that's ridiculous. That's not true. That's simplistic.

What he said was: "How you do anything is how you do everything."

Well, ouch. Now, a year later I realize just how right he was. (It didn't actually take me the whole year!) Wink

It's been something I remind myself of frequently when I'm tempted to quit ANYTHING. If I've told myself I'm committed to do something, if I've given my WORD (even if only to myself, privately), then it is going to get done. This little phrase helps me with that a lot.

And it's these "little" things (although the Universe doesn't know about size, there's no size in the Formless) that matter so much. If I can't be trusted to follow through on the little things, what are the chances I'll follow through on the BIG ones?

How I do anything is how I do everything. So "anything" matters.

Make sense to y'all?

I truly believe that when we don't achieve what we set out to, don't get what we desire, it's because WE just gave up -- at some point, in some way (or we were never clear and committed in the first place).

Many blessings, and, of course--
EXPECT Success!

Hi iamprosperous,

Try downloading radiodestiny player from www.radiodestiny.com. It's free and I use it to listen to Rebecca's audio.

Let us know if it works or we'll try to find another way...

And like Rebecca allways says, EXPECT SUCCESS !!

Best wishes

Hi Yeap,

Thanks for the idea. The Destiny Media Player allows me to at least hear what Rebecca is saying ... but at a very low volume.

I have been reading the scripts and working the Life Labs that way.

I am still going to invest in a new set of speakers. It may be that the volume that a recording is recorded at sets the range for the end user; and the 2 watts in these onboard speakers cannot do much.

Of course the great thing is that I do not have to worry about hurting my ear drums from volume that is too high. Smile

Richard

Rebecca,
Thanks for your insight regarding giving up! Yours are good words and taken in the spirit they were intended.

I won't bother to defend myself as I have been aware for years that this tendancy (to give up) is often pronounced in my behavior.

What I am doing now (when I get the urge to quit) is to pause and consider the consequences of giving up - complete with the "unseen" consequences that are impressed on the Formless.

I often ask myself "what message will this send to the Universe?"

In this case (of not being able to use RealPlayer) I only gave up because I knew I could read the scripts... ((and a HUGE thanks to you for providing them!!))

Peace.

The Destiny Player is great tip!
(and love the artwork on this site)

NOTE: For others who may take advantage -
You must follow the link called "Downloads" in order to find the player...(no need to get the broadcast software)
