For anyone that needs proof that we create our own reality(hey, I did) LifeLab 12 will help greatly, it did for me. I KNOW that the unconscious mind is the battery and I'm just the toy bunny, and I always knew I was programmed to do more than beat that silly drum. LL12 made me realize that unconsciously you seek out those people who ARE already what you are meant to be. I feel great now.
I only have one problem throughout this whole course. Being grateful. I DON'T KNOW HOW. It feels wrong to just say, 'Thanks'. I've thought about this a lot. I'm starting to think that maybe I don't have to be grateful by saying it, maybe the role I'm training to fill will be a role that helps lots of people and THAT will be my thanks(my actions instead of empty words). I'm not sure. I tranced out for quite a while the other day, and I got this feeling about things.. I think soon everything will click. Silver |

Hi all,
I dont think the learning process is linear, I think it is a spiral. I always find that when I go back and read something over agin or do an excercise again that I learn something new. Not that I necessaraly missed something the first or the fifth time, but that now that I know more about what I am studying or practicing I am able to learn something that I wasn't ready to learn the last time I was there. I think each of us goes through these lessons at what is the best rate for us today. It may not be the best rate for me tomarrow but it is right for me where I am today. Many times in the past I would read material that I wanted to learn but wouldn't practice it. Thinking that now that I knew 'the answers' I would just naturally follow the new practices. Now I know (from experience) that I need to practice the things that I learn to truly make them mine, but I had to go through my learning process to get there. I wasn't ready to just accept some one elses word for it. Thanks Rebecca for making this available to each of us at our own learning speed. Many of us are already repeating some of the LL based on new learnings. Spiroling up, Dianne |

Rebecca, I totally agree with your assessment regarding rushing into everything. I have deliberately decided to take this course very slowly (I'm still on Life Lab #9) and to really savor and absorb all the new feelings, emotions, thoughts, etc. that are coming forth as a result of taking this course. Up til now, I have had a problem with impatience (extreme). Up til now, whenever I drove, it was very aggressively and I would constantly berate my fellow drivers about their driving habits. (Of course, no one but I could drive as perfectly!) Up till now, waiting in lines at banks, supermarkets, etc. was a real source of irritation for me. Now, I take a lot of deep breaths and really try to enjoy the moment. I gotten into some very interesting conversations with people recently and am finding new ways to enjoy my downtime.
Just my thoughts. Cheryl D |

quote: Here's another way to look at this. A couple of weeks ago I took a seminar where the fellow teaching it told us the most DANGEROUS thought/statement we can make is this: "I know that." When we look at something and immediately respond that we already know it, we've just shut off ALL possibility of deepening wisdom, greater insight. That really struck me and now I've decided to remove that statement from my thinking. There is ALWAYS more to be learned (which is a big part of why I have already pre-enrolled in about 8 seminars over the next year and a coaching program, too). Knowledge is a head thing; wisdom is a heart thing. That's why even though I'm the one creating the LifeLabs (although certainly not all the ideas in there are original), I am learning SO MUCH from them myself -- all of them -- and from reading the things people share here from their own experiences of them. Many blessings, and, of course-- EXPECT Success! Rebecca |

Rebecca is right. At first I was so excited, and I rushed.. but then .. I slowed down, and things clicked so much faster. A perfect analogy for people: When you're in rush hour traffic, and you're sitting there, crawling along at 1 MPH, and you are barely moving.. you notice all kinds of things you never noticed before. Inside or outside of your car. When you're zooming home, you don't see anything, sometimes you don't even remember driving home, cause you did it unconsciously mostly. Heh. If you're going 100 MPH, do you think the likelihood of you missing your turn is higher or lower? Heh. Now, what if you're going 20 MPH?
Although, I must admit some things about rushing. And levels. Sometimes someone doesn't necessarily need to start at the beginning. Sometimes people have reached a point farther than the beginning and doig the beginning is not something that needs to be time consuming or slow in process. For example. The first LL.. it took me no time at all. Because I already knew everything in it. I cannot not be aware of the things that came up in LL1 and LL2. So, those two were almost(but not totally) useless for me at the level I was at. BUT, sometimes it does help to go back to the basics. My point here is that you should DO whatever feels RIGHT for you. An interesting example: My starting to take a Graphology course taught me things about myself I never knew.. leading to my learning I had a fear of success.. I just happened to get a book at the library on this.. and then I found out new info.. it seems almost everyday something new comes along to build on before.. Things work out in the end. I'm sure you've all heard that saying. HOW they work out is another matter. I'm doing my best to make sure my HOW is what I want it to be. Some of you might say, 'But Wattles says to not read any other books' and etc. BUT, he says to RECEIVE once you impress.. and I DID impress.. and I AM receiving.. I read books on Real Estate, and guess what? I'll be doing some deals soon.. I've reached the point where I know what to do and how to do it.. and as Wattles says in his book, you cannot just sit back and expect thing to materialize right in front of you. (Although I DO believe this IS possible, and not too far off, I'm sure there are already people who CAN and DO do materialize things.) There's my 2+ cents. :P Silver |

quote: Thanks for this, Silver. I confess that when I first started sharing this book and the principles in it with other people I was actually shocked to find out that some of them didn'tknow how to feel and express gratitude. But we all have our own "stuff" to look at. Anyway, we will be getting to gratitude very shortly now. First we'll be finishing up all the aspects of "clear, mental image" -- vision, heart's desires, goals/targets, visualization, and so on. And I have to tell you (everyone) that I'm seeing SO clearly that we need to go slowly with this, give it time. As Mr. Wattles says, there is never any hurry on the creative plane and when you find yourself hurrying, you need to call a halt. He also warns us against casting about for some new thing to DO and says that for some time we'll likely be doing the very same things we've been doing. What I'm seeing from messages here and in my email is that we mostly do have a really STRONG desire to rush, rush, rush through this course. And I believe just as strongly that would be a big mistake. When I upload two course sessions at night and the next day see people writing about their experiences with the SECOND one, that reinforces my belief that we need to slow down. (Not talking about you here, Silver, just in general -- thanks for the opening.) So I would welcome suggestions from course members about how to deal with this. I've held back on uploading new sessions to keep us from rushing too much, but of course, there will soon be new students joining us (in July) and once all the sessions are there, I can't hold them back. If anyone has an idea, I'd love to hear it. Please email me if you do. I'm grateful! And in the meantime, please do try to slow down a bit. One course session every other day is really ideal, I think. Certainly no more than one a day. We've got a LOT of great stuff yet to cover. And there is never any hurry. Let's slow down and let the creative process take over! Many blessings, and, of course-- EXPECT Success! Rebecca |
