I think the book and this course are amazing and I feel better about everything all the time. One thing that still troubles me is like when you are paying your monthly bills and do not have the money to do so. I get a sick feeling in my stomach when that happens.
How do I prevent that from happening and stay with the right mental attitude? Thanks |

Hello SS34,
As what everybody says, be grateful for your monthly bills as you have already used the appropriate services for the month - it has given you electricity, water, roof under your head, etc. You should also be grateful for the 'sick feeling' and by the way you're not alone. Why? Because the 'sick feeling' is telling you something - perhaps you need to go back and review your finances. Find out where you're spending most on etc and where you can save. Perhaps it is also time to use creativity and imagination of ways to earn additional income. What I'm trying to get at is to do some preventive maintenance on the finance side of things (same goes with other areas of our life - with relationships, spirituality, work, and health) to create balance so that we do not get into the crisis mode, the emergency mode, the urgency mode which all gives out unhappy, anxious, stressful feelings. Again, reflect on this 'sick feeling' and ask, what is this telling me? And be grateful for it. i hope this helps. regards MissVee www.be1stepahead.com (going live soon). |

Hi there
think of it this way: getting bills is like the universe saying to you: I want you to have more! Abundance is overflowing. After all, would you have bills if you were not given things to use? Creative solutions always appear when you put yourself in that state of mind, when you engage fully in creative thoughts through faith, purpose and gratitude. And when you feel that a solution is the right one when it presents itself, take action! that are a zillion ways to enter into the creative mind...search the forum archives, there is a lot of more information that may appeal more to you! What great comments Trinity.
I would also like to suggest using the Find button for more information. The topic (paying bills, credit cards, debt, etc.) comes up on a regular basis and some great things have been written over the years. We can now add Trinity's comments to that list! Dave "I am Thankful for everything I have received and for everything I will receive today and in the future!" |

Hi SS34,
It's like if you hadn't exercised for years and suddenly started trying to get fit. You wouldn't expect to be running marathons and pumping iron the first day. Allow yourself to get used to feeling differently about life. Here's what I did in that situation. I took time to think about how amazing it was to have the things in my life that I was paying for. I began watching how much electricity added to my life, how important running water was, how much I loved living in my home that I paid rent for. I began to do this as a daily practice so that when my bills came I felt that the money I paid for these things was so incredibly insignificant compared to the benefit they brought to my life that I was very, very happy to pay them with a huge gratefulness. The second thing is this. As soon as you receive the bill, sit and look at it for a moment, feel the above gratefulness for what you received and then say thank you for it being paid. Don't wonder how it will be paid, just say thank you that it will be, and leave it at that. Then put it away. Don't worry about it. If you find your mind wandering back to the worry, shift your thinking back to how grateful you are for your electricity or whatever it is, and how thankful you are that the bill will be paid. You're retraining your mind in what it can be thinking about. After all, which thoughts make you feel better? Which ones does it make more sense to think? The corrosive worrying thoughts that make you feel sick? Or the grateful, trusting, creative thoughts that bring you into alignment with riches? I found that sometimes I still wouldn't have the money to pay the bill on time, but I simply rang and told the people I couldn't pay immediately and made an arrangement to pay the bill. I found that in my state of gratitude, they were always happy to accommodate me. My gratitude and trust 'muscles' quickly got stronger and all my bills began to pay themselves! |
