I had a joyful lesson from my dog Louie this morning. You know, he practices the Law of Attraction. He loves tennis balls - they are right up there with food and Me. So I watched him this morning, and around about 500 yards from the tennis courts, he quickens his pace. See, he is creating a clear mental image of a tennis ball, of finding yet another tennis ball, on or around those tennis courts. He has a clear picture of it in his head: he can smell it, feel it in his mouth, see me throwing it for him and he catching it in a mighty leap.

As we get near the courts, he goes into action, looking under the surrounding bushes and trees, acting in a certain way that will bring about the discovery of a lone tennis ball if it is there. He continues on, looking and sniffing and holding the image of the tennis ball in his head.

Now, more often than not, he will find a tennis ball, and he joyously brings it to me (and I have to throw the darn thing all the way home Smile !) I am positive he is being grateful - he is just bouncing with happiness.

And here's the best part: if he doesn't find a ball, he continues on, happy in the knowledge that there must be another one, a better one, further along the way, or perhaps the same place but this afternoon.

I smiled, and was grateful, for such a timely and fun reminder.
