Hi Jeff

I understand how you feel, I have also failed in past exams. It's painful isn't it, especially if you know that you did your best.

The good news is that the pain won't last, it will pass - and the best news is that you can get better still.

If passing your exam is really important to you, you'll find a way to overcome this minor setback - because that's all it is, a setback. It's not the end of the story - only YOU decide that.

Keep well, and don't give up, Jeff
God Bless

... when you make a failure it is because you have not asked largely enough. (That's from the book.)

The gratitude advice was good, Jeff. You can be grateful that you had this opportunity and you can ask to see the benefit. Where is the door opening right now, thanks to this experience?

Try reading the Feb. 28 Certain Way -- the part about the "taps on the shoulder" that let us know if we're on- or off-track and show us where we need to adjust our course.

Also, pay close attention to the words you use. "Failure" is pretty strong. How else might you choose to characterize this experience? Perhaps you can choose a way that isn't disempowering and discouraging?

Lastly, it's only failure if you stay there. I like the old proverb, said to be Japanese: "Fall down seven times. Get up eight."

Get up! We'll all applaud!

Many blessings, and, of course--
EXPECT Success!
Rebecca

It's really strange, but I heard this proverb earlier today, but I can't for the life of me remember where exactly, though I have two choices: 1) somebody mentioned it in a SOGR post already; 2) someone said it on the radio while I was driving (short trip, only time I ever listen to the radio during the week).

I guess that's synchronicity.

Keep plugging away,

Thank u all , from the bottom of my heart .
i dont know what to say now, i just want to hug u for the gratitude .
Such as u said , i should get up . it is not failure but just a little setback .
and now , i am puzzled that should i continue to prepare for the exam for next year, or to hunt a job ? From this experience , i find myself not fit to take the exam . i did my best, i think of ,efforts, but i just get a little.
how should i do now ? can u give me some tips.
thanks

Jeff

Ah, Jeff. Stay patient, my friend. It is so hard to want to know the next step, not know sometimes, and be okay with that regardless. Stay open, no doubt your "what to do next" is on it's way.

Love to all,
Susan

Hello Jeff_yu:
So you did not pass your exam..Disappointed?
sad? heart broken? So you think your life is
set back a Month or a Year? and all your plans are
shot? Give thanks and take a lesson from Winston
Churchill whose picture I have selected as shown above. He was Prime Minister of England during the Second World War, and was one of the greatest
orators of all time. He wrote the "History
of the Second World War" and many other books all
considered masterpieces of English Literature
and the English language. What has all this got to do with your failed exam? Well Winston was a
very poor student in elementary school, and in those days you had to pass an exam to be promoted to the next grade. But he was failed 3 times and had to study English grammar, vocabulary and useage
for 3 years over and over again, and that was what
gave him the ability to write and speak as well as he did..So what ever your exam was, go back and
study and take it again, and when you do pass the
exam you will have a better knowledge of the material and be ahead of the others who studied it only once. This may not seem like much comfort
now, but my friend you do not need comfort, but
you need to get up, dust yourself off, and get back to the books with a new positive determination that I can and will pass next time.
This is long enough already..Remember Winston Churchill...
Good luck and God Bless.

Hi Jeff,

You did not fail. That is far too negative and we live in such a negative world already. So, you did not fail... you succeeded in leaving yourself open for a new, better, much larger opportunity. As Rebecca said, "you did not ask for enough" but more than enough will come your way if you concentrate on being grateful and on achieving your heart's desire. Be grateful that your mark has allowed a new opportunity to enter your life. Be grateful for the knowledge you gained when you studied for the exam. Oh heck... be grateful for the knowledge you gained all along the way. Look forward to the new and better opportunity. Worry not about what might lie ahead in a month or a year. Think positively about how wonderful today is. For the past is gone and tomorrow may never come. You have only today, only this moment in your life. Be grateful for the life you live right now. And expect your opportunity to show up and make you laugh with wonder and delight. I'm excited to hear what it is. Smile

Live in Light,
Coccinella
