Hi Guys, I am on Lesson 7. I am having a bit of trouble letting go & trusting. By that I mean, my mind is pretty active during the day looking for clues or signs that this is working & it's making me nuts. Not helpful I know. I have a strong spiritual program & I know it's best to let the Universe do what it does in it's own time, to let go & to KNOW that my needs are being met. But my eyes are not yet seeing what my mind is envisioning financially. I am in between jobs & my wife, a massage therapist, has an injury & can't work for 2 weeks. I'm feeling a little scared. Things are pretty tight right now, again - as far as I can see with my eyes. Any help or advice is appreciated. I wish you all the best & I expect success for all! Best, Matt

Hi MiracleMan, This can be the hardest or the easiest time to start your journey on the Science of Getting Rich. It could be very hard because of the stress and fear attached to your situation. Stress and fear tend to block your ability to see or receive the blessings you are being given. On the other hand, sometimes seemingly hopeless situations can lead you to give up the struggle. In a sense, giving up is the BEST thing you can do. When you release your need to control everything and simply dwell in the peace that is faith, your eyes are opened to the blessings that were there all along and new blessings begin to show up at an astonishing rate. Try this: whenever you begin to feel anxious about your situation, immediately start to make a list of things you are grateful for. You could think of it as modifying an order. "Dear universe, when you are changing my life for the better, please leave me the following things for which I am very grateful: my wife, my health, my intelligence, my talents, running water, the internet,... etc." Keep writing as long as you can. Do this in your mind all day long. Just notice those things that you are grateful for all the time. Also, give yourself a treat now and then to promote your own sense of well being. Again, being happy attracts good things to you and allows you to see them when they arrive. Love and blessings, Rachel

Having faith - when the results aren't happening fast enough - sometimes not so easy... The fact that I am alive today is PROOF that things do work out. When I remember this, I know that they will work out again. (In my life, there have been a number of times that I didn't think I would make it through...). Kind of a silly thought, but it helps me move out of scared and into feeling a little better. The better I feel (LOVE Rachel's ideas above) the more ideas come to me, the more willing I am and the easier it is to be in action. When in a temporary tight situation, I say - go after the low-hanging fruit (i.e. do whatever is in front of my nose to bring in money). Sell stuff, have a garage sale, offer lawn care in the neighborhood - ANYTHING. As we "prime the pump" and money starts to come in, we feel better and now more ideas and more opportunities show up. All of this then strengthens my faith even more. Which, of course, brings us even better results. Leslie Happy at Heart

I like what Rachel says "release your need to control everything". And there are multi-layers of trying to control. When we have a divided mind, let's say mind part A that wants to let go and let the Universe do what it does; and mind part B that wants proof, clues and signs. These two parts are obviously conflicting. When there's a war inside you, who wins? Nobody. No matter part A or part B wins, you lose. Both parts have your best interests in mind. Both are doing his best. There is no enemy to fight. So, what do we do here? Before we try working outwardly, maybe we want to integrate our mind. Then we have a whole mind functioning. Until we bring peace, we suffer (though it's ok to suffer). And YOU can bring peace, to part A and part B, by accepting and yes releasing trying to control. I call this inner non-resistance movement. Ghandi won a nation by non-resistance, a beautiful example of "only peace can bring peace". Allow each part to say what they want to say but know that you are neither part A nor part B. Then who are you? A question which may not need any answer... The space you give to each part may loosen the whole tightness in your feeling. Try it. Kemila facebook.com/kemilahypnosis

Rachel, this is great. I make a list of 10 things I'm grateful for each night, but not really in my mind during the day. Thank you Leslie, I also like the idea of "low hanging fruit" & "priming the pump". Because, although I wouldn't say no to work at this point, I might be feeling like I should wait for the job I want, so this helps with clarity. Thank you. And thank you Kemila for reminding me to accept the voices inside & that neither of them is ME. This helps me breath a sigh of relief. You guys are awesome! Thank you for your help. You are a blessing.
