Mind-Blowingly Wonderful Contributor |
I actually started the week already attempting to take 100% responsibility for myself. No blaming, excusing, OR complaining. And it has made a difference. I have been living consciously with my words for at least a year if not two. Being on this forum helps immensely.
But, I have been trying to make sure every way I word things is positively. For example, I wrote to someone that my husband wasn't feeling well and I hoped we'd still be able to do something wonderful we had planned for tomorrow. Instead of saying, hubby is sick and I hope we don't miss _____________. I actually started to write, "I hope we don't miss..." and erased it and wrote, "I hope we can still go...." We love cats around our house. We haven't had any in awhile. We live in the desert and our cats are not indoor animals. Unfortunately that means they either run off or are victims to other animals. So, we haven't had any in awhile. I hope this is not too distressing for anyone. Anyway, I wrote to a friend today and told her we had three happy kids, with three happy kitties, and I hoped there would not be any happy coyotes in the future. I don't really enjoy that thought either, so I've been thinking about smuggling them in at night. Anyway, no complaining or attempting to express everything positively is very helpful. |
