Hi, I have recently started the course and rushed ahead. I've followed the advice on this very helpful forum and slowed down. I am re reading Wally and savouring rather than devouring. Feeling good!

Then this morning a letter came and I have lost an income stream of £100plus a week. With the state of my finances and the cost of living here in the uk, this is the break in make or break.

My first response is disappointment, and it feeds straight into the thought that, 'none of this stuff really works'.

It is a terrible blow but I would like to try and process it through the course and would be grateful for any encouragement from course members who have been through the same disappointing start. It's a real problem. I don't have time or energy to do any more work and it makes me feel frustrated and anxious that I need this certain way approach to start working NOW!

Thoughts greatly appreciated,

best wishes,

Richard

Hi Richard

How about changing your thoughts in this way:

What have you GAINED without this £100plus a week?

At first you may wonder how any good can come out of an "apparent" bad situation, well, it's thinking that makes the situation "bad", so, thinking of good regardless of what comes about changes how you feel about the situation, and it's easier when you know you have gained something of greater value, and become grateful for it.

Recently, as soon as my income came in, a past debt appeared, and at first I felt angry, because I could do so much more with the extra money, but in line with everything I have learned in SOGR, I gave thanks for having been able to create wealth for myself and being able to honor my promises(even though this was not an explicit thing, nonetheless it feels great to return something that I had "borrowed").

and I noticed wonderful things happened: I have meals that colleagues and friends generously offered to settle, friendships become stronger, new businesses shows up.and that is because I remained grateful in spite of bad appearances. So, the universe is always moving us towards better things, and wants us to BE rich. It's an ongoing process, and it always works. Big Grin

Blessings
Kevin

Hi Richard,

Be grateful for the loss of your 100 lbs plus per week and know that something better is on it's way to you!

I had owned a printing business for a number of years and can tell you that when ever we lost a customer for what ever reason a better customer came along! Now you have an opportunity to develop an even greater income stream!!!

Develop an attitude of gratitude, realize that you are already rich and be grateful for all that you have and for all that is coming to you!!!

Be good to yourself, live life passionately and always, always expect success!! I don't know how long I will live, but I'll live until I die!!

Hi Richard,

I can definitely testify to what you’re experiencing at this moment of time, as I am at that point too. Although I realize everything that has happened, and what I'm presently experiencing is a result of my previous thinking and actions. I have been learning that even when we do everything right, and things appear not to be working, like Dave mentioned, we are where we're supposed to be right now. It's important to keep our intentions on where we desire being, while remaining grateful for everything we do have. Even though I'm going through some trying times at the moment I know in my heart that this is just a transition that I'm going through, and I will come out on the other side and hit the target I'm aiming at.

Even though I'm not able to control my exact situation at this moment in time, I still have the choice as how I want to feel in this very moment, which will ultimately bring me to the destination that matches or resonates with those feelings that I’m holding onto. Our world is a mirror of those internal feelings and thoughts. So it’s important not to focus on those things you don't like, or are very trying, and try to keep your focus and feeling on what you want to experience as if your already experiencing them now, and then that will eventually become your new reality.

Hello Richard. There has been quite a bit written about this subject. Many of us affectionately refer to it as "things aren't going wrong - they are just going".

You might want to use the Find button to search on these phrases (or combinations of them):

- going wrong
- lack and scarcity - it is very evident that this is where your focus is. Because of the Law of Attraction, guess what will continue to show up in your life?
- gratitude - for all things which show up and how it relates to things which show up which "appear" to be bad (or not what you want).

Please know that you are right where you are supposed to be. Look for the good in your situation and be grateful and appreciative for all that you have. Pay attention to your feelings and focus on what you want (as opposed to the lack or absense of it). Allow these things to influence your thoughts and your actions will come from a place of inspiration.
