In addition to serving as a teacher, wife and mother... my beautiful wife started a Mary Kay business this year. She experienced very good initial results in her business, but then sort of slipped into a low. So, she got busy. She went to work and delivered hundreds of flyers, samples, etc. over a 2-week period. Then, started waiting and watching.

Now, as I told her, I've done this a ton of times in sales, before learning the lesson of the farmer.

The farmer plants her seed (or, in my wife's case, hands out brochures). Next, she waters regularly, fertilizes, removes the weeds, rids the bugs, perhaps even prunes... all before she can ever think about looking for a physical crop.
She does all this knowing with certainty that her efforts will produce a crop.

The story of the farmer is the Law of Cause & Effect, and the Law of Gender, both at work. We all know Cause & Effect, but the Law of Gender says (among other things) that all things have a gestation period, from the time we first impress the image of the thought on formless substance until the time the thought becomes our physical reality.

And so it is with our Good Causes and our Definite Effects. There is a time of gestation that must pass... how long? We just don't know. But, rest assured, it will come to pass. Just keep on planting, watering, weeding, etc. and the crop will come.

But, we don't stop priming the pump (ie, planting, watering, pruning, etc.). We've got to keep pumping, lest we stop and have to begin all over again... when we were so close to having water at that very moment.

No time to stop and watch... we have to keep on acting and receiving! The harvest will come.

FYI, my name is Mike and Success4ME stands for "Success for Michael Erle" my first and middle names (and me, myself and I). Smile Actually, my handle would perhaps be more expressive of my feelings if it were "Success4us"!
