WOW!! This lesson is so eye-opening. It really helped me think through a lot of situations that have happened to or around me in the past, and see the good in them. For example:

My best friend is looking to buy a house, and recently had her eyes on a house that she really wanted, but she was doubtful of the neighborhood. It was on the market off the market on the market off for quite some time. Finally the builders decided to put it up for auction, and my BF was ready. I attended the auction with her and watched the look of disappointment on her face when others kept bidding well past her "limit." Just last week...about 2 weeks or so after the auction, my BF got into a car accident that totaled her car and messed up her face pretty bad, but she's okay, thankfully! It wasn't until after the lessons on gratitude that something dawned on me. My BF had been saving for years so that she could have at least a 20% down payment on her 1st home. When she almost got the house that she really liked, I remember her mentioning that things are going to be a little tight soon, because she's taking all of her savings to put toward the house. Although it seemed a bad thing that she didn't get the house at auction...thanks to LL18 I was able to see that had she gotten the house, she wouldn't have been able to up and buy a new car, and would not have been able to work, because her work involves transporting. She had also been complaining about the car, because recently the window broke and would not go up. Now, she get's a new car and has more time to look for her "perfect" home in a "perfect" neighborhood.

This is just one example, but I have been able to do this with other events that have happened as well. I'm so grateful for the ability to do this.
