I am doing LL10 and as I complete it and ponder Q6 it occurred to me that in formulating my CMI it should not revolve around one area but should be in tune with the balance of life.

Areas such as family, spiritual, personal, health& recreation and career. By ensuring that I have a clear mental image of my success and happiness in all of these areas makes me feel comfortable that everything will end up ok.

Good Point Kate. And It's not that I feel that I have to do this but more that I think my life is more pleasurable for having taken into account the other areas of my life. But I have to say that I am becoming more aware of relaxing with every concept learned.
Thanks Kate

I'm not the Grand Poobah (obviously), but as someone who resolved a huge credit load in the last year, what that meant to me was to think of what I do have once the debt is resolved. I did not want the words or ideas of "credit card" or "debt" to appear anywhere in that vision. What I claimed for that situation was "financial freedom"; I can now do with that money what I want, and doesn't that feel fantastic! I truly believe I had it the moment I claimed it. And surely enough, it came to be. This is my first time to be completely debt free in almost 30 years. SOGR has truly changed me.

Hi Kate
Very enlightning thank you. I get all tangled up in my wording sometime. Probably because of the feeling of urgency I experience at time. I wouldn't mind more of the same if you have time perhaps if you PM me Thank you

Okay, now to address the original post (sorry, Peter, for the digression):

Once we grasp how to apply the principal in one area of our lives, and realizing you cannot think too big, it seems natural to look for ways to apply it in any other areas where you seek abundance.

Rebecca makes a good point about avoiding the "shoulds", but I also agree with your idea of balance, and that placing too much emphasis in one area, and neglecting all others, works to the detriment of the whole. Wally also supports that idea:

"We are all acquainted with the loathsome consequences of living for the body and denying both mind and soul, and we see that real life means the complete expression of all that a person can give forth through body, mind, and soul. Whatever he can say, no one can be really happy or satisfied unless his body is living fully in its every function, and unless the same is true of his mind and his soul. Wherever there is unexpressed possibility or function not performed, there is unsatisfied desire. Desire is possibility seeking expression or function seeking performance."

What do you want to experience, Studmuffin? Wanting your credit card paid off or HAVING your credit card paid off?

You don't need a clear mental image of wanting it -- that's where you are already!

And think about this: If you HAVE something, you aren't in the place of WANTING it. If you do NOT HAVE something, you are in that wanting place. So you can't want it and have it at the same time.

You don't need to analyze this, really. Just think about what you want AS IF you have it. Do what Wally says: "In the mental realm, enter at once into the FULL ENJOYMENT ..."

Well, there aren't any "shoulds," really. It's all up to YOU. What do you want? If you want abundance in all those areas (and I guess most of us do), then go for that.

Here's the thing. This "clear mental image" stuff isn't as tricky as everyone thinks. Everyone ALREADY HAS a VERY clear mental image of pretty much everything. It's the stuff that goes through your mind all the time.

Only most of us (up 'til now) are holding images of things we don't like, are against, think are wrong, worry about, try to run away from. What Wally shows us is that we can begin to NOTICE that (and the results that kind of thinking brings us) and then GENTLY shift to something we like better.

Not only does that change the outer results, but we immediately begin to FEEL BETTER -- which is what we all want anyway.

So relax and play with all this. Let it be fun. (Because it really IS!) Big Grin

Love & blessings, and, of course--
EXPECT Success!
