I am very happy right now. A couple of weeks ago I got a blue envelope (ministry of finance in Holland) with a bill in it. I should pay € 2.700,- over the year 2005. That was a bad message because I expected a little tax refund. Trying to think how to get that money I oversaw some possibilities. Yesterday I saw on my bank account that I got a tax-refund of € 2.200,- over the year 2002! That almost covers all the costs I have to pay over 2005. But...than it struck me, I could have been making a mistake in filling out the forms about 2005, than I saw the only income that was stated there was over the period we lived in Austria, all the income from Holland and the taxes we already paid weren´t there! So I calculated again and again and if I did it right this time I should get another € 3.000,- or so paid instead of having to pay! I know I first have to pay the bill, fill out new forms to correct my mistake and with a bit of luck the money will be on its way back to me instead of moving away from me! I am so happy that the money I deserve is finally reaching me instead of only being on its way! And all of it also thanx to this great site, the practical geniuses course and all of you! I needed $600 to pay the removalist when I moved last week. I had planned to get the money from a particular source which fell through 2 days before I was due to move, leaving me in a bit of s sticky situation.
I asked for the money. I asked to have $600 cash put in my hand. I asked that it come without any effort from me and that it come from someplace unexpected and surprising. Later that day I went to the bank to get the money out to pay the initial rent on my new place. The teller placed $600 cash in my hand. I laughed and said to Source "That's great, but I need money to come to me from somewhere other than my own bank account. This money for my rent and I need another $600 cash to pay the removalist." The next day, in the midst of packing, I got a call to say I had to have my tax return in immediately, that day. I was mightily annoyed to have to do this in the middle of my packing, but interestingly everything I needed to do was sitting right on top of a box next to my computer. I did the tax return online and submitted it electronically. When I completed it I was told I would owe $200. Then when I tried to submit it the program kept doing this weird stuff that I didn't understand and I just kept pushing buttons hoping I wasn't telling any big lies about my income. Each time I answered a question the amount of tax I owed went up higher and higher. At the end of all these strange questions the program submitted the return and told me I owed $600. I didn't care, I just wanted to get packed so I could move. A week later I looked in my bank account and there was an extra $600. I had no idea where it had come from. The Tax Office! A $600 refund! With no effort from me (other than submitting my tax return which I had to do anyway) and it came from an unexpected and surprising source. Like Wally's old man with the rug in his front room, I've asked for more this time! |

Congratulations Petra!
Recently I got notice from a tenant that he was moving out. I owe him $2000 in deposits and I am having a bit of a cash crunch so I was worried about that. A few days later I finally finished doing my 2007 taxes. And - lo and behold - there was a refund for almost that same amount, plus a little bit. One of the reasons I put off doing my taxes for so long was because I thought I was going to owe! So I was very surprised and very grateful. Around that same time, I unexpectedly got a check in the mail for $800. It was for a class-action lawsuit that I didn't even know I was a part of. I had no idea this money was coming to me, and when it arrived in my mailbox I just laughed with delight. SOGR is working already! Now the check stub hangs on my wall with a big giant THANK YOU written on it, reminding me every day that the universe is more kind and abundant than we often imagine. Thanks for sharing your story, Petra. May many more blessings come your way. |
