I’ve been a bit grumpy the past week or so. Our lives are so very busy that it is taking us much longer than I had anticipated to get through this course. After completing LL11, I checked the forum for posts from others as I have done with the previous Life Labs. There was nothing recent so I did a search.

Hmmmm…. I’m beginning to understand the reason for my grumpiness! It seems that others have experienced something similar about this point in the course. As I read through some of the old posts, I discovered that things seemed to go downhill for others before getting better. I’m not sure that they were necessarily grumpy, but that is how it has affected me. I have been very discouraged at our financial situation (things have not appeared to get any better with our business and the financial pressure has been mounting) when I had such high hopes only a couple of months ago. After reading about others’ experiences, however, I once again have hope that I am indeed on the right path and that I am just clearing out the old to make way for the new. Understanding this helps me to not be so grumpy. I just wish it could happen a little faster! Smile

Betty

Hi Betty;

I've mostly gotten over grumpy; but in the past when I started getting grumpy I started running some mind movies of things that I was grateful for! Looking back at my life God has pretty much given me what I had asked for.

I do have some elements of my CMI of who I want to be, what I want to do, and what I want to have that I haven't recieved yet! I am grateful for all that will come to me!

I also realize that I have not asked for enough, but I do know that thinking stuff wants me to have everything that I want or will want!

Thanks for the comments, Tom. I started a gratitude journal a couple of months ago. One thing I noticed when all this started coming on was that I had slacked off a bit on writing in it. I decided it was time to get back to it and it does help.

I like the idea of the mind movies, though. I just hadn't thought of doing one for what I am grateful for. One of these days, I'm going to spring for the software to do that. Meanwhile, I guess I'll have to settle for the journal.

Hi again Betty,

My mind movies don't need any software, I carry them with me in my mind and play them whenever or wherever I like!

Ahhh, I see. I haven't gotten very good at that yet. It seems to take a lot of concentration for me. I need more practice!

Let it be easy, no work!

You might want to start out with words of gratitude then add pictures! If you want to be grateful for something in a room that will happen in the future put in a picture of how that room will look like in the future; and be grateful for it!

Our subconscious mind uses pictures rather than words to do it's work; something that I learned from Harry Carpenters book "The Genie Within" subtitled "The subconscious mind, how it works and how to use it".

BTW, our subconscious mind dosn't know what money is, but it sure knows what a new desk looks like if have looked at several and know what you like!

Thanks for the ideas, Tom! I'm fascinated with the subconscious and that book sounds like an interesting read. I'll have to put it on my ever growing list! Big Grin

I have to say that my husband and I were just talking about some aha moments I have had today (no time tonight to share those, unfortunately) and we actually took our name badges off the fridge and put them on. These name badges are magnetic and have been sitting there for probably a year and a half. I don't think I have ever put mine on before. They are for the next level in our business. Wow! What an awesome feeling it was to put that on! We have decided that we will wear them around home and only put them on the fridge when we go out and can't wear them. Wink We could actually be at that level in as little as two weeks, so that's pretty exciting! I am extremely anxious to see what's going to happen next. Big Grin

Hey Tom

Is that for real!

Haven't really looked at it like that, although I am reading up on "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind" by Dr. Joseph Murphy, and while he doesn't seem to have stated the same thing in exact words, I can see the interpretation now that you've mentioned it.

Just wondering?
