Truth Vs Appearances - well I'm OK with this but when doing the LL exercises I'm stumped at "what better questions could you ask in this situation in order to get better answers?"

I don't really have any situation in my life right now that I call "bad" - less than perfect maybe but not bad. Can anybody shed any light on this for me?

Hi. If something is happening in my life that is "less than perfect" I ask myself (when I remember to), "What story am I telling myself about this situation (that makes me feel bad)?" The 2nd question then becomes,"What are the facts without the 'story'?" and 3rdly, "What's a different story that makes me feel better?". This approach is what I have taken from studying the works of Byron Katie. Byron Katie's big questions are, "Is this true?" and "How do I know that this is true, where's my proof?" It's the justifying of what we believe to be true that brings out our underlying beliefs and lets us know what story we are running with (if that makes sense. Let me know if this works for you. Mozz

This is what I put in February of 2007.

Yesterday after noon as we were about to leave the shop a customer spoke to my wife about the quality of a job that we had done. Fortunately I didn't speak to the customer as I would have blamed our press operator - when after asking better questions I realized that she had done the best with the situation given her. It was the customers art, the customer is not a graphic designer and uses a very non professional program. I earlier told our press operator to focus on getting the pictures to color and spent less time focusing on the background color. She did exactly what I told her to do.

Insted of asking the question of why did this go wrong I now asked how can we produce a better job next time. I think that I have a solution but need to do some research this morning. - Thanks LL8.

Thanks Mozz /Conscious Creator, that does make sense. I will go back and re-think LL8 with your suggestions (questions) and see what comes up for me. I really appreciate your help and I'm truly greatful for your efforts.
