I wrote and rewrote my desires more than once to say the least.

I may end up reworking them as time goes on; however I am very happy to have direction and purpose in my life.

I really like the process of rating your desires, because it really cuts out the fluff and I don't have a nagging feeling that I have chosen goals that don't really represent who I am deep inside.

I thought I'd be done with the course by now and I am not even half way through yet. The lessons are really making me think; I am having to put some thought and work into it. However that is a very good thing since we are dealing with things like "purpose", "meaning", and "life".

Hi Luis,

You are doing great! The main thing is what you get from the course, not getting through it that counts!

Be good to yourself, live life passionately and always, always expect success!! I don't know how long I will live, but I'll live until I die!!

Hi Luis,

I am also at LL 14 and, like you, I'm really appreciating the thought that went into the lesson, and the thought that I am applying to getting the most from the lesson.

By rating my "passionate desires" I actually eliminated one that, as I thought it through, was more of a "this pleases others" desire. It has some value, but nothing near a 9 or 10. This is helping me focus on the most important desires.

Putting on my coach hat here ...

Whoa, Thom -- slow down! You only signed up for the course 14 days ago so there's no way to follow the course instructions and be up to LifeLab 14 already. LifeLab 9 takes a whole week all by itself and the recommendation is to do one of the other LifeLabs every couple of days.

So, ANYONE who is rushing through this course, please listen up: You're cheating yourself and missing the point. See, this is NOT about stuffing more information into your head. It's about giving yourself the gift of relaxing into all of this, going slowing and -- as Wally says -- really CONTEMPLATING what's being offered here.

I know that an awful lot of us have a tendency to want to rush things, but remember that rushing comes from a deep-seated (even if unconscious) belief in LACK, not in abundance. It is totally counterproductive and will actually set you back.

Relax into all of this. PLAY with it. Let it be easy, flowing, and fun. THAT is where ALL the value is. I promise! Wink

OK, now on the subject of "reworking" desires ... Big Grin

That's not really necessary. In fact, you don't ever need to write anything down or try to refine it in order for it to come into existence "out here" in the physical world.

In fact, every moment you're having new desires and reshaping old ideas -- without even realizing you're doing it most of the time.

The purpose of the LifeLabs is just to help you become CONSCIOUS of the sort of stuff going on in your thinking so that you can notice when your thoughts are heading you AWAY from what you'd prefer to experience (be, do, or have). Then, you can choose to shift that thinking. But you can't make the choice when you're not aware of what's going on. See? Wink

And remember that you can always, always, always tell which direction you're headed by how you feel. (Which is another reason I keep saying to relax and play with all this. When we turn it into "work," it doesn't feel good. It feels tight and tense and like we're trying to force something to happen -- and that is NOT how SOGR works) Wink

Rebecca.......I am interested in what suggestions you might have for me. I have a networking business that, up til now, hasn't had much success. Although I believe I have a life changing opportunity for folks, I do not have a relaxed feeling when I call people to introduce my company. I have the, "I'm trying to force something to happen" feeling.

What suggestions might you have for me?

One of my dreams is to become financially free and I believe the networking vehicle will get me there.

Thanks,
Brian
