Hi my name is Joan, I have been with the course sense February this year. This is my first time on the board. my question is has anyone following this course become rich? and,if so, can they share with us the time frame. My reason for asking, I have been doing things in a certain way now, sense 1972. I am new to the course but not to doing things in a certain way.The things Wattles is saying to do, I have been doing and cotinue to do and I have not become monetary rich. Don't get me wrong doing things in a certain way has created miracles in my life.I was widowed at age 30, uneducated with 6 children between 13yrs-9 months to support which I did with ease, don't ask me how, I could not begain to tell you. Their all graduated high school and 3 went to complete college with a BS degree. As you can see doing things in a certain has been great for me and my family. I need to be rich.

Hi Joan: I am a new student here, having gotten through the first 2 Life Lab studies, and still in the process of reading the book for the first time. For me that equals about one week's worth of time. My friend John sent my husband Mike to this site because the three of us have been struggling with a critical shortfall of up front cash for the better part of 3 years... And we all know better, but as John pointed out, this can really turn your head around very fast and remind you of what you might have gotten complacent about. Sure did for me.

Since last Thursday, a week ago, I have experienced a total of $405 in increased bottom line. The wonderful thing about this is that it has allowed me to purchase the course, AND pay myself a wage for the first time in several months. That's a handy thing to have, the feeling that your efforts have an economic value and that you get to decide what it is...

Will I become "RICH!!!" ? My feeling is YES. Do I know when or How, my answer is No, and neithr of those things matter a hill of beans. What does matter is that I see the changes and I welcome them, and I thank the Universe and all the spiritual connections within it for the changes I am seeing in myself.

Are you rich? My guess is that you are a lot richer than you feel, but not monitarily where you want to be yet. You go girl, and create the picture of yourself in your RICH world the way you want it to be... The certain way will bring you rewards that you ask for if you remember to express gratitude and appreciation, and if you remain true to the principals that Wally told us about.

I sure do appreciate the ability to share with all the other students out there, and with the world within me, too.

Ok my first thing to say is I have had the book for a while but have never really read it until I decided to make a concerted to the application of these guidlines

which I have done and already I am seeing results in small ways like rebecca say just do the things in a certain way and it will happen even if you just pretend to believe

Vision Purpose Faith and Gratitude are the corner stones of this science

Like my vision is a better life for myself in perfect detail I purposefully create it in the Universe I have faith it is created and gratitude

Those are enuff

My guess is those who have hit it big with this won't be lingering around the site to inform others. Many will keep it to themselves.

I have been using a very simarly system (actually the same thing in different words) for a year or so and have definately found my first miracle in the form of a car loaned by my brother.

I will not give up, nor do i suggest you do so. Check your faith and outlook- the correct attitude will guarantee you success. It's hard but Wattles says so. Don't give up your visions.

That's a typical problem with these discussion boards. Whoever succeeds with success, leaves the board. I don't know if anybody became rich following "Science Of Getting Rich" book and Rebecca's fabulous audio and follow-up lessons.I have been a member of countless discussion groups on Manifestation, Silva method, Abraham-Hicks, Affirmation etc. and the story is almost always the same - a lot of people "trying real hard" to believe in something that they can't really bring themselves to believe (don't misunderstand me - the lot of people includes me - I'm not preaching anything anybody - merely stating my observations).

And then they keep coming back for more tools and techniques, they continue thier search for the next technique, the add-on technique or whatever name one gives it. Then there's the intellectual discussion on what getting rich actually means (as if it means the same thing to everybody...), my technique vs. yours and my guru vs. yours. In the process few years pass. You win a few battles, lose a few, read a few feel-good postings and read a few misery stories. But your checking account status remains pretty much the same. Reason - you were "trying" to believe...never actually believed in the truth.

Success stories do help instill a sense of belief in the see-and-I-shall-believe mentality that most of us have. But those who succeed are not here....maybe never were.Else, after all this time, this board should have been awash with great stories of success and riches - not discussions on our failures, our miseries (like my very own post a few days back - Mickey's story), our doubts and sometimes that-was-a-feel-good posts.

Where are the riches? They are not here on this discussion board - and they never will be ours unless we stop discussing misery and instead bathe in a steady stream of success and riches stories. Sucess comes from an environment of Success. You get the point...

I read the book once and am taking Rebecca's course.

Over the last 2 months that I've been working I've seen a little more money come my way and a lot more opportunities and action on some projects of mine.

If a couple of these deals come through, then I will be well on my way in my career and in getting rich.

I have noticed a great change in my behaviour, my energy and the attitudes of people I deal with.

So I am seeing results already!

Hi all,

The number of views on this topic is telling.

I feel that this question is a "wrong" question, because it focusses the attention to outside of oneself, rather than WITHIN!
You see, what is outside is always second hand, so to speak. What is outside is "already created", by someone else's impressions of thought upon the Formless Substance. What good does that to you or me?, other than for us to give our opinions about what we see!

If you follow Wally's advice, and remain "in the creative mode", you simply do not ask silly(sorry) questions, but are busy creating!

The moment we want proof of another's so-called success, we fall into the competitive
( comparitive) mode, and are busy creating competitiveness, also called "miscreating".

Gratefulness does not ask questions but is certain of the outcome of one's own creative efforts, by understanding and applying the principles.

In fact Wally answers the question already by stating that the proof of the pudding lies in the (your own) eating!

And, lastly, SOGR is not really about "getting rich", but about discovering that we are rich already! This may seem a riddle, and so it is!

Blessings to all.

PS I was in the position to travel to my homecountry (Holland)last weekend, and re-visit 7 and 3/4 out of 10 grandchildren.
Playing chess with my 7 year old grandson, was bliss and rich beyond measure.Reading books to various 3 year old girls was not measurable in money. Holding my youngest 4-month old grand daughter in my hands (this was the first time I saw her), and looking in her deep blue eyes -so fresh from paradise- made me speechless with gratitude.

I counted my blessings and ran out of digits!
I am rich beyond measure! Smile

Never forget, abundance is our birthright.

I have been reading SOGR for about a month and following the course for two weeks and I have already seen great results.

Last week I began to receive $600 a month in child support that I had not been able to collect on my own. It now has became a wage attachment from my ex's paycheck and I don't have to beg/threathen/etc. him to get it for our son. This is roughly a 40% increase in income for me and will almost pay my rent.I also got a $80 a month raise at work and have been able to pick up about 30 hours of overtime, which at time and a half is quite a bit of money. As a single mom I was feeling the pinch financially.

I guess doing things a certain way can affect my family as well. My oldest daughter moved back home after living out of state for two years and she got three jobs offer in one week. My son also got a part-time unexpected job(he wasn't even looking)paying $10 an hour, doing odd jobs around our apartment complex. Which is better than working at McDonald's for minimum wage. Our apt. manager just showed up at our door and asked me if my son would be interested in making a little money! After he left,my son asked"What brought that on?" This is the same morning my daughter was offered her third job.I just shook my head and said "We are on our way to finally getting good to come into our lives."

Other than financially I have had the same things happening to me that others have noted such as increased energy, small miracles, better rapport with my customers and a better attitude in general.

The SOGR system truly works.

Hi Joan

Welcome to the course, I guess if you have the time you could look back at the many hundreds of posts, I have been here since the first course started about a year ago, there, in amongst the helpful discussions about "how can I get over this hurdle etc" are plenty of people whose lives have improved and whose visions are becoming real for them.

Work through the course, it does take a bit of time to get through all the life labs and I found that a lot of my questions were answered as I went along, all those many questions we have at the start.

Regarding a time frame, well I guess that is up to you and your vision, personally I have a vision of the life I desire to be living and I am certainly heading that way at a great rate of knots, more money, less work hours, I had one of the best Christmases last year and was able to share it all with friends and family, I have booked a holiday in the sun for a break this winter, the courses I need to do so I can achieve my vision are being paid for by my work, and it just keeps going on and on, I am still learning and occasionaly fall off my bike, but it is easy to get back on now and get riding high again.

As Wally says, it is up to you, with this course you will be provided with the tools to create your vision and how to get it.

Cheers
Denise
