Hi guys

Just wanted to share with you the ways I will be practicing gratitude. I have kept a gratitude journal for a few years now so it is second nature to me, and I love the ideas in this life lab for deepening that gratitude and 'being gratitude'.

Rebecca asks us to find 3 ways to practice gratitude...I got 5!
1. Say thank you EVERY DAY to someone who has helped me
2. Look for something new to be grateful for every day (today, it's my elbow!)
3. Be grateful for something in nature every day (the wind in the trees today)
4. Thank myself for something every day
5. Be grateful for the future (either something I will have in the future, or just the future, however it pans out)

I would love to hear other people's ideas on practicing gratitude.

Love

This is very helpful Donna.x. I have been doing a gratitude journal for just over a month. I am really enjoying it and see some major benefits in both my personal life and in my relationships.

I love your 5 points because they cover 5 different areas of life. Up 'til now I have found it easy sometimes to take things for granted. By covering different areas of my life while expressing gratitude I am able to appreciate all of them individually while the habits I am creating become second nature.

Thanks Dave! I've been having some fun with this because I am often thankful for all the things I mentioned...but don't necessarily make a point of mentioning them in my gratitude journal - it is really helping me to realise just how lucky I am! Over the past few years, my gratitude journal has changed so much - from something I struggled with to something I can fill a page on without thinking too hard about it!

One thing I have always done is to learn how to say thank you in the language of a country I am visiting - I am off to Copenhagen in a couple of weeks - anyone know the Danish for 'thank you'?

Hi Donna

Like you, for me it is keeping a gratitude journal - this has been a great tool for me, smiling and acknowledging people as much as possible, making sure I thank people and show appreciation and lastly to notice and appreciate things around me like the clouds, the weather and the continued amazment that everything we see was once formless and a vision that someone / the universe had!

Thank you in Danish is 'tak' I think!

Thanks Jo (or should that be 'tak'?!)

And thank you also for a wonderful idea for something to be grateful for - the wonder and inspiration of a world full of dreams realised and to be realised.

love
