Fast money!

How would you go about creating some fast money?

Let's say you were determined to get, or really needed (bills coming up) a certain amount of money in a week's time.

Do you sit around and visualize and know that it's coming and that's it, or do you call everyone you know and try to create some work or something, everyday, until the money appears, or some combination?

Has anyone tried doing this?

After writing my post, I remembered how I was able to create some money quickly, simply by visualizing, at least that's how it seemed.

It was around 1996. I knew I wanted to make some more money and happened to notice a book called "Creating Money" at Barnes & Noble. I bought it and did the "imagining myself as a magnet" exercise in one of the first chapters. A few days later I got a call from a musician friend of mine who said that a private school was looking for someone to teach an electronic music class. He remembered that I was involved with music production and engineering (I hired him for a session once) and thought I might be interested. I had no experience teaching a class (7th & 8th grade kids), had no background in education and no certification, but I got hired for the job with no background check or anything and I had to invent a curriculum! I taught there for a few years part time and while I was there I also gave some private lessons and subbed for the other music teachers and got some other work too. Also, one of the teachers recommended me to a private event company that I am still performing with! A lot has come and continues to come (although much less lately) from what was a simple visualization 16 years ago.

It would be nice if it always worked this way!

Dear Barry,

It DOES always work that way. Visualization is the keystone of the Science of Getting Rich and the Law of Attraction.

The trick is, you have to FEEL it. If you can work yourself into a nice little place of feeling great and really loving your vision, then you WILL attract good things to you.

You know it works, so just do it again!

Love and blessings,
Rachel

I can understand this mentally and I know that I have done it numerous times in my life before and after my 1996 story above but for some reason, I have been inconsistent in creating the feeling (up 'til now).

Coincidentally, I just started working on LifeLab 10 a few minutes ago which is what this is all about...

"By thought, the thing you want is brought to you, by action, you receive it." from chapter 11 of SOGR book.

So my answer to your question is both!

Here is what I am learning about action, however. It doesn't have be the do-do-do, hard work kind of action that I used to think was necessary. Acting in a certain way is the kind of action that is needed. For me, this can be ANY action. It doesn't have to be different than I always do, it doesn't have to have anything to do with bringing in "fast money". I just need to be thinking about my desire with gratitude that it is mine now (i.e., thinking in a certain way) as I do whatever I do... When I do this, the next right actions (if any) seem to show up. I find myself doing those actions with little or no effort - sometimes don't even notice until I've done something... I find it creates better and faster results if steer clear of doing the "shoulds"... makes for not-so-powerful thinking and results.
