I started SOGR about three weeks ago. I read through the book, got the CD and listened everyday. I also started Rebecca's course. I was sure I was on my way to my goal, expanding my career in the area of Real Estate investing. This is something I've been working to do for the fast few years, but kept getting sidetracked on different projects.
Last week a training opportunity related to another entrepreneural option I'd applied for a few months ago became available. Now I'm torn between this (safer) option and Real Estate investing (more risky). Mr. Wattles says to choose what you want to do and stay focused; one can make money in any business. I was on tract, now I'm confused...Any thoughts? Thanks |

Hi Shirl
I'm wondering how far you are in the course and whether you have a really strong CMI. Once you are really clear about your heart's desires then decisions like this one are much easier to make. You will just be drawn to the right action. If your CMI is not strong enough then it will be difficult to make a decision. So I suggest you either spend time getting your CMI clear or if you have already done this, then spend a day or two just contemplating your CMI, taking all pressure off yourself regarding making this decision. When you are crystal clear about your CMI then you will have clarity rather than confusion. Enjoy, Love and abundance, Amanda |

I really like Amanda's point. Getting a clear CMI is crucial.
I am wondering if there is any chance you can do both. I have been a part time investor in Real Estate for a while and it is definitely doable. I have made it part of my CMI that way. I want to continue investing because of the cash flow and tax benefits but I am happy doing it part time! Shirl, what do you want (REALLY want)?
Why do you want it? Let's start there. Remember that our friend Mr. Wattles says (and he's SO right about this!) that when you're in doubt about any particular possible action, it's best to do nothing and to fall back onto contemplation of what you really want, thinking about it in a way that causes you to feel grateful, happy, enthusiastic. Love & blessings, and, of course-- EXPECT Success! Rebecca |

Rebecca & SOGR community,
It's been a little over a month since I wrote in about being confused. Since then I've finished the SOGR course, clarified my CMI and have now completed the 1st week of the follow-up lessons. I must say, I feel more confident about my decisions and my actions. I'm seeing my thinking and my habits change, and I'm taking action with more certainty. However, even though I have clearly stated what I want and am using visualization and gratitude, I am still having trouble staying focused and believing that what I want can happen. I'm sure that will come with time and continuing with the program. Change is gradual and "living life by design" and trusting one's feelings takes practice and faith. By the way, the "distraction" I wrote about in my 8/2 post went away. That is, I decided not to do it. Why? I really didn't want to do it, just thought I should because it would be a "safer" route. It takes courage to go for what you truly want. Thanks Rebecca!! Shirl Bloom where you are.... |
