I am having so much fun with gratitude in advance.

You know, I joined this group because although I've been working with these principles for years I knew that I was missing a piece of the puzzle, had gotten perhaps a bit lazy with it.

I wanted to find out where I was letting myself down.

It's been so much fun reconnecting with SOGR and doing the coursework. I've read the book many, many times but the coursework has really some shed new light on the material for me, as Rebecca shares her experience and her perspective.

I have been enjoying the realisation that I desire something and the process of being thankful for receiving it. A bill to be paid - hey, where did that cash come from to pay that bill so easily??, shelving in my wardrobe - a tradesman literally turned up at my bedroom door to do a small job for my landlord and said he'd be happy to do the shelving, new clothes - a gift.

Just now I had run out of paper for my printer half way through a project. I needed 5 more pages to complete the project.

"Thank you for the 5 pieces of printing paper I'm about to find." And yes, less than a minute later I stumbled upon .... exactly 5 pieces of printing paper.

Off to finish my project now.

Congratulations, Trinity.

This is, to me, an EXCELLENT approach and attitude.

So often, when people "try" something for a while and don't get all the results they want immediately, they give up and say "it didn't work."

I've noticed, though, in my own experiments (our lives are our laboratories!), that when I take a course or begin to implement the teachings of a book or whatever and it doesn't seem to be working out the way it has for other people, that IF it IS working for others, then I must not be following the plan as well as I thought.

I'm the variable, and my understanding or action form the "weak link."

So I go back in and look to see if I've missed something, misunderstood, if I've turned left where it said to turn right.

Sure enough, every time I've done that I've discovered something I could then tweak, adjust, or sometimes even just discard and start over.

It's really always up to us: How willing are we to take a look at OURSELVES? And then how willing are we to let go of what is NOT working? (Strangely, that one can be really tricky and sticky -- go figure. We're such funny animals.)

But when we ARE willing and we DO go within, amazing things happen. Things we call "small" and things that are jaw-droppingly awesome as well.

Good for you! Big Grin

Love & blessings, and, of course--
EXPECT Success!
Rebecca
