Hi,

A few days ago, I had a really hard time dealing with a bunch of 16 year olds, my son and his friends. They descended on my home, ate everything in sight,and I mean everything! Went for a swim, used my newly laundered towels and then left without a thank you! In my competitive mind, it was such a big deal! I went beserk! I was really upset. I had to go shopping a again (for the second tie that day) and I had to do the laundry a second time. I counted the cost of all the food that they had eaten, and that was an even bigger deal! Then I went on the SOGR website to get my latest Life Lab lesson, and lo and behold, there was the very large bomb, and the very small bomb. The truth hit home instantly. I was counting the cost to myself instead of being grateful that my son was comfortable in bringing his friends home, that I could meet them, and most of all, I knew where he was, instead of him hanging out in the mall or roaming the streets. Thank you Rebecca and Mr Wattles. You were there for me when I needed you.

Thank you all for posting. I so much appreciate getting other views on thoughts and ideas. It brings to life the addage of I thought I had it bad when I had no shoes until I saw the man who had no feet (paraphrased, I'm sure Haha). But you get the message. Learning new ways of looking at things from people from other perspectives is a life lab of it's own. You add to my life and I am grateful for you all.

I know how you felt up til now I have been grombeling about having my 17 year old doughter in a program that cost $2,500 per month, I did not gromble for the fist 12 months but now I find my self grumbling for the last 3 months but no more after reading your post and finding out that I am increasing her life and I will get back 100 fold.
I am greatful that I can do this for some one I love with all my life.

thank you for sharing your thoughts in the forum!

It is good that you became aware of your counting of what your guests ate especially the part when after that you directed your focus on what you got back from that small amount you spent for them.
Was it not much more than what you thought you gave them :-)?

YOu can be grateful for we get back xfolds what we first give to others including ourselves!
So, give life and increase in the lifes of people and your own life and watch the beautiful and RICH harvest every time.

This is what I believe and the results never failed to show up in my life whenever I acted in that way, the results were there for me with a mathematical certainty!
Thank you for reminding me of that gift, now I feel even more rich than before!
