For those of you who are new to SOGR and not sure whether this thing works, I'd like to briefly share my recent history. Hopefully, this will inspire you to achieve the success you deserve.

In 2000 I was working part time, had no money in the bank and was $30,000 in debt. I had a wife and two teenage daughters to support. We had not had a "real" holiday for years.

I was unfit, overweight and a smoker. I had a long medical history including cancer at age 30 and no spleen thanks to a sporting accident in my teens. My cholesterol was out of control and I had just been diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis.

Over the next few years, at the age of 50, I went back to working fulltime and reduced the amount owed to $20,000. I had a few dollars in the bank but not enough to survive if I lost my job. Retirement seemed just around the corner but welfare looked our only option.

All of this began to change in April 2005 when I found Rebecca, Wally and SOGR. I read the book (many times), did the Practical Genius Course, followed the principles without question, practiced gratitude and...... miracles began to occur.

Within a month I had a payrise of $6,000 a year. Six months later, a small inheritance came my wife's way and our debts were paid off. We also had enough left over to purchase a holiday caravan on the south coast of NSW Australia. The rest went into the bank.

More payrises came in 2006. I also started a small internet business which is growing rapidly and will allow me to fund my retirement over the next 12-24 months. And then.....the Big One. On June 24 of this year I, and a workmate, won $266,666.67 in Australian Saturday Lotto.

In addition, I have reversed a lot of my former illnesses, got fit and healthy, run marathons, and bought a brand new car. This month I travelled to Argentina and Brazil with 8 members of my family, something that appeared impossible 18 months ago.

Was this all a fluke? A coincidence? Was it just luck? You need to make up your own mind about this. All I know is that I wasn't lucky before. I am now. I was broke before. I'm not now. I was unhealthy before. I'm fit and healthy now. My life sucked before. It's fantastic now. Financially, I had no future before SOGR. I have an amazing present and a wonderful future now.

Believe it. SOGR works. When you truly believe it, miracles will start to happen for you, too......just like it has for me.

Don't sell yourself short. Go after Big Goals. Believe it. Achieve it. SOGR is on your side.

All the best from
Captain Kirk

Dear John K.,
Thanks so much for sharing, you are a power of example. Testimonials like this are so important for me to hear, because although I am following SOGR to the absolute best of my ability, your story and EXACTLY HOW IT HAPPPENED FOR YOU helps dispel those nagging little doubts and help me to see that SOGR WORKS! I would love to hear testimonials from others, and soon plan to share my successes with what I now call "The Grand Experiment", ie, my house, with you all.

Great post, John Smile

Your story is truly an inspiration to all of us here, I'm sure.

BTW, you mentioned gratitude. How do you practise gratitude? I mean, do you do it consciously, on a daily basis? And in what form?

Anyway, thanks for sharing Smile

I am really pleased that you have all enjoyed my story. Spiritdream, Shannon, Quantum Leap, The Unseen, attractor, Ancient Soul, greenflashwriter and devans.....Thanks for all your support. Stick with this, keep learning and never, never, never quit. SOGR will not fail you.

Shannon, I had a fantastic time in Brazil. The hospitality was overwhelming from our new Brazilian family.

Quantum Leap, with regards to practising gratitude, I constantly think of good things that are yet to come and use affirmations like this...."I am incredibly grateful for the money that is coming my way over the next three months." I do this while smiling inside. I have finally learnt to be grateful for what I don't yet physically have in my possession.

It never previously occurred to me that I should do this. This is a big key to my success.

All the best to all of you.

John, I love the way you write Smile
Wow .. your testimonal is inspiring me to stick with it and be grateful for the progress I've made too .. Getting out of debt, getting back your health, travel, having your dreams restored and a happy retirement to look forward to with no lack Smile.. Heck, I've been worrying myself stupid about my retirement lately and I'm 37 ;0 ...

Have you considered putting out a CD with your story spoken on it? You could make it avaialble on your website ? It is just so good. (eek am I allowed to say this stuff in the forum?).

What took you over to Brazil?

I'm going to go back and read your story again Smile

I love this story. Smile Smile I remember reading the blurb about the lottery in one of the news letters. It changed the way I was thinking about somethings in my own and life, and was one of the last deciding factors in me taking the PG course. Gongratulations!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so excited for you, and your family.

Many, many more blessing to you

Hi John, thanks for replying.

Your idea of showing gratitude is a good one. Some else mentioned in these forums that the maintained a "Gratitude Journal".

Guess there are different ways to impress upon the formless.

I'm incredibly grateful that such a forum exists!

Hi David
A CD you say? Maybe in future. I have to write an E-book first. Getting time to do that is hard enough. Thanks for the idea.

As for Brazil....a wedding took us there. My nephew married a Brazilian girl from Sao Paulo. One thing lead to another and we visited Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls, Sao Paulo, Paraty and Rio in that order. What a trip. Having money really does make the difference in your life.

A wise man once said, "It's better to be rich and healthy than poor and sick." Can't argue with that.

I look forward to hearing of your successes soon David.

Hi T
I am pleased that I had a hand in your doing the course. I am incredibly grateful that I could be of assistance. Now, please go on and inspire others to read the book and follow the SOGR principles.

I think that we should do our bit to relieve world poverty one person at a time. Spread the word.

Thank you for the inspiring post John

I joined last April and have 'become lucky' too. Many good things have happened. Life has become happier than I've ever imagined. Today was extremely lucky.

Your story is similar enough to mine that I hope to do much the same.
