Yesterday I did the LL20 exercise and listened to the audio. Throughout I admit I was a bit dismissive of certain elements, b/c I don't and have never had a problem receiving... or at least that's what I though up till now.
Just hours after completing the LL. I was on the road visiting some accounts I have for work. Upon entering an account the retailer, who I have known for 7 years and see regularly, say's to me... "Hi! You always look so fresh, and relaxed, and good." I immidiatley said, "I DO NOT LOOK FRESH & RELAXED & GOOD everytime you see me - I'm usually a disaster." As soon as it came out of my mouth I got it.
Clearly I don't recieve at all - not like I thought I did. The retailer was being genuine and nice and expressing her feelings. I had the opportunity to accept it, and simply say Thank You. Made me wonder how many other times, situations I have sabatoged as a result of not receiving. Receiving ALL things is much harder and complicated than I thought. Something to work on for sure. On to the next LL... Thanks!

What a good aha moment this must be for you. Congratulations Smile

When you know that everything you desire is already in you, receiving is easy!

What a wonderful realization GVenus! Recognizing this is a great step towards choosing to react / respond differently. Instead of the just cranking out a conditioned response I now find myself being more receptive (and a better listener too)!

A number of years ago, I was taught that it's polite if someone compliments you to just say "Thanks". I now know it's more than politeness. It's accepting the positivity and love behind the comment. It's also accepting that the comments ARE true.
