So I have really begun to change my mindset concerning making money. I'm working everyday in creating an image in my mind of what I want. I'm really looking forward to future lessons where we will be working on that CMI! However, for Lesson 8, I decided to write about my desire to lose weight and how I've been thinking about it through the "scarcity" frame of mind (I will have to "deprive" myself to lose weight.) I've working on looking at it from a higher plane but was wondering if anyone has any words or phrases I can use that can help me change my thinking around permanently.
Thanks! This course has been amazing so far! |

As a Vegan for the past 19 years I find that I eat a more diverse diet than before! Therefore I don't find that I am depriving my self of anything!
Also if you cut back on fat you can eat more food with the same amount of calories; a gram of carbs and protien each has 4 calories while a gram of fat has 9 calories. I also found that meat is denser than plants are, I can fill up with less weight with plants than with meat! Be good to yourself, live life passionately and always, always expect success!! I don't know how long I will live, but I'll live until I die!! Tom Strong |

Hello Anne: I've been on a diet for 6 weeks; already has lost 25 pounds; many to go
What I realized is that I've been eating a lot more than before I sometimes get tired of eating :0. I eat many times a day (5 to 6) to keep my metabolism going. Of course I eat good stuff. Calories; I am eating between 1500 and 1600 a day. So go figure. Good luck. I've used EFT and Tom's guidance as well. Lots of love Luz Maria |

Thank you both so much for your posts! I know that success is all in how we think about our lives and what we are doing. I'll take your words to heart as I lose the weight I desire.

Anne, I have been thinking about this myself. Up till now, I have been a little compulsive about weighing myself. Because, up till now, if I did not, just a few days of not paying attention, would put on the pounds. But, last week, I decided to write my purpose in life. And in doing that, I was thinking how it could be applied to various parts of my life. I decided to stop weighing myself so obsessively. I also would like to lose 25-30 pounds, and realized focusing on LOSING weight, feels like a losing proposition.
Perhaps our bodies know intuitively that losing anything is not advantageous. And so, for some of us, when we focus on losing, our subconscious may say, NO! I will not lose. As Luz pointed out, EFT can help with the negative subconscious thoughts. And cravings. But, when asking myself what I REALLY want in regard to my body. I decided I want to eat healthy, move my body, and enjoy health. So, on my vision board (which is only on my computer) I put pictures of healthy food, and a girl running up stairs. I look at that board 2 or 3 times a day. And in only one week, I really am wanting to eat healthier. And, I have moved my body two days in a row. I did weigh myself this morning. But don't plan on doing that every day. I think I should add a glass of water to my vision board because I forget to do that. :-) So, my suggestion is, create a purpose for "becoming healthy" and focus on health, not weight necessarily. Ask yourself, what do you really want in this regard. And then create an affirmation. "I am 125 pounds and that's what I weigh." Focus on the goal, not the loss. That's my suggestion. |

I definitely agree with all that has been posted before.
I have never worried about my weight at all. I go through phases of working out a lot or eating more healthy foods, but mostly, I move when I feel like it and eat what I want. Some people might say that I'm "just lucky" because I'm usually pretty slender. I've also been a dancer most of my life and so being in good shape is part of my hobby. Still, I really think the attitude matters more than anything else. Lots of dancers obsess about their weight and then balloon as soon as they stop dancing. I don't have any food "issues." I just don't worry about it at all. I'm sure that the "science of being thin" is the same as the science of being well or the science of being rich. It's easy, once you let go of all the blockages and let it happen. Love and Blessings, Rachel |
