Upon commencing Life Lab 15 I am feeling extremely confident. My level of Faith and Purpose are heightened incredibly and I know [KNOW] I am here to advance life in general by creating wealth for myself and others. What a beautiful truth! SOGR is an incredible text and like the other elements of the New Thought movement, I intend to participate in the growth and acceptance of these concepts as much as possible.
Just wanted to SHOUT MY GRATITIUDE for this process, the people involved, and the blessing of taking part in it. It is so wonderful to participate in the greatest miracle of all time... my life! My best to you all! MacEwen Patterson entrepreneur/provacateur bump@bump-music.com |

The question was posted regarding the circumstances that led to discovering our life's purpose.
For me it started about four years ago. I was working on a job that I HATED. I couldn't see myself doing this day in and day out for the rest of my life. I started wondering "what is the meaning of life?" I knew there had to be more to life than getting up early each morning going to a job that I really, truly hated, just for enough money to pay a few bills, buy food and gas to get back and forth to this JOB. Shortly afterwards, I was SAVED. Which means I'm a Christian and believes that Jesus died for our sins. I started praying to God and asking Him to show me my purpose. Than, one day, it came to me so clearly and so concisely it was scary. Once I realized my purpose, I wondered what took me so long. All of my life I had come in contact with people who HATED their jobs but continued because they had bills to pay and food to buy. But whenever I asked them one simple question, they always had an answer. That question was, if you had all the money in the world, what would you do everyday? Once they told me, I would show them a way that they could do what they wanted to do, right now, so that they would eventually be free from their enslaving job and be free to do what they wanted to do. Yet, I continued on a job that I hated because I didn't realize that this was my purpose. My purpose was to teach others how to discover their life's purpose and incorporate it into a lucrative career. Once I realized that this was my calling, I moved forward and never looked back. Now, I speak at churches and youth organizations, teaching how to discover your life's purpose and how to incorporate it into a lucrative career. However, even though I discovered my life's purpose and was living it, I wasn't making a good living because most of the organizations I spoke to had little money to pay for my services. So, I do many, many, many speeches for free. But my desire is to be rich beyond my wildest dreams. I dream of owning a fabulous 4-bedroom house with a built-in swimming pool and basketball court in the back yard. I dream of giving away millions of dollars to youth organizations. I dream of reaching at least 10 million people to show them how to discover their life's purpose. The Science of Getting Rich, I believe, will show me how to do this. I want to share this with you and then I will let you go. This book, The Science of Getting Rich, showed up in my email one day from someone I do not know nor did I request it. However, I was visualizing myself rich and famous and the Universe brought this book to me. Wouldn't it be cool to get everything you desire in life? Here's a FR*E eCourse that will show you how. mailto:askandreceive@sendfree.com |

Hi all,
Dawn's posting caught my attention.Thank you. Dawn writes: "But my desire is to be rich beyond my wildest dreams." What if you are already? Have you forgotten what the Father says in the Parable of the Prodigal? .... All what is mine, is thine? (Oh, and I do not recall that the parable talks about anyone dying for the prodigal son). This is indeed "beyond our wildest dreams"! And that is why we must stop dreaming "wild" dreams, and wake up to the FACT of our true BEING Dawn, if you are that good, I suggest you start charging for your speeches... a litteral case of putting your money where your mouth is. Cultivate Trust in God (the Formless Substance)... is that not written on your dollars? When you charge, you begin to appreciate yourself as the excellent speaker that you are.... and people start appreciating you more as well, because you give MORE in exchange for their money! I am sure SOGR will be as enlightening for you as it is for all of us! Blessings Ben Never forget, abundance is our birthright. |

Grand Poobah (more fun than "Administrator") |
quote: OK, a bit of "coaching" here, so please hear it as gently and positively as it is intended. If you are teaching people how to "make a good living" by finding and fulfilling their life purposes, but you are not yourself making that good living, what's really going on here? Something may be out of alignment, out of harmony. And out of integrity. Now I don't mean you're being intentionally dishonest: Integrity just means "wholeness" and we all have places in our lives -- most of the time or occasionally -- that don't quite "fit" the way we'd prefer or in the way we feel is right. Places where what we say (and what we really think we fully "believe") doesn't completely match up with our actions -- yet. I think Ben's suggestion to start charging for your talks is excellent. And I'll tell you, too, that this is a subject I've had trouble with in the past. Frankly, undercharging -- or not charging at all -- for your work is a VERY female thing. We women tend to do it more than men and part of the reason why is that many of us have grown up in cultures where women's work has been devalued -- and especially in terms of MONEY -- and so we have internalized that and devalued it ourselves. Simply put, on some level (whether we're completely conscious of it or not), we've devalued ourselves and what we have to offer. Men do this, too, of course, in their own ways. Yet the financial version usually seems to affect more women more powerfully. The weird thing is that when any of us do this, we're actually saying NO to abundance, no to God. We're saying, no, don't give me any more. Another thing that happens frequently is that if the "product" we are offering is of a "spiritual" nature, we sometimes have this idea that it shouldn't bring us financial reward. But in my opinion that kind of thinking is also "out of integrity" because it's not about wholeness. In other words, it denies or forgets the fact that EVERYTHING is the same formless substance, the same energy, simply taking different forms. There is no separation between spiritual and material. They are just two aspects of the same thing, two sides of the same coin. It's our belief in some kind of separation there that causes the problem. This kind of thing popped up for me when I was wondering how to price this course. (And thank you for this post because it's given me the idea for this month's Certain Way feature: I'll tell you how I came to create the "set your own tuition" system. The July edition will be in your inbox by Thursday.) Then there's the question of the vision we're holding when we do this sort of thing:
If we're holding any of those images, what can we expect to create/attract? Yikes! And, too, when we give use value without receiving cash value (and in an appropriate ratio), then we're setting up the people we are giving to by not allowing them to be in balance. It's actually not fair or helpful for us to do that to others and certainly not useful to hold the vision of them as incapable. So ... perhaps these ideas are useful to you. I hope so! And I appreciate the opportunity to take another look at them in my own thinking and actions -- thanks! Many blessings, and, of course-- EXPECT Success! Rebecca |
