Good Morning Beautiful People!
I am in a bit of a quandry with my CMI. I have recently noticed yet another layer of limited thinking as I was doing my CMI for a new home.

I know enough by now that what I attract is limited only by my beliefs. I also know that abundance can be attracted right where I am;that I don't have to go anywhere else if I don't want to. But this has led to a bit of confusion regarding my CMI, which is certainly why my home hasn't sold after being on the market for over a year.

Right now, I live in a beautiful waterfront home that I inherited. I love the layout, and would love to do some upgrades to make it more energy-efficient.

Since SOGR and the PG course:
I am paying the bills (heat, electric, phone, food, car maintenance)on ONE INCOME alone-MINE, doing what I LOVE Big Grin Big Grin,

I have made payments on backtaxes owed, and I did it with love, no resentment towards the town anymore.

I also recently repaired the three huge skylights on the roof that were leaking badly after putting in an insurance claim, so one major upgrade has been made since SOGR and the PG course.

My thought of moving was borne originally (BEFORE doing the PG course) out of a desire to reduce overhead so that I wouldn't have to work countless hours just to pay the taxes and energy bills, and a major resentment towards the town for charging such high taxes. Now I know better, and that $$ can come from anywhere, because it comes from the Universe, and I attract it with thought and FEELING.

To stay here in this home and have it be less physically demanding would require the purchase of power equipment like a tractor/snowblower with a brushhog. It would also require thousands in upgrades to make the home energy-efficient, which is very important to me. I feel resistance when I think of staying here, because I am having a hard time conceiving of having enough $$ flow coming in to easily pay bills and do the necessary upgrades here without hitting the Megabucks or something, or without putting this house up for sale, or without working countless hours to exhaustion.

Moving therefore seems more "real" than attracting enough $$ to be able to stay here, because with what I could gain from selling this house, I could easily affort to build a smaller place with all the energy efficient upgrades that I want, and pay for it outright. I could also live on property where the taxes are considerably lower, and pay the taxes easily. My biggest fear with this new place is actually moving, packing, and all that stuff, and where we'll live in between homes, and how I'll run my pottery business. It brings up all the old stuff from when I was homeless before. Of course, who's to say that we can't find the home of our dreams and just move in without waiting to build? Big Grin

My question to self: Am I wanting to stay here for fear of moving?
Am I wanting to move for fear of not having the money to stay here?

Do I want THIS house or THAT?

I am confused, and would welcome some of your wonderful feedback with open arms.

Thanks in advance,
Julia

Hi Julia. One thing I am noticing is that you seem to be focusing on some things which you don’t want. Because of this, you are attracting more of them into your experience. Similar to you, doing the PG course has opened my eyes to so many things. In my case, even though the “overall thought process” has improved greatly (and continues to do so) there are occasional “disconnects”. This to me is one of the more subtle things I have learned in my time here. I am moving down a path and having a great time. At the same time, I will catch myself in a thought process which occasionally doesn’t feel right. That for me is the indicator! I try to operate simply: 1) notice my thoughts, 2) reflect on how it feels and 3) shift my thinking when the feeling is not the one I desire.

I also notice you really getting involved with how things are going to show up. Whether it is related to staying or moving you seem to have it worked out that it will be hard and will cost a lot. I am thinking that neither of these needs to be the case. But if you focus on this it is what you will experience. Just in the case of energy efficiency alone, many towns / cities and utility companies have programs to help homeowners improve the energy efficiency of their homes. Maybe you have checked it out already but if not, it might be worth a call.

Have you made a list of all the things which you can leave up to the Universe to handle? It is a great way to remove these items from your focal point and will assist you in focusing on what your heart desires.

Hi Dave and Julia,

thanks for your, as always, amazingly insightful questions and comments Julia. Smile and thank you too Dave for the above comment. I love that and have found it a really really useful thing to do. It is stunning how so many of those 'items' that are left to the universe are resolved with no effort. I take a large sheet of paper and write on one side "Things to do" for me and on the other side "Things to leave to the Universe to manage" and write them all down. Fascinating!

Thanks for that reminder Big Grin I'm going to do that right now! I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed and this exercise is just the answer I required.

In gratitude, Carolyn

Hi Dave (and thanks Carolyn for the support also Smile)

I like the analogy of a "disconnect", because that's exactly what it feels like. I'm not quite "plugged in" right now.
I have in fact had improvements done through the local Community Action program 2 1/2 years ago when they blew in some cellulose in our roof, and they even replaced our old refrigerator-WHOOHOO!!) and my husband installed a new heating system 2 years ago which combined with the Community Action inprovements has saved hundreds in fuel costs. I'd like to put in a woodstove to supplement the oil heat as well as lower the ceiling.
But wow, the old "it will be hard and cost a lot" has popped up in both (THIS house or THAT) case scenarios, hasn't it? It's so good to identify the old thinking so that I can release it, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.

I am now making a list and changing that old thought to what Croz says: "Let it be EASY". I have given the tax and association fee situation to the Universe as well as any and all home improvements needed. Now it's time to "plug in" and meditate so that I can FEEL GOOD about RIGHT NOW.

Cheers,
Julia

Hey Julia,
Dave has given you some great advice as he always does so get busy with your list! I did one earlier this year and it is very helpful.

My advice after that is to do nothing. Instead invest sometime is doing stuff that makes you feel good, get yourself into the 'now' and enjoy each moment as it happens and when you find yourself worrying over what is the best option for you, pull yourself back to the present moment and ask to have whatever will bring you the most joy. Because remember, we can't see the greater picture, we can't see what the best option is, we have to have faith and strength to step away from situations and trust that whatever happens, is happening in the best way the universe knows how to bring you exactly what you want.

I'm currently in a similiar situation of do I go this way or that? And it is very confusing! So when it starts to weigh me down, I say my little prayer that I got on a tarot card.
"I'm tired of thinking about this situation, here I'm giving it to you so you can resolve it the best way possible. Thankyou so much for taking care of this for me." My flatmate asked me earlier what I was going to do and I told her, "nothing. I'm going to treat it like my work situation and do nothing and just wait for the best way to be shown!" The more you push, the harder you resist, the harder things get.

Then detach from the situation and fill yourself with faith and gratitude and go about your day enjoying each moment as it arises.

God Bless Julia,

Shannon

Hi Julia,

I have really seen such a great improvement in you over a fairly short period of time - a little over a year! And a lot of that growth has taken place through some challenging times!

Your pottery business has grown in spite of those challenges, think of how it could grow now that some of those challenges have settled down. I have seen your website of your beautiful work, and I know how much you enjoy creating it. I don't know how much you sell your work for - but I expect that you can sell it for more! With the right beleif system you could probabaly sell it for two, three or four times what you are selling it for now.

As you progress begin delegating more of your work to others, use other people to multiply your talents - and your income!

I expect to see your art at the best galleries in the world selling at some very high prices!!

Be good to yourself, live life passionately and always, always expect success!! I don't know how long I will live, but I'll live until I die!!

Hi Shannon,
This has been wonderful advice, and it has helped me so much lately as well as Dave's advice, thank you both!

In fact, now that the snow finally melted, I noticed that our stone wall had been pried apart by ice and is crumbling. My husband asked me, "So what are we going to do about it.?" I answered, "Nothing right now, I'm just going to enjoy the view of our beautiful lake." So I went on to do my pottery and felt good.

And you know what? I'm not even worried about it-I KNOW that I'll have the means to fix it at some point, just like I know that the backtaxes will be paid in full eventually. So I was able to totally put it (and the backtaxes) out of my mind since I've done all I can about it. Smile

Peace and Light,
Julia

Hi Julia!

Can't really say because i find myselg getting in those situations too but I can tell you how your words read to me.

To me your words read like you live in a beautiful house overlooking the lake. It also sounds like you enjoy being there if it were't for the physical things you need to do to the house. So my feeling is that should carry on as the environment is obviously one you enjoy. And you're already making more money so whose to say your house will never be the way you want it.
