I am listing things that don't sound like great things to happen, with the aim of them being transformed into positive events - at least in my mind - and/or a way of looking for the good. Even if I don't yet see the benefits. (I give this explanation because I am not complaining - complaining leads to more things to complain about and that is the road to misery - note to self)
1. My father died on 12th December. I missed him today and thought of his good qualities. 2. My fiance appears to have sabotaged his visa to come here - maybe it isn't meant to be for some reason that will emerge later or it is a test for him so he can mature before we decide to tie the knot. 3. A worker from another agency said she didn't like my tone of voice in my dealings with that agency. An opportunity for me to look at how I am dealing with others and/or for them to look at their own procedures. 4. I am trying out a new cafe near my own office. For years I have had an account with one and become friends with the owners. They have been forced out so I have set up something with a cafe across the road. The service is variable and they don't do a monthy invoice but require cash to be left there upfront. Either it means this isn't the right cafe for me and/or it is an opportunity to get to know some other cafe owners, or I will meet someone else there for a reason or develop some patience (which I am a bit short on lately). 5. A therapy client cancelled this evening, which means less money for me, but is a great blessing because I am grieving and need to take it gently. Well, let's see how these things manifest. cheers Pauline underpromise & overdeliver |

2. I am doing an extra shift today which means more money.....yay! 3. I registered for the special Prema Diksha transmission of healing energy - which will happen on 28th. 4. I am sitting here thinking about all the money in my bank account right now and that makes me happy. 5. My dear friend Nuset is coming on shift at 1300 (in 1.5 hrs) and I always enjoy her company. pauline underpromise & overdeliver |

1] realized that i wouldnt take action by keeping things to myself, rather than participating in a forum.
2] sat on the street side and watched my thoughts. 3] realized that by doing these exercises i am actually developing patience. 4] realized that all of this is spiritual WORK. 5] got my Internet connection issue fixed at home, and thereby can browse. 6] need to get another laptop, since sister is unwilling to share her laptop. new goal for a new year. i pray for access to the laptop at home, until office starts, Jan 4rth. else.... i would still be grateful since i would get the time to read my books by WW. 7]i repeat 20 times a day. [i dare to succeed] [success is a journey], In a day when you don’t come across any problems ,you can be sure that you are traveling in a wrong path - Swami Vivekananda |

1. I went horseback riding for the first time in my life. I finally made this dream come true. I loved it and I am going again. 2. I attended the Rose Parade and got to see all the incredible floats up close before the start of the parade. 3. I was the butt of someone's joke and I have to admit that it was extremely funny. 4. I got to see the Broadway version of Mary Poppins. Loved it! 5. My dog completely healed when I thought she was on her deathbed. She's 14 years old and singing again. 6. The first rehearsals for the next show were lots of fun and went smoothly. 7. Played a real fun game with some awesome friends. Appreciation from the Heart, Richard De Haven |

I experienced the UK's heaviest snowfall in about 30 years. It looked beautiful - we have a foot of the stuff in our garden.
It gave me a chance to practise gratitude for things I take for granted. Central heating. Deep freezer (because we can't get to the shops). Electricity. Piped water. The internet. Television. I had my husband at home all day. The silence outside was wonderful - no cars! I still managed to get a proposal out to a potential new client thanks to the Internet. I went for a walk in the snow and saw the biggest snowman I've ever seen. People were so NICE to each other. My youngest son managed to get home by train very easily against the odds. Altogether a great day! Wishing more to all and less to none Cal - going global |

1. I went to the gym this morning and bench pressed 60 pounds more than I was able to last July!
2. We spoke to both our Daughter, Son and thier families by phone this morning! 3. I deep pruned 10 more Rose bushes today. We have over 150 and I prune them all every January! 4. I set more rocks in our dry stream bed that goes around our pool/spa and under our bridge to nowhere! 5. My wife and I are about to put our swimming suits on and relax in our backyard spa! Be good to yourself, live life passionately and always, always expect success!! I don't know how long I will live, but I'll live until I die!! Tom Strong |

1. Today our team auditioned over 100 people for the Wizard of Oz.
2. Tried a new restaurant instead of the same old stuff. 3. Had a great turn out of Volunteers. 4. Found out why a friend had been angry with me. 5. I am about 60 percent being completely organized with everything around me. So organized that I can find things in seconds. This is something that I have been slowly working on for the past month. |

1. I had the first session with my second executive for coaching at $500 per session! That means I currently earn $1000 for 2 hrs work a week. My aim is to have 5 a week on a regular basis and spend the rest of my time doing woodwork and swimming.
2. I gave away more stuff - in the ongoing task of clearing my flat and therefore my life which will make room for my desires to be fulfilled. 3. I spent a long time on the phone with someone who rang our telephone counselling service in a desperate state - and she felt a lot better and thanked me. 4. I missed out on extra shifts this weekend which means I can go sailing and then for dinner with friends. 5. There is a beautiful storm brewing outside this evening after a long hot day. underpromise & overdeliver |

This is one of my favourite threads - thank you Richard!
1. A casual at work asked if there was any paid job I knew of or could do for me as she is a bit desperate - I really need help with clearing my storeroom near my own office and she was happy to do that. It will be a great help to me and to her. I love these things that benefit both people. 2. I have my shopfitting class tonight - back for 2nd year and very exciting. We are going to make shop fronts, kitchens and a cabinet to take home. 3. I wrote and sent an email I was dreading to my solicitor - I wrote it much more quickly than I imagined I would and am happy that it is succinct and unemotional. 4. As I drove to work the air was so clear that I could see the mountain range at the back of Sydney. So beautiful and often obscured with clouds or smog or both. 5. Had a long talk with my mum who is so very supportive with my current difficulties. She said everyone is thinking of me, lighting candles and putting up affirmations. How sweet. Today I am grateful for:
1. 700 pounds of flagstone that we bought a couple of days ago! 2. 4 flats of chamomile that we bought a couple of days ago! 3. 4. bags of planting mix that we bought a couple of days ago! 4. The strength to tear out a concrete walkway with sledge hammer and pick ax. 5. The beauty of a flagstone walkway with chamomile between the stones going from our patio to our pool. By my thoughts I created what I wanted, by my actions I recieved what I wanted. Be good to yourself, live life passionately and always, always expect success!! I don't know how long I will live, but I'll live until I die!! Tom Strong |
