Well in the sense that most people relate to it.

I'm wondering whether sogr can be applied to things like poker and blackjack. Both of these games I would consider to be games of skill rather than chance.

I noticed on another thread someone talking about applying the rules and then winning on a slot machine. However, when I first read SOGR, I though that I should stop playing poker (something I enjoy and have had varying degrees of success at mainly dependant on my mental state at the time) as if I won it meant someone would lose and that is not in the spirit of abundance for all.

However, if it is true that I can control my destiny and I want to win a poker game and visualise myself receiving the prize money, then surely it does apply.

I'm not sure, but I wondered if anyone else had any thoughts or experiences here?

Cool

If it does apply ... then surely ALL of it has to apply, as all the scientific laws must be totally consistent with each other ...

So ... is it "competitive" or "creative"? ... how does it provide a use value greater than the cash value that you take? ... how do you reconcile with (using your own words) "if I won it meant someone would lose and that is not in the spirit of abundance for all."

No answers, I'm afraid ... but lots of questions?

All the best, Steve

Hello MW,

I remember that we've had a nice Newsletter from Rebeka about what people would do with a Milion Dollar, if they'll get it instantly.
I also remember, and I belive it's true, that she said we shouldn't looking forward to get money to buy something, but we should apply the techiques that Mr. Wallace teaches us to atract this "something". The money for it will come if we do it right. It is not necessary to visualise your self getting this money. Visualise the first best "something" on your "Wish list". The money for it will come.

If you're good in Poker and have fun playing it, just consider your poker scills as a gift been given to you.

It sure does have a purpouse in your life, so enjoy playing it.

And yes, I did have such an expirience, it was a small winn in a 4 parlay on European soccer. I just wanted to have 3 of 4 right and I visualised which one will "fail". I even vizualised the outcome of this matches and I was right.

But this "good filling" didn't last long, maybe a day or two. And I guess this good feeleing I've had was only a satisfaction and a proof of my knowledge in Soccer. Nothing more.

Best regards,

Malletzky

Yes, more questions this subject does pose... First you might ask yourself "why" you want to win at poker. What feeling do you think you will get from winning? If you want to win because you need the money, you are acting out of fear, lack or the competitive mind. If you want to win because you feel a certain satisfaction in mastering the subtleties of the game and for your own personal growth, you are on track. Doesn't every poker player know that there are two possibilites--one is to win and the other is to lose (depending upon the game you are playing there could be varying degrees of winning and losing)? The other players are aware of this so they come to the table with full knowledge of what might happen. If the other players are in a position in which losing at poker would cause them undue stress due to a "lack" mindset or a "do or die" situation financially, it is certainly not your fault if you win and they are left in a bind. If you enjoy poker for its skill and personal challenge, why can't you continue to play? If your reason for wanting to win is to feel superior or above the other players, then you are on the competitive plane which as we all know spells trouble. I don't see why you can't still give the impression of increse to all at the table. Make it about being your own personal best and enjoying the process of playing the game and interacting with your fellow players. The other players can still be "winners" if you show them something of certain way in your actions and attitude. It's just a game to be enjoyed--somebody gets to win, if you are the best player you can be, and this means in skill and attitude, I think you will win whether is money or knowledge. We are all winners. Have some fun!
