Anyone working on a dream?

Well, I'm producing my next show, The Wizard of Oz. I'm half way to raising all the funds I need and only two and a half months to go. I truly don't know where it's all coming from but I am committed.

I am being very disciplined with keeping to my cmi with faith and purpose. I do wander into that wicked territory of fear (damn the wicked witch of the west)but I do quickly remember the magic in the silver slippers (Red was not the original color from the book).

There is nothing for the Wizard to give me because I already have it all. How wonderful is that! Here's to prosperity!

Appreciation from the Heart,

Richard De Haven

Have fun with it, Richard!

You might try this:

GLINDA
(laughs)
Oh, rubbish! You have no power here. Be gone, before somebody drops a house on you, too.

Hey, it worked for Glinda the Good Witch when the Wicked Witch of the West was threatening her! Big Grin (Notice that she was LAUGHING when she said it.)

And btw, YOU are the Wizard!

Love & blessings, and, of course--
EXPECT Success!

How wonderful Richard. I am sure the rest of the money is already speeding towards you. Isn't it great when you don't have to worry about the details of how?

It reminds me of Kung Fu Panda and the secret scroll - which turns out to be a mirror - because there is no secret, the secret is you.

much good wishes
Pauline

I love this quote. I'll have to start laughing when the evil threats of the witch begin to show up.

I really love the idea of being the Wizard. He didn't have any magical powers in the physical sense. But he did understand that all of our magic comes from within.

The Wizard helps the other characters in the story not by giving them what they thought they lacked but by helping them change their beliefs about what they possess within. He helps them to see that they always had the magic.

Ooooohhhh! Ahhhhh! I love this to. It's the most perfect secret.

Today I raised another $10,000 from an extremely wealthy man. A man I have been wanting to speak to for a long time but had no way of contacting him.

A person who gave us a $25,000 grant gave me this man's personal cell phone number and told me to call him and use his name as a reference. This man gave us $10,000 because of the reference without needing any information. Just at the mere mention of his name and the fact that he gave us $25,000.

I got this phone number after I asked our donor if he was willing to introduce me to this person.

What is interesting from my part is that the richer someone is the more my heart pounds. We have received most of our funding from foundations, small donors, and ticket sales.

This year I set a CMI to meet the wealthiest people in the Palm Springs area. It's working.

I've also just met another couple who just donated 5 million to a local charity to help with their programs and building. They have said they will help us but have not committed to a number yet. They will in the next few weeks.

There is another wealthy woman who I want to meet. She gives away about 10 to 15 million a year privately. The good thing is the above 3 people I've mentioned are all good friends of hers. I have feeling that I will finally get to meet her. She is almost a billionaire.

What's interesting is that I don't have to do big presentations with them like I do with foundations. It all happens quickly over the phone in 5 minutes. They give because people they know have given and trust their friends.

It's exciting and at the same time it awakens some of my old beliefs. Fortunately they are not stopping me.

When I first wrote this I was close to $35,000

Today I am at about $53,000. $22,000 more to go to reach the goal. All the money has been coming from private donors and one foundation.

Hi Richard

That's great news!

I am reminded of other fund raising activities that I have been involved with in the past! All I can say is "Thank Good for the last moment, for with out it nothing would ever get done"!

Sleep soundly knowing that the funds are on their way to you!

Thank you so much Richard for being such a wonderful example... What you said above really encouraged me today because it reminds me that even though fears, doubts, and old beliefs flash in front of me daily, I can just let them flash on by and they don't have to stop me from my faith in my CMI. I'm so happy for you... I've worked with children doing drama in the past and really enjoyed it.

Many Blessings to You,
Devra

I am sitting here, well actually jumping up and down. I had a Donor just hand me a check for $30,000. The grand total so far is $83,000. Far pass the $75,000 that we needed. It will definitely grow.

I have now reset my goal for $100,000.

We still have not sold out the shows so there's at least another $10,000. That doesn't include any other sponsors that we will get.

I am excited because the extra money will now allow us to do a summer program in puppetry for the kids.

The person who gave us this money is a family who has participated with us for a few years. They gave it to us because they have been so impressed with our programs and integrity that their children have grown so much. I had no idea that they had this kind of money.

It truly is a great lesson in what happens when you more than fill your present place.

I hope this story inspires you to dream a bigger dream or a bigger CMI.

Oh my gosh Richard! If you don't inspire every single person who reads this or you come in contact with, by your actions/results, I don't know what else can! Boy oh boy have you got me jumping up and down! Woo-hoo! I've just expanded my dream and my CMI to a way bigger one! Big Grin

Congratulations and big hugs,
LauraK
