Hi guys,

The Prodigal son returns, I've been away for a few years working on various projects, but I'm back and want to share an insight that I got in relation to The Law of Attraction (LOA).

You’ve probably seen the film, “The Secret”, (or read the book), it’s all very interesting stuff.

You may have thought that all you have to do is think, feel and behave as though you were already in possession of the desired result and you would get it (sounds like SOGR!), but it doesn’t seem to be so easy to do in practice, why?

Firstly, it’s important to understand that underlying the LOA is that our essential nature is one of abundance, so in reality whatever we truly want is easily attainable.

Secondly, there’s nothing wrong with wanting more for yourself so that you can have it be an expression of your abundance.

So why isn’t it all coming easily?

Well… the reason is that each of us, as a mind (ego), are an accumulation of everything we’ve experienced in the past and a great deal of work has gone into creating this STORY. So it makes sense that it’s not easy to change a well-worn story for one that’s not so well known. But it can be done with perseverance it seems. The question is, do we really know what we’re signing up for by going through all this work?

To answer this, think of your story as a ship, let’s call it a container ship, it’s a big ship, a lot of work has gone into it and everyday you sail along at full speed. Then one day you decide that you now want to be the QE2 (a ship of luxury!).

Is it possible? Sure it is, it means going back to the docks and years of planning and work to rebuild. Then after years of hard work the new ship is finished and you are a fine ship, but what’s really changed? On the surface, it seems a lot has changed, you are now a world-renowned ship that all other ships look up to, but underneath it, you’re still a ship that will one day rust away and disintegrate, like every other ship.

What have you gained with all this effort and struggle? Not much, while you were doing this work changing what’s seen on top of the water, you hadn’t realised that your true nature was the ocean the whole time and that never changed!

Rather than struggle trying to get a nicer looking ship, why not be the ocean (peaceful, deep and serene) and let the your ship keep sailing by?

By doing this you don’t struggle and you become one with what is. This then enables you to attract a ship that reflects YOU and it happens as a natural progression of aligning and being, rather than struggle and doing.

What do you think about this analogy?

My mentor/coach (Who introduced me to SOGR) explained that we have a tendency to be martyrs.

That is that we take a kind of pride in the suffering and struggles that brought us our rewards, that we overcame the obstacles in our path. Or in otherwords we make life difficult for ourselves.

By being matyrs we actually lack gratitude for our opportunities and blessings as we seek to "Take the credit" rather thank thank God/formless.

Also because we expect that we have to struggle to succeed, guess what, that is what we get!!

SOGR is about "working with the Father" - which is omnipotency. With that power in our lives how can it be a struggle?

I like this analogy very much! I actually had a conversation with a fellow SOGRer yesterday and said: "I didn't think it would be so hard!"

Then - I went out and performed and afterwards listened to the recording, and I realized (before reading your analogy) that as long as I accept who I am, and keep doing what I am doing, that it doesn't have to be a struggle!

I just have to keep doing it! And keep steering my ship in the direction I want to go. I've already attracted other ships totally different from any others I've encountered on my journey, and more in line with my vision - yet I can see very clearly how they are also a reflection of my past story!

The idea of being the ocean fits - in a way. Though ultimately, I like Abraham Hicks' analogy of paddling upstream and dropping the paddles and letting the stream carry you. (Much the same as being the ocean!)

The trick of course - when living with either analogy, is (with the ocean) not to think you have to jump on every ship that passes by, and (with the stream) not to keep trying to grab onto overhanging branches or boats being paddled furiously upstream!

Then there's also the matter of getting tangled in water weeds...

My understanding is:
to work with Divine Infinite Intelligence (Mother/Father/Divine/God),

to be open and receptive to receiving All Good!

(up til now, "some" people instead of focusing on their CMI, out of fear/negativity, they focused on the lack of it, blocking themselves the manifestation of their core desires for prosperity, happiness, joy!)

I liked your analogy, and ME's response gave me something to think about.

ME, you make a good point about going with the stream, it's essentially about not resisting what is. As in what's happening now is neither good nor bad, it's only the mind that makes it so. When we flow with whatever shows up, it means we don't get caught up in the mind labeling things as good or bad and thereby allow for life to flow through us.

This non resistance only happen though, when we are PRESENT in the NOW.

Okay, do you think this is coincidence, or LOA...

My husband and I were going over our finances last night. We were seeing how much money we had left after all our bills, etc. I was thinking in my head as we were calculating, that I wanted $400 left over for groceries, etc.
The grand total was $385.

Then this morning we were getting into our car, and my husband found $15 in the back seat that was dropped without knowing!!

My husband said, "There's your $400!"

What do you guys think?

I saw an interview with Wayne Dyer recently and he was saying that the word "coincidence" is a word taken from mathematics (geometry) to describe two angles that meet together perfectly are said to coincide. We've taken that perfect meeting to now be something that happens by "accident". And of course there are no accidents!

Yep, no such thing as coincidence's. I really loved reading where the meaning of the word came from Angelo, makes perfect sense!

The other day I thought about getting a sore throat and thought in my head "I have a sore throat",(I didn't have one at that time, just a tingle) two day later, I woke up with one! I thanked the universe for sending me what I asked for though!

I've found myself struggling at times with LOA. But the moment I've let go, things have immediately turned around. I was struggling to find a new place to live, I felt stressed and pressured to 'get out there and force things along.' All the places I kept looked at were horrible! In frustration I wrote out a list of my next place needed to have and left it at that. Well within a few hours of writing that list I got an email from someone who had seen my ad looking for a place, describing the room she has for rent, and guess what, perfectly fits my list and has a few extras included in it I didn't have on my list!

I read somewhere else about being like a lake or an ocean. Sometimes the surface can be all churned up with storms, but under the surface, down in the depths, is always calm and peaceful!

Why did it happen even though I didn't visualize it or anything? (Maybe I shouldn't question why, but I'm just curious...Do you think I had a CMI and wasn't aware???)

IMHO, no, you don't have to question why. After I started SOGR and my vibrations were up, every time I turned around it seemed I was saving money on something. Wal-Mart refund after being told I couldn't refund the product by one Customer Service person, the newer one asked her supervisor and yep, I got it. I went in to buy a King James version of the Bible at a religious store and was the clerk ever startled when the price came up on the register scanner lower from what the label said. Several other little stories too. I just was awed at how the gifts were coming to me without me asking. I never asked why, just was awed and totally grateful and gave thanks.

I've found that there is a lot of stuff that happens without our conscious participation in it.
This is why the more awareness you can have of your thoughts the better equiped you become at having your mind be the servant for YOU.

That's a GOOD QUESTION. I am going through a very strange period where it appears as though all my income has "dried up". I am taking action to better put myself in a position to RECEIVE, started a new job on straight commission which has great potential to make good $$ (no regular jobs in my area right now) but I will tell you that I'm very frightened, despite doing EFT and talking to people in my support group. I have many many moments when I feel great, and do everything I can to nurture that, and then the fear takes over,(like right now) and I have to acknowledge it and then snap myself out of it to keep going.

Sorry if I seem down-but I've always gotten such wonderful support in these forums, and needed to share.

Hi Ancam

The analogy seems deep, but letting go happens for us when we are ready. Rust is steel returning to its trus nature.
The Law of attraction dosent do any thing for us, it is a Law, it will act on thought energy in the same way every time, just as the law of gravity acts on mass. We have the ability to send out the thought energy that will return a desired result, if we dont guide this energy that we generate continuosly any way, we loose our ability to guide our own destiny. Is this struggle or enlightened action?

Hi Julia

You are in the right place and time. A commission only puts you in direct contact with an abundance of income. Just remember what you have told me in the past. Be grateful, give more in use value than you take, maintain your faith, regardless of appearances, keep your CMI front of mind, and do every action with the thought it is moving you toward your CMI. Just draw on your incredible energy, that we see every time you post and give such great support to us.

I see you're a fellow Melbournian! I'm in the Yarra Valley, you?

The way I see it is that by bringing more consciousness to everyday life, we're then in a position to be in alignment with the whole and from allow whatever shows up to be fine, no struggle at all.
