I finally got watch the Bob Newhart and Mad T.V. video at the Update. I laughed so hard. It's made a difference for me.

It works. Ever since watchin it I've been telling myself stop it! STop it! Stop it!!!

You know it really does work for me. The I have fun with myself when I try to go into my story and I've been saying "we don't go there." I did add the statement at the end "it's not true" "Just stop it!"

If you havn't tried it, then try it!

Appreciation from the Heart,

Richard De Haven

The video is hilarious and true! I'm currently doing A Course in Miracles and my teacher Lisa Natoli from Gorgeous for God also had it on her blog.

She said for years she struggled with an addiction of nicotine and alcohol. She kept praying and asking to be rid of her addiction until she was in a teachers place where smoking and drinking was not allowed. And she stopped. Just because somebody said stop it. She said that was a miracle for her.

Hi Rebecca,

Thanks for the Bob Newhart skit. I think I have seen it before, but it is just as hilarious now as it was the first time.

I had to send it around to a few friends.

I agree with Rebecca,

You must have fun with it. As with anything, you must make it fun and enjoyable or you'll meet with a lot of reistance.

What makes it fun for me is that I know that when I'm telling myself to stop it, that it's just a reminder that what I'm fretting about is not true. In other words, the story I am creating is not the truth of who I am.

I actually would NOT recommend using this "technique" unless you are LAUGHING as you do it. Wink Otherwise it'll just make things worse. (More resistance.)

But laughing is always good!

Hi.
Just finished LL2, Wow! was that an eye opener, helped me understand Mr Wattles book more.

''Up 'til now'' I never know, I had so many negative seeds in my thoughts that would hold me back. This is going to take ongoing work.

Then I watched the video that Rebecca sent in the
Aug between-Issues update, this made me laugh made me smile from inside to out. Big Grin

So I downloaded it to my Mp3 and I'm going to use this. So whenever any old negative feeling popup I'll just yell Stop It!So if you have not watched the video yet
I advise you to do so now.

Until next time. Wink

It takes considerable thought, for one to reach
ones full potential. Mazo xx

My son and I have had the same response, Richard! We have found ourselves laughing to the point of tears everytime we start to "go there", then remember to "stop it". Don't want to be buried alive in a box, after all! Big Grin Eek Wink

Yes I liked the video too! Smile Someimes the easiest things to do in life are the things we take for granted!(Or in this case, achievable in the time it takes to say "Stop it!"

Hi Richard,
I thought that video was HILARIOUS! I do what you said too. I also love the line from Moonstruck with Cher when she slaps some guy and says "Snap out of it!" LOL! I tell myself that too. And the other day, some dude was coming out of the post office wearing an orange t-shirt and guess was written on the back in bold black letters? Yup, "Snap out of it!"

Abraham-Hicks talks about pivoting, in other words, paying attention to when you're not feeling good which is telling you that your thinking is off, and that therefore you're attracting what you do not want, and then changing your thinking so that you do feel good and attract what you do want. It really works beautifully for me. I've been sharing this with friends who have been feeling "stuck", and it has helped them a lot.

Nice to see you again! Big Grin
Love and Light,
Julia
