As a follow up to my Dec 4 2011 post; I was looking at my stocks. This is after I had OPENED MY MIND to something other than stocks and Pharmacy to reach my goals. I finally understood that up to now I was scared of anything new other than those 2 things I am good at. I saw a stock BAC go to a ridiculously low price and cashed in most other stocks to put a big chunk into BAC (especially after Warren Buffet just bought $5billion into BAC). I placed the order with my broker and he got back saying the system was being wacky and he couldn't tell if he had overbought so to be on the safe side, he was going to let all transactions settle (takes 3-5 days) before proceeding. This was very unusual. I went home and did the calculations and I still had $130,000 to buy the BAC with. Was this a clear sign. I took it as one, but why? Then I remembered that 2 days before that I had read an article on a stock CLL that was at an all time low. All I know about this stock is that 3 years ago I put $10,000 into a stock called OIL and lost $5,000. But at that time there was a LOT of talk about a company named CLL. Weird coincidence? I felt compelled to put the $130,000 into CLL because I just knew it was a message. I bought it at $0.32 , and in 2 months it had gone up to almost $1.00 !! Currently it is at $0.76 and talks of takeovers of the company are everywhere. And the weirdest thing is that this is my biggest stock gain ever !! And it just seemed to happen out of nowhere, when I stopped focusing on stocks as being my only way to get rich. I was actually deep into study of marketing my Pharmacy expertise on the internet. And this stock comes out of nowhere and I had a compelling need to buy it. My stock portfolio value is higher than it has ever been!! Please believe and please be patient. This was my first true sign (monetarily anyway) and it took almost 1 full year to manifest. But for some reason, over those 365 days, I always looked at every setback or status quo, as being a rubber band being pulled farther and farther back, and once the stress and tension on that rubber band was at it's highest point, the rubber band sprung forward, farther than I had imagined. Just like the book says, there may be things happening behind the scenes that you cannot see !!

First of all great story. It's a great feeling when things prosper us.

I do have a comment and question for you. This not meant to negate your success. They should be celebrated.

You said in your headline "Wow-It Works-Finally Seeing Results!!!

There is an inherent risk in this statement. Let me explain.

The results we see in our life is determined by the beliefs we hold to be true. What you think first is what you will see.

Many believe that what we see first determines what we think. You see an external source succeeding and prospering you therefore you think better. When things go south we tend to think the worse. So it seems that the external world determines what we think.

It's truly the opposite. If success is happening all around us it's because our thinking is focused on feeling good and our thoughts were prosperous thoughts. It's really that simple.

What we think determines what we see and experience. The external is not the source of what we feel and think.

I bring this to your attention because the stock market goes up and down all the time.

What will happen to your thinking and feelings if what you bought lost value at some point? How will your feel and react?

My Aunt and Uncle invest in the stock market all the time and are good at it. In fact they last 3 million during the internet bust (almost their entire portfolio) but they kept moving forward celebrating all the good in their life. They are now at about 1 million.

They are still prosperous in so many ways. They don't even work. Both are retired. Not once did they go into a funk about their loss. They never talked about it with anyone. They always spoke of the good in their life.

Just realized they practiced SOGR.

Yes, there is always a lot going on behind the scenes that we don't see but what is going on is a direct result of your thinking and feelings.

If you stay true to practicing SOGR you will be succeeding in so many ways. Nothing is ever a set back just a lesson in thinking.
