Lately, every time I begin manifesting toward my CMI, just as things are starting to move toward the goal, they just kind of stop and fade away. The forward progress virtually disappears. I am not sure why. On thinking as I am writing this, this seems to have been a cycle that has been ongoing most of my life.

I have noticed the same thing with me. I get opportunities that would totally blow away my goals, dreams, and expectations. The kind of opportunity that would make you say that is what I am talking about. Then as fast as they come poof they are gone. I started thinking about the process and realized I got too emotionally attached to the outcome which makes me drop into the competitive plane. I’ll try to explain what I mean. This gentleman came in who was looking to buy a car and needed insurance. We are talking and he says he owns a company that buys houses and fix’s them up and sells them or rents them out. He says his company has 43,000 rental properties nationwide. He is upset with his current carrier and says he would consider letting me quote them. He is pressed for time so we make an appointment for Saturday morning and he says he will get me access to their website and I can access information on all the properties and quote them. I am excited this is exactly what I am looking for. With that many rental properties I would have to write 13 policies a day 5 days a week 52 weeks a year. Well he doesn’t show up and I am disappointed. I think about how many times this has happened to me over the past year or 2 and it has to be at least 10 times. I think I am getting opportunities so I am manifesting that some there is some glitch after the opportunity. So I start thinking about what I am doing after the opportunity comes up and I start thinking how I am feeling and aha. The opportunities come up and then I go into this is exactly what I wanted it is my CMI. I didn’t know how or where it was going to happen but this is it. Part of my CMI was to write or have a 2.5 million book by the end of this year. With just 2 of the opportunities adding up the numbers almost exactly my book would be 2.5 million and some even more so I know it’s my CMI. I get the feelings I need this, this is exactly what I wanted and I get too attached to the outcome. At this point I drop out of the creative mind and into the competitive mind. By my thinking I need this I have to have this, my focus switches to lack. I really realized I am not relaxed at all I am tense about the outcome and that is my indicator that I dropped to the competitive mind. At this point or shortly there after the opportunity is gone. I have realized this just this week. So how do I plan on getting over this? I have to be grateful that I am getting the opportunities at all, and even just based on the odds one of these deals has to work. When opportunities arise I will be grateful and I will have faith and believe that it will happen. I will relax and if I am not relaxed then I know I have dropped out of the creative mind. If I feel this is where my income is or has to come from stop and relax. Maybe you will find some similar feelings or situations. Bill www.sellinsuranceathome.com |

Hey John,
I always see Wally's instructions as paradoxical. And your situation, I believe is a matter of perspective, and makes it paradoxical. Where you stand makes all the difference to how you see it. I loved it when Jesus said that the Kingdom of God is coming, and the Kingdom of God is also already here. Putting it in SOGR terms, the good things are coming to you, and they are also here. It is a paradox, because in our limited thinking, how is it possible that good things I desire are here, when they are coming towards me??  So, here is one way of looking at it. When we see results going away from us, it could be that we have raised our own expectations in our initial success, but we did not strengthen our belief and faith to rise up to our loftier standards. We are grasping at straws. Or we could be moving away from our results because we notice what's not right and creating those results. You are also right, because if you think you are right, then your are right. It's a matter of perspective. Tom,Dave and Being Now, in my opinion, made this point more directly than me. Hi John,
One of the first a-Ha moments for me occured shortly after beginning the course, I realised that I was already rich!! My wife and I had a beautiful home, we drove nice cars and took trips somewhere in the world every year. And yet I thought that we were poor! After realising that we were rich and being greatiful for everything that we had and for everything that was coming to us we began recieving more riches. If you take a look at your life situation you may find that you are already rich also! You may find that being greatful for what you already have more will be coming to you! Be good to yourself, live life passionately and always, always expect success!! I don't know how long I will live, but I'll live until I die!! Tom Strong |

Hello John. Here are a couple of thoughts. You may not be "expecting it" consciously but Being Now has a good point. I also thought you were "focusing on it" (my interpretation). The LoA says that we attract what we focus on and think about with feeling and emotion.
If I am living in the Certain Way and grateful for everything which shows up in my life then I am making progress and moving towards my CMI. As I focus on them, they are moving towards me. Also, think about Rebecca's "course correction" analogy and making adjustments based on how we feel (as in how we feel always tells us where our thoughts are). Using this analogy, you are moving towards your CMI. I am full of quotes today - "things aren't going wrong, they are just going". Finally, is it possible you are "digging up the seed to check on its progress"? I think you are making great progress as I read your posts, comments and questions. It might come down to faith and belief. We have faith and belief in you! Perhaps you are questioning it on your own though. Hi the coach
I can identify with this. Sometime goals get caried through some other time only part of the way, and some time not at all. I am not able to put mind hand on it what makes a one time succeed and the next time not. Perhaps it is better that way openning the door for something bigger larger more in tune with our needs?
