Lets us discuss what the will exactly is from the dictionary meaning it is.The mental faculty by which one deliberately chooses or decides upon a course of action
and Diligent purposefulness; determination, Self-control; self-discipline
A desire, purpose, or determination
Deliberate intention or wish
Alot of this could mean what wally mean when he uses the will word. And i think it is important to know the word in which we use. What do you think wally means by the use of will.

What do YOU think he means? Wink

That's all that really matters here as there is no way to ask Wally.

I think you need to go back and read Chapter 9 - How To Use The Will, and Chapter 10 - Further Use Of The Will

After you do, come back and ask specific questions about anything you aren't sure of in the chapters.

The will is what you use in step 2.

The decision-making function is what you use in step 1.

Oh, maybe there are other steps before that, like taking in information.

Use the will ONLY upon yourself -- not upon others.

My interpretation and perception of the word 'Will' is the freedom to make our choices without interference from within or without.

I believe Wally is telling us to use our 'own' influences to make our choices and to 'act' accordingly, not to allow outside influences make our decisions for us.

Love this discussion, and my choice to answer YOUR question is my 'Will'.

For me, will and intention are very closely related.
I think also that will is a decision that it simply IS going to be however your will has directed whatever "it" is to be.
I also think that for the will to function properly you have to believe that what you want CAN be...no..more than that...for myself I have to KNOW that there is no good reason a situation can not be.
I fixed my computers network router this way.
I simply decided there was no good reason i couldn't have internet and that everything is working and that is that. I then let it go...detached, and ..
it worked fine after that.
I do it with lot's of little things too. But the computer was probably the first time I just said to myself that I am going to use my will to make this happen and it WILL happen.

One defitition is the ability to choose.

I would go alittle further and suggest it is the ability to choose our thoughts.
