The Only Time Is NOW The only time we can create is NOW. Is there any other time? If there is, please let me know. I’d love to be corrected. Let’s say you agree with me. You agree that the only time we can create is NOW. Then the question I have is: How do we create? I think we create primarily by how we are BEING. What do I mean? I mean, if we are being peaceful, relaxed, happy, thankful, kind, helpful, appreciative, constructive, loving (towards ourselves as well as others), then what we are creating (or perpetuating, manifesting, attracting, maintaining, causing the increase of) is any and everything that is harmonious to these states. And if we are being angry, lost, insecure, afraid, anxious, lonely, disappointed, bored, despondent, unsure, irritated, or any unwanted state or feeling, then we are creating (causing the increase of, feeding, fueling, etc.) any and everything that is harmonious to these states. If being creates, the question you might want to answer is: How do we create a truly wonderful, lovely and awesome life out of how we are BE-ing? It’s simple. BE wonderful, joyful, delightful, powerful, loving. Be relaxed, at ease, powerful, peaceful, confident, and self assured. Be happy, positively expectant and constructive. Think of tomorrow. How are you going to live it? You’re going to live it one way or another. In fact, think of right NOW. How are you going to live it? What are you going to make of NOW? What are you CREATING --- NOW? Regarding tomorrow, it can help if you think of how you’re going to live – how you are going to BE -- tomorrow. It will help it be better if you picture it better. But NOW is the only time you can create. Even if you’re using your NOW to contemplate a better future, you can only do this NOW. How Did They Do It? How did Henry Ford create an automobile empire? Do you think he scrimped and saved the excess from his paychecks until he had enough to build the manufacturing plants and hire and pay the thousands of workers and suppliers he needed? I don’t think so. Henry Ford got the money he needed by getting the right IDEAS. The right ideas created a working automobile. The right ideas created a means to mass produce it. The right ideas attracted or manifested the money he needed. The right ideas got him the help and support he needed. In fact, the right ideas gave him the courage and inspiration to keep himself persistent, until he finally created what he wanted to create. Are you short of money? Well, to me, this just means you haven’t yet gotten the right IDEAS. The right ideas will somehow generate the money you want. It seems to me that a money shortage is just a reflection of a shortage of the right ideas. Want better connections? Do you think you’d do better if you were more connected? The right ideas will create those connections. Want better friends or relationships? The right ideas will also create those. The right ideas will inspire you. The right ideas will give you courage. The right ideas will make you persistent. The right ideas will draw to you the resources and help you need. The right ideas will empower you. The right ideas will open up opportunities. The right ideas will have you developing your potential and experiencing joy, delight, inner peace, personal power and well being. How do you get right ideas? I hear we are, in one way, like the radio or a receiver. We decide what channel we are going to be set to. When we are afraid, anxious or gloomy, we get the ideas that are tuned into with this ‘channel.’ When we are contemplative, open, relaxed, positively expectant, constructive, etc., we tune into another channel and become receptive to a whole different set of ideas. Don’t take my word for it. Just observe yourself in your life. How can you tell which ‘station’ you are tuned into? How can you tell what you’re being RECEPTIVE to? It seems to me, you can tell by how you FEEL. Phil

spot on Phil!! Yes, we create all the time through our being. whenever I am faced with fear, anxiety and nervousness, i stop these feelings by thinking about it. I read somewhere that fear anxiety etc cut our connection with the formless and abundance and when ever I feel these coming on, I remind myself to maintain my connection with abundance by cultivating faith instead.I CONSCIOUSLY tune into the right channel. growing & glowing in Africa and creating abundance for us all. Hi Phil, thanks for another great post. one question: you use the term "right ideas". What's your distinction between that term, versus "right thoughts", or "right thinking"? thanks! /steve

How to get the right ideas? Yes I believe you DO need to tune into the right channels. I also believe you have to learn how to tell the right ideas from the wrong ideas. Learn from the wrong ideas, then dismiss them as definately wrong ideas. Then using the knowledge gained from that experience, carry on and create what you now think the next right idea is, and evaluate it again. Keep aiming at the target. Without wrong ideas, there couldn't be any right ideas. Just as, without darkness, there would be no light. It is all a necessary part of the process. To infinity... and one step beyond, for all!! quote: Steve, When I read your question, at first I thought there was no difference between ‘right thoughts or thinking’ and ‘right ideas.’. But now I think, maybe there is. For example, we can consciously study in order to get many of the right thoughts, or to develop to a good degree the ability to think rightly about many things. But having the right thoughts, or thinking right, may not be, it seems to me, enough to propel a person to great success. It seems to me that the ‘right ideas’ are a kind of different breed. But ‘right ideas’ seem to come ‘out of the blue’ so-to-speak. (Gifts from God or the Universe?) ‘Right ideas’ seem to have originality, or some form of uniqueness, as possibly opposed to ‘right thoughts’ that are maybe more like ‘general truths’. (Maybe they overlap, I think.) Can a person develop the ability to get more of the ‘right ideas’, the ones that will help propel them into the life they desire? I think so. Let me explain. I once read a story about Mozart. In it, the author explained how Mozart said he never really ‘wrote’ any of his music. Instead, the music just ‘came to him’ somehow. And he ‘merely’ wrote down what he heard in his head. The author went on to explain what seems to be a valid idea. Mozart was thoroughly trained as a musician. His father was an accomplished musician, and he made sure Mozart understood not only music theory, but also all of the instruments involved in creating the music of their time. Mozart was taught music theory, and how to write down music, but he was also taught the various ranges and capabilities of all the instruments. He intimately knew how each instrument sounded. He learned not only how each sounded, but how they sounded when the played together, and he learned how to write whatever he heard instruments playing. As the story goes, whenever Mozart needed a piece of music, for whatever project he was working on, he simply ‘thought about’ what was needed, and then, he let it ‘come to him.’ Now, since he was so thoroughly trained, when music did ‘come to him’ he was able to write it down, completely, without hesitation or error. Studies of his original manuscript seems to bear this out. Many of his manuscripts are written with virtually NO CORRECTIONS. In other words, he simply wrote down perfectly, what he was hearing in his head. (Ask many musicians about this, especially with regards to fully orchestrated pieces of music. It’s no small feat.) If you study the lives of many successful people you will find a similarity to what Mozart was able to do, and why. Many of the people who have succeeded – whether it is business, art, music, science, literature, etc. – had previously immersed their selves in the study of the activity they were engaged in. I believe, one of the reasons some people get the ‘right ideas’ is because of this kind of immersion. It seems to me that thorough study heightens ones ability or intuitive grasp of ‘right ideas.’ It seems to me that when a person thoroughly understands something they develop a certain extraordinary capacity or ability. They develop the ability to RECOGNIZE and UTILIZE ‘right ideas’, the ones that make for success. As a student of music, I have also experienced something of this. As I have been engaged in music, I have often ‘heard’ something, or even dreamed pieces of music. But since I am not as thoroughly trained as a Mozart, it is often difficult for me to just write down what I am hearing. But also, I recognize that the more I study music, the better I get at this. The more I study music, the more easily I seem to be able to play or write what I ‘hear’ in my head. In other words, it seems to me that for a person to get ‘right ideas’ and the ability to use them or recognize them, training and study are a significant factor. In other words, the more you study a field, the better you will get at getting ‘right ideas.’ And you will also gain greater confidence because, since you’ve thoroughly studied, you understand how these ideas are applicable and meaningful. They won’t seem to be ‘just’ ideas. For instance, I believe we all ‘get’ many ideas, many of which could be vital, but we don’t do anything with many of them. We don’t utilize them because we aren’t thoroughly trained enough to be able to utilize them. For example, have you ever ‘heard’ a tune in your head, or got an idea for a movie? If so, you may realize that the reason you didn’t do anything with the idea is, you weren’t studied or trained enough to put them to use. For example, if you had studied writing and script writing thoroughly, it would naturally be easier for you to write down some wonderful idea for a movie. It would be easier for you to CAPTURE these ideas. So, it seems to me that a person can get better at getting and IMPLEMENTING the ‘right ideas’ by simply thoroughly studying whatever it is that interests them. It seems to me this is how many ‘breakthroughs’ come. Some doctor, or scientist, inventor or athlete, actor, artist, explorer, investigator, engineer, business person, etc., has so thoroughly studied their vocation that, when some idea ‘comes’ to them, they are able to act on and utilize that idea, and turn it into a successful reality. Now, at this point I want to mention one other thing: The kind of study I am talking about is not necessarily the standard kind of schooling. In fact, many successful people (Bill Gates, Oprah, Joseph Campbell, musicians Chick Corea and Joe Zawinul) quit college and went to gain their expertise in other ways. And also, some never had any ‘normal’ schooling, and learned their trade in unusual or unorthodox ways, eg., the Beatles, Elvis, Tony Robbins, Colonel Sanders, Edgar Casey, Thomas Edison, Jesus, Buddha. But what seems to be a shared distinction of these people is, they somehow learned everything that they possibly could, about what they were doing, and this, it seems to me, was a key to their success. This, it seems to me, is a key to getting an abundance of the ‘right ideas’ and making good use of them. Phil "The Universe is responding to how we feel." Esther Hicks

Wow Phil, This is very interesting. I just finsihed LL14 and one of my desires has always been to design needlwork, and now I would like to add beadwork to it. I feel the designs in my head, but cannot seem to bring them into the real world. One of my goals for this week is to search for some designing advice and software. I love how the universe brings these topics just when they are needed. Thank you Phil, I found alot of useful tips in this second posting. Lots of love, light and abundance to all! Tish

Getting The RIGHT Ideas Here’s a bit more thought on this. There seems to be a correlation between a person’s level of success, health and happiness and their ability to get or grasp the RIGHT ideas. To me, it’s possible – even likely – that we ALL get PLENTY of good or ‘right ideas’ but we’re failing to recognize them. I’ll try to explain my hypothesis. It seems to me that the Universe is always on our side. What do I mean by this? I mean, it seems to me that the Universe is constantly giving us everything we need, to excel, to do better, to have more of the things we want. But we are often inadvertently tossing aside much of this good by not paying close enough attention, or by making snap negative judgments about experiences, events or circumstances. There seem to be many examples that reinforce my contention. I’ll try and give a few. You may have heard the story of the chemist who was attempting to create a new kind of glue. It seems he wanted to create some kind of new glue, like ‘super glue’. As the story goes, what he ended up with was a fairly weak adhesive. His first thought was that his experiments were a failure, but then he thought to himself, “Maybe this is good for something.” Apparently, by choosing the perspective that this might be good for something, he came up with what we now know as ‘post it’ stickers, using this weak glue that was the result of a so-called ‘failed’ experiment. You may have heard how penicillin was discovered. It was the result of a mistake. Apparently, some scientist was working on an experiment, and in the process he neglected to cover or contain one of the samples that was part of it. This sample was mistakenly and inadvertently ‘contaminated’ with a bacteria, and the bacteria killed what was germinating in the sample. Instead of simply tossing out the contaminated sample, the scientist had the wherewithal to look for the constructive possibilities of this. A certain car dealership was faced with slowing sales, especially with their high-end luxury cars. None of their presently known strategies (new forms of advertising, discount offers, etc.) seemed to be working. Someone (with the authority to do so) came up with a completely new idea. He decided to take some of the luxury cars to the people who could afford them, and make it hard for them not to buy. He took several cars to a golf course where he knew rich people played. He and his sales staff managed to talk to several who were driving cars a couple or more years older. They asked them, as a ‘favor to the dealership’ to please drive one of their new cars for a couple of weeks and give their opinion about it, all at the company’s expense, of course. So, these rich folks got to drive brand new cars for a couple of weeks, at no cost to them, except to offer their opinions of the cars. So, what happened? Exactly what the dealer thought would happen. Several of the people were so taken with the new cars that the thought of returning to their ‘old’ cars became disagreeable. Several bought the new cars they had ‘test driven’. What am I alluding to with these stories? When something ‘bad’ seems to be happening, it seems it is wise to look for the good that might be buried or hidden in it. This, it seems, is another way we can get the ‘right idea’ that could propel us forward. Have you had a disagreement or argument with someone? What might be good about this? Have you lost a job, or so-called opportunity? How might this be a blessing in disguise? (Remember the story of Oprah, the journalist, being DEMOTED to Oprah, the talk show host?) Do you have less money than you want? How might you turn this into a blessing? (It was being over 60 and facing a life of living on a meager social security that prodded Colonel Sanders to market his chicken recipe, for an example.) Is your present job less than fulfilling? Were you turned down for a raise? How might this be a good thing? How might you turn this into a good thing? In other words, if you have a problem, you really DO have an opportunity. I imagine you don’t have a shortage of problems. Therefore, you also don’t have a shortage of opportunities. Isn’t this so? In other words, one way to get more ‘right ideas’ is look at some problem you are facing, and mine it for hidden gold. Phil "The Universe is responding to how we feel." Esther Hicks

And don’t forget about ‘working’ the Law Of Attraction. Every morning, when you wake up, take at least a few minutes to imagine and feel what it would be like if you had PLENTY of money, and all the wonderful things you want. Imagine how it is, feeling WONDERFUL about yourself, living your IDEAL kind of lifestyle, enjoying WONDERFUL surroundings, relationships and work and play, and excellent health. Imagine experiencing being really good at whatever you want to do. Imagine feeling wonderful, as even unexpected good things happen in your life. Imagine BEING a wonderful person. Imagine KNOWING wonderful things. Imagine DOING wonderfully, FEELING wonderful as you live the life you want. PRACTICE feeling wonderful. As for the rest of the day: “After you have assumed the feeling of the wish fulfilled, do not close the experience as you would a book, but carry it around like a fragrant odor.” Neville, from Awakened Imagination, p. 76. And, as you do so, “you will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. You will put some things behind, you will pass an invisible boundary; new, universal and more liberal laws will begin to establish themselves around and within you; or the old laws will be expanded, and interpreted in your favor in a more liberal sense, and you will live with the license of a higher order of beings. In proportion as you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will appear less complex, and solitude will not be solitude, nor poverty poverty, nor weakness weakness.” - Henry David Thoreau Phil "The Universe is responding to how we feel." I am bringing up this old thread by Phil as I am really thrilled at the message that resonates so deeply with me. It's so inspirational and wonderfully written The urge of original substance is always in us, wanting for us everything good, and we only have to fully embrace this moment, this time NOW for it is continually flowing towards us, everytime. The story of Mozart is a wonderful example of being ready for whatever your calling is by following the urge of original substance(our true desires) and getting ready by action, practice, visualizing(inspired action), and thereby we get "right ideas" (inspiration)and therfore complete the cycle of inspired thoughts, followed by actions, followed by thoughts...we become one with the universe/GOD/ formless. Our thoughts are us and we are our thoughts...we are being "thought" as much as we are thinking of our thoughts, now that's the certain way for sure, as we are now BEING whatever feels good, and that sure feels good! Thanks Phil! Blessings kevin Blessings Kevin "I think of life itself now as a wonderful play that I've written for myself... and so my purpose is to have the utmost fun playing my part."
