My husband and I watched the Secret last night and discussed what others had said about the Secret. I think he was having trouble understanding that they were saying it was incomplete, not that it was wrong. As I watched it, I was reminded of a lot of things that I've learned in the last few years about abundance and the power of the subconscious. I'm sure I got more out of it by watching it now instead of when it came out in 2006.

Lilako, I enjoyed watching it a few weeks ago.
What I got from it was a checklist. Like some of the things that were shared, I was asking myself, how am I doing that? Are there still thoughts of doubt getting in the way? How can I have more peace and faith in the process? I love Lisa God bless you, Caroline My Gift To You: 50,000 Guaranteed Visitors To Your Site |

I read the book, and Rhonda says at the end, that if there is only one thing we get out of the book, it is to focus on feeling good! As simple as it sounds, we already know that many people just aren't willing to believe that it's the real deal. No gimmicks, no frills, just what works!

I like The Secret, especially the book. I remember also reading different interviews with Rhonda Byrne and being surprised at the many outrageous and crazy things she would do just to feel good. I think there is a lot of be learned there, but I also think that many of us simply don't want to let it be that easy.
I remember when I first started using Apple computers not long ago. Coming from other systems, my mind was used to it being hard and I wanted it to be hard to the point that I literally did not see easy ways that were sitting directly in front of my face. Thinking back to that, now, I wonder how many great opportunities have been sitting in front of my face in real life that I was blind too because I was so focused on hard work and "making it happen" all by myself. _______ Follow your bliss! |

Hey Teruchan, I'd love to hear more. Do you recall any of these crazy things she'd do to feel good? Phil "The Universe is responding to how we feel." Esther Hicks |

Off the top of my head, I remember that she said when she would get a stack of bills, she would pretend that they were checks to her and she would literally jump up and down, scream and laugh saying, "Wow! I have so much money!" She said the neighbors probably thought she was crazy, but she didn't care. In another case, she said she was running out of money to produce her video. They had no idea where the next bit of funding to complete the project might come from. She, then, caught herself thinking only within the confines of the reality before her. She remembered that there was wealth everywhere, all around her in formless. So she took the last money she had in the ATM and began to pass it out to total strangers, just to feel rich and abundant. She told other stories about creating little songs and dances about being rich, and she would sing them and dance anytime she felt down. It seems she didn't worry about what other people thought of her, even if she was dancing around and having fun at work. In fact, one might assume that made it all the more interesting and funny, and so she felt even better. _______ Follow your bliss! |

Thank you Teruchan!
Those are great ideas. Gives me something to think about. Gotta get my creative juices going,... Thanks again, Phil (or Pheel, as one of my friends says.) "The Universe is responding to how we feel." Esther Hicks |

Watching a few shark documentaries on the discovery channel doesn't make one a marine biologist. I would also draw a similar analogy between the Secret and understanding the law of attraction.
Bill Harris did a series of interviews with some of the others in the Secret in which they made it much clearer that taking action is an important part of the process. On the point of feeling good, whenever the mail comes in the morning I like to think to myself "I wonder what exciting goodies the postman has today" whereas there was a time when I would have thought "tut, not another demand for money!" Did you read the last Rondha Byrne book "The Power"? Well, I just gave it a quick diagonal reading at the store. Nothing new, a lot of Neville quotes. I think “The Secret” is much better.

I've only read The Secret and not watched the DVD, would you advise getting the DVD or do you think that the book is good enough on its own?

I see you are new here. Welcome. The best advice I can give you, if you are serious about improving your situation, is to do the PG course. Don't worry about any other books or DVD's until you have done it and GET IT. I did this course many years ago, and it changed my life. Check out my journey in the archives. Abundance to All Croz |
