Hi All

I have noticed that on the post What makes me Happy, people have been posting what makes them happy.

What a great idea! We can come to this thread at anytime and report on what has made us happy.

I will start.

This morning I had a chat with my daughter in the UK and she told me I had been a good Dad, and that made me extremely happy.

I look forward to sharing your happy news and comments.

Lets make this the place to come for good news. I think we all need it.

Thanks, Julia. I AM pretty far east but my most recent experience -- yesterday -- involved amazing butterflies, colorful birds, and even an alligator or two! Big Grin No woodfires in the immediate future (as far as I know!) Wink

And now I get to travel some more today! (I've got some news to send out that I think quite a few forum and course members and Certain Way readers are going to really like, but no time to do it right now even though I don't know where I'm going today (fun!), I'll look for a place with internet! Big Grin

It's not so much that traveling makes me happy, but that when I'm happy, great things like travel show up! Yeah!

Love & blessings, and, of course--

Today's Happy News:
My oldest son just finished hand splitting almost a chord of wood and is delivering it later today. And my youngest son and our foreign exchange student will help us to stack it. What a blessing-both to have the wood, and to have sons who are so helpful. Big Grin

My oldest boy that split the wood celebrates a year of sobriety in a couple of weeks. Big Grin

A young man (17) that I have been helping in dealing with drug addiction just asked me to sponsor him in a 12-step recovery program. He just celebrated 5 weeks off drugs. Big Grin

Enjoying the warmth of the woodstove and the people in chilly but sunny New Hampshire, where it is -5 Celsius,
Julia
PS, Hey Rebecca, if you're heading East, come on in and pull up a chair in front of the fire. Wink

Today's Happy News:
My neighbor just offered me for free more than enough wood to last all winter for the woodstove.

My brother is back from Iraq,(had a BLAST being with him on Thanksgiving)and he has asked me to take care of his car, all major expenses paid, when he goes away to Japan in January. This comes at a perfect time, because my little 1998 turquoise Chevy Metro hatchback (that I lovingly call my Lamborghini) is on its last leg. (Did the One Command the other day when my mechanic gave me the news "I don't know how I replace my car, I only know that I have, and I am fulfilled". Wink

Hi All

Yesterday I learned some very special lessons. I have always said never try and learn off a person who has just read a book. There is no substitute for having been there.

I found myself in a position two days ago that I had NEVER been in before and I let my mind wander and ignored SOGR. It appeared a very desperate situation that I was in.

The following morning both Val and I got up and had EXACTLY the same mindset about the situation. We looked at each other and agreed that we had even after all the years of success fallen into the trap of thinking about SCARECITY.

With our new mindset we looked at each other and laughed out loud.

I thanked the universe for giving me the experience to cope with this situation and being able to put it in my armoury of experiences.

In years to come when I talk to people about similar situations, I will be able to talk from experience, the finest platform available.

I suppose my message is that however far you go with following these teachings, there will always be a time that will test you. So the message is that SOGR principles hold true ALWAYS.

Learning something new , now that makes me happy.

Yesterday I realized that I am probably one of the happiest person in my company even though I am somewhat laid back in terms of income!

Hi All

Excuse me for jumping in and taking post number 200 on this thread. WOW!!!!! Now that makes me happy.

This morning a big light went on in my head about a business situation EUREKA.

I finally listened to myself, I was trying too hard to find an answer and as soon as I backed off and relaxed, PLOP in popped the answer, Better than I was actually looking for.

Now that also makes me happy.

It is nice to see a bit of movement here, but surely there MUST be some more good news.

Good morning everyone!
I so agree with you croz, we all can always use more happy news in our lives.
My happy news is:
My 2 year old colt is almost completely over his recent health/physical challenge and is growing and gaining weight and back to his normal "stallion in training" self. I am so grateful for this and it makes me very HAPPY! Smile

After spending all of this year dealing with dental stuff, I have finally had the last tooth taken care of! This makes me extremely HAPPY! Smile

The biggest HAPPY NEWS is that I am finding it easier to stay in Happy moods for longer periods of time...to really relax into them and honestly enjoy them. This makes me ecstatically HAPPY! Smile It's a wonderful feeling and one that is taking some time to get used to. Who would have thought it would at first feel uncomfortable to really feel happy????

I could go on & on...will post more news later.

With love,
whatisreality

Hi Croz,

What a great idea! I've been reading some of the happy posts and I've decided to write and tell you that it is almost 5 a.m. here on my part of the world and that I will post more happy posts tomorrow.

For now: I am happy cuz I'm off to bed to get a good nite's sleep.

Bye, bye,

Romy ;-)

Well... here is an "I'm Happy because my friend is estatic' story.
My friend has had breast cancer and was due for a reconstruction which way put off and devistated my friend. However, she soon rallied and as part of her CMI visualised herself having a hair cut and her hair straighteded at a flash hairdressers in town. She had no money to have a haircut anywhere, let alone her hair straightened!

A few days later she and a friend were downtown and her friend popped into the newsagents (which is near THE salon in question). My friend was waiting out on the footpath when out of the salon came the hairdresser and asked her if she would be willing to be a model and have her hair cut for free. Of course she said 'yes'. WHile getting her hair cut she asked if they needed a model for hair straightening and guess what? They did! So she had $500.00 worth of slaon treatment at the hairdressers she nominated in her visualisation and she is estatic. What a happy story. I love it when my friend is happy because she is always so positive about everything.

Great story Julia.

What a shame others cannot find some happy stories to put here.

Now more than ever we need to read some positive happy news.

Why don't we all think of just one happy moment that we are experiencing.

I am convinced that a good hard push at focusing on happy positive things will have an enormous impact on our group.

Lets'get some really good news stories happening here right now and just all enjoy the positive effect that will produce.

Even if you have never posted before, use this opportunity to break the ice.

What a blessing you are Julia! I'm so happy the young woman found you and was open and able to 'hear' what you had to say. Thanks for sharing this precious story.

Todays' Happy News is that a young 16 year old girl that I have been helping who was suffering the effects of malnutrition(believe it or not, even in the USA Eek) ;she's vegetarian and not anorexic, sees a doctor for epilepsy and heart problems, (and the doctor never once asked her about her diet) is cooking her own meals and buying healthy food! On her own (after I made a few suggestions Wink ) she figured out that her ill health was the result of eating so poorly. I suggested some healthy inexpensive fare, such as brown rice and beans, and pasta and veggies, and she called to tell me that she cooked her first meal from scratch the other day!

Thanks so much Carolyn! Big Grin

Today's Happy News is that a customer ordered almost $600.00 of Greek reproduction pieces, and 2 are really fun custom pieces. I love working closely with a client and coming up with ideas together. And in talking on the phone about the project, I made a new friend. Cool

This I believe is the result of doing the One Command ("I don't know HOW I attract the $$ I need to pay bills, but I know that I have and I am fulfilled.") I believe it is also the direct result of focusing on feeling good, no matter what was going on around me. I WAS down to my "last" $20.00 in my wallet, but this time, I have the KNOWING that the supply is always moving towards me, even if my wallet is low for a couple of days. Wink

Love and Light,
Julia

Today's Happy News is that my oldest son, who is almost a year sober and clean from heroin,(last year at this time he was at Death's door) is coming over in a few minutes to help me with heavy yard work, like stacking wood (that my neighbors are giving us for FREE) and filling potholes in our driveway so that I'll be able to snowblow it more easily when the snow falls. What's even more cool is that HE was the one that offered to help. Smile

What a gift! Big Grin

It sure is wonderful seeing all the Happy B-day posts,I'm so touched... WOW!

My Happy News today is that I am getting my computer fixed in exchange for creating a clay udu drum. My friend Dave co-owns a computer company, and is also a gifted artist and musician, plays all sorts of flutes, does photo realistic paintings in brush and ink, and so really appreciates my work and wants a drum. So now my computer will run much smoother, Dave will have a ball playing the udu and we each are giving eachother services that would cost hundreds of dollars, a great example of more use value than cash value.
