Creative Visualisation

I used to call myself a Low budget Film Maker, but since my partner has introduced me to SOGR and the wonderful Wallace Whattles. I now refer to myself as a Progressing Film Maker.
I have always considered myself as a positive thinker but 10 years ago whilst trying to get into the film making circles I was soon affected by cynical negative attitudes and the competetiveness that can go hand in hand with film makers and the media industry. Deciding even at that time not to let the lack of funding or financial circumstances stop me from making my visions come true, I would get to work on putting projects together.
The example I want to share with you is my example of creative visualisation that was ESSENTIAL to my work.
5 years ago I had an idea for a short film, I was living in London at the time and my partner was looking after me financially. I had finished the story/script and theoretically was ready to start making the film. I had visualised the set of the film as being a typically English Georgian House with ornate staircases and original interiors. I did some research at the time and was quoted thousands of pounds for just a days hire. At the time I did not give up on the idea due to cost, I just felt that horrible sinking feeling of yet another financial block, however being the stubborn person I am, I just kept the image in my mind of what I wanted and realised that I would just have to wait for the right opportunity.
As living in London can be very expensive I had decided to look for a part time job to take the pressure of my partner, he pointed out a receptionist job at an adult education centre and said it sounded good for me.
To cut a long story short when I turned up for the interview my jaw dropped to the floor, I was standing outside a London Gerogian house with everything (and more) that I had been visualising.
I got the job 4 years ago, and a year ago I had built up such a good relationship with the owner he allowed me have the whole building in the holiday period, free, for 1 week to make my project come true. Not only that, the institute also brought to me student/amature actors and actresses who were perfect for the parts in my story. Although I was unable to pay them in the traditional sense, In return, they receieved from me professional showreels and websites that would have normally cost them over $1000. Above all that, it was nice to see people's self esteem and confidence rise through being in the film.

I moved to paris 6 months ago, I needed a local bar for another film shoot in May 2005. This time I knew what to do, I focused my thinking on what I desired, a week later a friend of mine introduced me to a friend of his who owned a bar in central Paris, youve guessed it, I told him my idea and he is letting me have the bar for a week while its closed to fulfill my vision. I also now how important it will be to help the actors actresses involved and how important it is to create a feel good factor on set. Its amazing what you can do for others through a creative venture.
Now I am putting my natural talents of visualisation together with the fantastic information that oozes from the science of getting rich, I realise that wonderful universe is my oyster.
Blessings to you all on this wonderful pathway of life.
