Hello everyone, could anybody help me with this: I'm now reading mr. Wattles book for the 2nd time. I sent the link to the book to my boyfriend but he said he hasnt time to read it (what he really means: he doesnt believe in it anyway, so why read?). But I know that reading the book (and live it) would help him very much in his business. He said to me: if there were a couple of things I had to do and IT WORKED, then I'd read the book. Are there some "steps" he could begin with? I'm sure that SOGR would be of so much value for him! Does anyone have any suggestions? I would be so grateful to get some response on this!

Thanks,
Margaretha

I would love for my partner to read it or listen to the CD as well! Problem is, he isn't what you would call much of a reader, plus I also think he lacks belief as well and likes to see 'real solid proof before commiting to anything'. So I know how frustrating it can feel! He just recently badly injured himself and looks set to have to have an operation will his insurance will only cover about half of, something I think he is stressing about. I've reminded him of the Science and not to stress over it and just try believing that everything will work out for the best and we'll have plenty of money for the operation. I think he's so stressed about it that he actually listened to what I said and is really trying to take it on board.
Other things I've done in the past to get his mind onto the Science is to start conversations about our next house we're going to build. Coming up with designs and plans. At first he was like "that sounds way to expensive", however now he seems to be getting almost as excited about as I have. I always tell him about all of my success and breakthroughs and he's starting to see it all working. I don't know for certain whats going on inside his head but I only hope its slowly getting filled with many positive and exciting beliefs. Good luck with it and I would love to know if you come up with any ways to get your partner interested in teh book I would love to know!!

Love Shannon

Of course.
It would help anybody.
Mistery is...
we don ´t know what is good for others(as literally SOGR says).
You can do only one thing:
Make the most of yourself.
Get rich.
Only that inspires people and show them the way.

Thank you!Obrigado!Grazie!

Hi Mararetha,

Letting go of our attachment to our loved ones choices can be a challenge but it can also be freedom once we get the simplicity of thinking and acting in a certain way.
As much as you want something good for him, check what your thoughts are around your own need to convince him that this is what he needs. Every soul has its own journey.
Often when we are putting our attention to what we think someone needs we have moved away from abundance thinking where there is enough and everyone is enough to scarcity and fear driven thinking that if this person doesn't then.....?
We only need to focus our attention on thinking and acting a certain way and seeing each person in our lives as their true self they really are, without needing them to be different. Let go.
Its easy to get caught up in other people's lives and to see how simple it would be for them to just think and act in a certain way. "fix and save" When our attention is on their lives it isn't on our own life.
Trust Margaretha. Trust that he is who you know him to be. Everyone has their own journey and their own time. That is between him and the universe. There is a story of the butterfly in the coccoon struggling to break it open and along comes a man who wants to help so life can be easier for the butterfly. He opens the cocoon and releases the butterfly. Only to find the butterfly is unable to fly and will spend its life without flight. Why? Because the process of breaking open the cocoon strengthened its wings.
I illustrate this story not because I am suggesting its good to stay in a blind struggle but for you to consider the possibility that he is exactly where he needs to be to grow right now. That when we think we help someone before it is their time we may not be helping at all.
I look back and I can see that I embraced SOGR when I did because I was ready and I had already gone through important lessons in other ways. Those lesson enabled me to be ready to do the work now. Because I have done the work many people around me read sogr. Some have taken up to a year to read or consider getting on this website. If I had pushed I would have pushed them away.

You will see Margaretha, that when you focus on yourself and start to think and act in a certain way you won't need to concern yourself with what he chooses to do. You want the best for him. See him being and having the best without influencing what that best may be or how he gets there.

Everything is perfect

Hello Shannon, thanks for your answer, I am glad to know that I'm not the only one with this "problem". Of course I'll let you know how it goes. Good luck to you too!

Hi Domenico, thanks very much for your answer. I know the above written, but isnt it so that SOGR is good for everybody? "There's abundance in the Universe, enough for all"? Or do I see this wrong?

kind regards,
Margaretha

Hi Jolene, thank you so much for your answer.

" See him being and having the best without influencing what that best may be or how he gets there ".

It is really a tough job to do this. The first part "See him being and having the best", is not difficult. But I'm convinced that without SOGR, he'll never gets where (I know because he told me) he wants to be. And that's my problem. However, after the answers here in the forum, I'll try to let go. I have to, because struggling with this brings me nowhere. There is very good news for Mark on the way already but the realisation will take some time. Maybe I'm just too impatient!! (Was at the end of the queue when patience was handed out, ha!)
I'm reading mr. Wattles book now for the 2nd time: every day 1 chapter and I try to translate it (like somebody adviced me to do in general, not every word) in Dutch so I'll understand it better.
It is very useful for me to be on this forum with my thoughts but also to read all the other messages. It really is a great help!

love,
Margaretha

Margaretha,
we are talking here of the mystery of the free will.
In an other statement,Wally says that you must give to your workers the opportunity to become rich.In other words, you must organize your business according the principle of the advancement for all.
But,Wally says,if the person doesn´t take the opportunity,it´s not your fault.

Thank you!Obrigado!Grazie!

Jo--I thought your comments were really on target! I am also married to a non-SOGR person, but I've ceased worrying about it because I can see that when I do experience a success and I give credit to "the certain way," he is paying attention.
