It IS a great weekend -- already!

Just want to point out, in case I wasn't clear, that when I said I'd be pouring out love to EVERYONE concerned, I meant even the ones who might seem like your "competition." I'd just love 'em and ask that it all work out in a way that gives you what you desire and is for the highest good of everyone involved.

Feels really good when you do that!

Love & blessings, and, of course--

Well, I'm a sailor and when you're hand steering, most of the time you're actually off course, so going somewhere is just correct, correct, correct. Not a matter of being "wrong," just a matter of getting back on-track.

For some reason, reading what you wrote reminded me of when my Grandma was teaching me how to drive a car. (She taught everyone -- my parents and all their friends when they were teenagers, then us kids in my generation. She was wonderful.)

Anyway, we'd be out on some very straight country section road where you could see any other car coming for a LONG time before it got near you. (It was Oklahoma; it's so flat you could see a long way in any direction.) And when a car would finally show up coming toward us, Grandma would point at it and say, "See that car? Miss it!" Made me laugh then and still does. I can see and hear her saying it.

Thanks for that!

Rebecca, I love that outpouring of love. It's a sensational way of cutting through whatever is going through your head in the moment and connecting with all.

Beautiful.

You know what I'd do if I were in your shoes? I'd just start BLASTing all those people. I'd pour out LOVE on them all weekend. Every time I thought of this situation or anyone involved, I'd just bless the heck out of 'em and wish them all good things.

Hey, that's really cool! I love the idea of pouring out love on people.

Rebecca, both you and Julia have mentioned "blessing" people. I get the suspicion that this is a process more formal than just thinking good thoughts. Care to clarify for us noobs?

Nope, nothing formal at all. It really is just thinking good thoughts, wishing them well, imagining them well and happy, seeing them in that wholeness, feeling love in their direction.

The one who benefits most is the one who's doing the blessing.

Love it!

This reminds me of Douglas Addam's definition of flying. "Flying is aiming for the ground and missing."

Hysterical, especially when you realize that according to the laws of physics, it's actually true! (You just have to be going orbital speed when you "aim for the ground." You're going so fast, you actually "miss" and fly right past it. That's how stuff stays in orbit.)

Love and blessings,
Rachel

Rebecca I knew exactly what you meant. Usaully companies will not give appointments to agencies that are close to each other. There is another insurance agency less than a mile from my office who has this company. I did think if him when I was BLASTing people and I BLAST'ed him too.

I dont know how it will all work out but I know it will.

Hey CaptJack,

I know exactly waht you mean when you say you love to sleep lol! I do aswell. I have recently figured out that to change, you have to destroy bad habbits or make new good habbits, and the way to do this is to do the thing or not do the thing for thirty days in a row (apparently its 21 days but i go 30 to be safe.)

I have found this to be alot harder than it sounds but once done it is fully worth it!! For example I gave up smoking this way and that was four months ago, I havnt had one since, I spent a week or two figuring out how I was going to do it, like what I would do instead and who I would socialize with during the time ect and then when ready I went cold turkey for 30 days and from then on it was easy, but I think it is still important to make sure you dont slip back into old habbits for the next few months untill it is a really solid habbit or behaviour.

My next big change that I have just started doing is what I call the Successful Morning. Basically I figure that these habits will make me crank and be a key ingredient in being successful easily.

Successful Morning:
[LIST]
  • Get up when I intend to from the night before. (As soon as alarm goes off get straight ouve bed, very hard for me)
  • Do my gratitude exercise
  • Watch and do Yoga TV (a 15min guided Yoga workout on TV)
  • Go for a 15min run
  • Shower
  • read one chapter of Science of Getting rich and one chapter of Science of Being well
  • Breakfast, then start work by 8am

I also want to add meditaion into this, but am going to do a class to learn how.
Today is day 4 of doing all these things and I am feeling great and it is getting easier, however I no that it could get very hard to persist day after day in the next few weeks so I make sure I go to bed early every night becasue otherwise I wont get up and itl be ruined and ill have to start again lol and just take it easy and commit, think of the end result. Easy habbitual kick ass way to start your day.

    Hope this helps!
    Good luck
    Thanks
    Foo

Hey Foo, I commend you on your discipline.

For me, I've found that when I get too regimented (i.e. focus more on the discipline/action), that I lose the joy that inituated the whole thing.

The joy is where inspired action comes from, and joy is now my primary focus.

I do not understand this.........if this is part of a clear mental image and is being done in the correct way according to WW and TSOGR, wouldn't these actions flow and seem effortless?
or would this be considered the competitive plane?

    Welcome, Foo.

Your morning routine reminds me so much of myself. I was constantly looking for the "perfect" way to start my day. I love yoga, meditation and exercise. But, as Ancam said, focus on the discipline or action can take the fun out of it. Eek

All of the things you are doing sound great, including the meditation! I would just suggest that it's really okay to sleep in sometimes, or to do something different some mornings. Smile

As you read more and more in these forums, and study the SOGR, you will learn that success is really very easy. You won't have to force yourself to do anything, because you only do what you really want to do!

I hope that you are participating in the course for Practical Geniuses. It helps to clarify the book and to guide you through the process of finding your dreams. I'm sure it does more than that, but I haven't finished it myself. LOL!

Regardless, congratulations on your inspiration and welcome to the forum!

    Love and blessings,
    Rachel

BTW, for anyone who may be interested, I am currently enjoying the heck out of one of Dr. Catherine Ponder's many wonderful books, this one titled, The Prospering Power of Love, which was written back in 1966 and updated in '84.

This slim volume is jam-packed with wonderful stories of people who experienced amazing life changes with NO ACTION whatsoever in any tangible, physical form. What they "did" was simply change their thinking and choose to LOVE their way through any perceived difficulty. When they made that shift, everything around them shifted, too, and the situations were resolved.

I am always happy to hear book recommendations. I have a place where I can get books free, and they had it! Yeah! It's on it's way. Thanks Rebecca.

If you google Catherine Ponder, one of the websites that comes up has some of her books as ebooks. They don't have The Prospering Power of Love, but they do have the first chapter on that site. FYI, it looks like that site is probably an affiliate site but it's not mine! I don't have one... yet! Big Grin

I bought Pray and Grow Rich as an Ebook, but yes, it seems like the Prospering Power of Love is not available for purchase in Ebook format.

    No worries.

Udate: I had the meeting with the marketing rep and she needs to go back and talk to her boss and then she said she will probably come back out with another markting rep so things like this can take some time.

I did BLAST all weekend though and I was thinking why do it just for the weekend so I am going to incorperate that into my everyday practice.
