Reverend Ike-isms

This weekend I came across the teachings of Reverend Eikerenkoetter (aka Reverend Ike).

I had heard about him but never knew what he taught. It came as a pleasant surprise to see he basically teaches exactly what is in Wattle’s books. And it was also a nice surprise to see he recommends reading Neville Goddard, one of the teachers I’ve admired. Here is a sample of Ike’s teachings:

From his ebook ‘Thinkonomics’

“The more you learn to work your mind, the less you have to work your behind.”

“I teach the individual to define his ideals and to project his ideals into reality by means of visualization, affirmation and meditation.” (p. 7)

“Do not be a slave to the conditions that you are in. Do not be locked in and bound by the undesirable circumstances that you find yourself in.

Change your circumstances
by changing your self-image,
by changing your self-definition.

The Bible says, “Let the weak say, I AM strong.” I like to add, “Let the poor say, I AM rich. Let the sick say, I AM well.”

This is re-defining oneself. Let the weak re-define himself as strong. Let the poor re-define himself as rich, and so on.

See yourself in the theater of your own mind being, doing, and having the good that you desire.” (p. 10)

“Change your circumstances, your conditions, by changing your self-image, by changing your self-definition.”

“See yourself as you wish to BE” (p 11)

I thought this is worth passing along.

Phil
