I'm 20 about to turn 21. I've read the book twice already and am constantly thinking about my dream (which is to have 20 million in my bank account and my dream car. I would explain the reason behind that specific amount but I don't want to bore you all with details).

Reason why is because I want to enjoy life to the fullest being financially rich. However, the only thought that keeps me from completely thinking positively and in the NOW is the idea that, by the time I see that amount of money in my account, I'll be in a much later place in my life (IE 40's,50's,60's).

Is it possible that I can ask the universe to help me attain my dream as soon as possibly, or is rushing it asking too much?

You can have it whenever you want. I would question the belief you have about not having that money until you are 50. Challange yourself on that one. Why do you have that belief? where did it come from? Is it absolutely true that people only get rich when they are approaching 50? I can think of heaps of people who have gotten rich at young ages, The Olsen twins, Hannah Montana, Britney Spears, etc etc.

Interested to hear your answers!

Best wishes,

Shannon

Hi,

Firstly, well done on having such a large CMI. It took me a while to really understand that you can ask big.

I´m no expert but I felt moved to reply to your message as it sounds like you are feeling how I once felt. I worried that it would take too long for money to come to me and that by the time it did I would be too old to make the most of it. I realised that I can only act in the moment, the past is done and the future is yet to be, and in the moment I was sending out vibrations of lack, poverty and disappointment. And the universe, as faithful as ever, sent me exactly what I asked for!

Everything you have now is a culmination of your previous attitudes and perspectives. Change your attitudes now to ones of what you DO want, and things will start rolling to you immediatly. They have to, remember that god wants you to have anything you can dream.

One other thing, my CMI used to be to attain certain amounts of money. I found that, for myself, this never worked. I just had no emotional attachment to money. It doesn´t excite me, but what does is the things it will allow me to do. That is what I now focus on...and it really does work.

Welcome to the forum, everyone here has different experiences ans pespectives. This is the start of a great journey for you, so enjoy playing with the game. I look forward to hearing more of your story.

You can't ask too much.

You've already asked. Now just get yourself into alignment with what you desire and let go of doubt.

Time is irrelevant.

Love & blessings, and, of course--
EXPECT Success!

My first a-HA moment with SOGR was realising that I was already rich and that I could live life fully NOW!

My advise is to ask huge; and be grateful for what you have now and for everything that you will have in the future! Live life fully every moment of your life!

Be good to yourself, live life passionately and always, always expect success!! I don't know how long I will live, but I'll live until I die!!

I know of people who have become millionaires in their teens. For some it was even kind of a ‘fluke’. For example, a girl created a ‘My Space’ site and started adding different things to it. Her friends liked them so she showed them how to do it. Word got around and she got so many hits (in the millions) big companies sought her out to put their ads on her site and paid her to do so. So, before she was 18 she was a multimillionaire and had even bought her parents a home.

Another teen, raised in the project of Chicago, created and sold a business for 1.5 million, when he was fifteen.

There were recent stories about a 14 yr old Brit girl who just happened to love the ‘Anime’ Japanese cartoon characters so much that, for fun, she would dress up like them, sing and dance like them and then she put little youtube videos of herself up, dressed dancing like the ‘anime’ characters. Her videos got passed around, got millions of hits and now she gets paid to fly to Japan and make commercials and do promotions for different things. It appears she will soon be a millionaire.

I even remember years ago reading of a 17 yr old (this was in the 70’s) who ‘caught wind’ of the idea that computer companies were in need of certain connectors but the demand was greater than the supply. So somehow he managed to build a business of supplying connectors and inside of two years became a millionaire.

A couple things seem to be common to these young millioniares:

They were all simply doing what they loved doing.
They put their idea or creation out there somehow, to see what kind of reaction they’d get.
They were having fun, enjoying (feeling good about) what they were doing.

As Rebecca said, time is irrelevant. We are at a time when technology allows things to expand in incredible ways not possible even a generation ago, and they are getting faster and bigger. But, it seems to me, it’s not even that growth is dependent on technology because fast paced wealth have happened to people even before the Internet, and outside of the ‘mainstream’ ways. (e.g., Wayne Dyer, quit a tenured professorship, wrote a book in the early 70’s and believed in it so much he barnstormed across the country to any and every radio station that would have him and self-promoted his book so that it became a NY Times Bestseller and he went on to appear many times on ‘The Tonight Show.’)

But, to me, more important than any of the above stories suggest, is the idea of getting yourself to where you can and do actually FEEL what it’s like to ALREADY HAVE what you want.

From what I understand, it’s this ‘feeling as if you already have what you want’ ‘vibration’ that attracts, creates, draws to you or manifests everything that you need (ideas, people, resources, etc.) for your desired outcome to become an actual physical reality.

You may have heard of Mind Movies, the manifesting tool that a man developed that propelled him to millionaire in less than a year. Here is what the creator has to say about this.

“When you get this level of vibration, when you hold your picture of your goals in your mind, and you become that person, the Universe just starts delivering everything you need -- the tools, the resources, the money -- to achieve anything.” Ryan Higgins of Mind Movies
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RU38mkE7vY

This idea is also present in the Bible:

“Whatsoever things ye ask for when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them,” Matthew 21:22

This passage is hardly understood. How can a person ‘believe they have received’ something, before they have actually received something? If you understand that it speaks to the FEELING of having, then the understanding becomes apparent. If you undestand basic psychology, we FEEL what we believe. So, to "believe that ye receive" simply means to 'feel what it is like to already have what you want.'

Most of us can examine our own experience and realize that we OFTEN ‘feel what it is like’ to have something before we actually experience it in physical reality. For example, we look forward to the weekend and as we think about it we get a good feeling, even though it’s only a Wednesday, for example.

Or, we look forward to being with our boy or girl friend, and get a good feeling.

In these instances we are actually experiencing ‘having’ before we actually physically have the thing we want. So, it's not magic, and it's not hard thing to do. We just need to learn to the power of this and put it to great use.

But now, this principle or law also works against us, if we don’t know its power. For example, if you’ve ever fretted or worried about some future event you have unwittingly given energy to its creation. And sometimes you may have even got the result of creating exactly what you were feeling afraid of happening. This is also addressed in the Bible, in Job.

“the thing that I fear comes upon me, and what I dread befalls me.” Job 3:25

btw, I’m not trying to get preachy or religious here. I’m just trying to show you these ideas have been around for awhile.

The principle is: Whatever we FEEL with regularity and sincerity, we tend to manifest or bring into our experience.

You can ‘speed up’ the process of creating what you want, if you will do what it takes for you to start FEELING what you’d feel with having what you want, even BEFORE you ever have any indications of it in physical reality.

If you study various prosperity teachers you will find this key element present in virtually all their teachings,… but many miss it and get it wrong. Many ‘students’ surmise it’s about ‘acting rich.’ But it’s not about ‘acting as if you’re rich’ or any other wanted thing; it’s about FEELING like you already have what you want.

How would you feel if you already had the money you want? How would you feel if you already had the freedom you want? When you recognize and embody these feelings, you ‘magnetize’ yourself to your desired conditions, circumstances and everything else needed for their realization.

Think about what you want, but go the important next step. Get to where you can actual FEEL what it’s like to have all that you want,… and experience these feelings everyday. This is how you can speed up the realization of having all that you want.

“To demonstrate what one wants, one needs to become aware of the fact that all we need to do is to think only of the things we want, and that is all that we would get, if we would do just that. Only think of the things you want, and that’s what you’ll be getting all the time, because the mind is only creative. Nice and easy, isn’t it? Also, take credit for all the things you don’t like. Just say, “Oh, look what I did,” because when you become aware that you’ve created things you don’t like, you’re still in a position of creator. If you don’t like it, all you have to do is turn it upside down and you’ll like it.” Lester Levenson

“Things will constantly change to match the feeling you have inside." Abraham-Hicks

“The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars but in ourselves that we are underlings.” Wm. Shakespeare

“Within yourself lies the cause of whatever enters into your life. To come into the full realization of your own awakened inner powers is to be able to condition your life [yourself] in exact accord with what you would have it.” Ralph Waldo Trine in ‘In Tune With The Infinite’ 1908 (The book Henry Ford credited for his success.)

"Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap, says the Bible. This means that if we sow thoughts of health and harmony, we shall reap accordingly, and if we sow thoughts of sickness, fear and enmity, we shall reap those things. To sow a thought, in the Bible sense, means to believe it wholeheartedly; and it is our wholehearted beliefs that we demonstrate." - Emmet Fox

“You always, always reap what you sow.” - - Oprah Winfrey

“Tending to your own thoughts and feelings and letting yourself become the perfect match to your desires brings you joy and peace. And I promise you that your own joy and peace are the keys to everything -- EVERYTHING -- you want, for yourself and others.” - Rebecca Fine

And remember to remember this: You absolutely do NOT need to physically have what you want, in order to FEEL what it’s like to have what you want. And it’s the FEELING that empowers and speeds up the process of manifestation of whatever it is you want.

Frequent occupancy of the feeling of the wish fulfilled is the secret of success." ~ Neville Goddard – The Power of Awareness

“Prosperity is a feeling of having it all, of being in the flow. This feeling attracts corresponding situations and opportunities. And this is eventually experienced as physically as money and wealth. Prosperity is an inside job. Success is the person you become, not a point you chase after.” - page 105 of ‘What If You Knew The Answer,…” by David Cameron

One other thing I think you would benefit by considering: You want more than financial and material abundance. What you REALLY want also includes a very good sense of self. And so I suggest you also remember that you always want to be someone who feels good about their self.

You probably also would love to have at least a few good friends; people who are actually and sincerely friendly towards you, that you actually admire, respect, appreciate and value, and that you feel are trustworthy. So, I suggest you put this in your ‘Ideal Life’ picture.

Create a whole, balanced, truly fulfilling picture ot the life, relationships and lifestyle that you’d REALLY feel good about having. (And, of course, practice feeling what it is like to already have it.)

Phil

Wow! I didn't know I'd get such great answers from you guys. Thank you all for taking the time to help me understand. My CMI and faith are so strong now that I can practically feel like I'm in the life I want.

I was also wondering: what does it mean to "put myself in alignment"?

It seems to me, it means EMOTIONALLY aligning yourself with what you want.

“Tending to your own thoughts and feelings and letting yourself become the perfect match to your desires brings you joy and peace. And I promise you that your own joy and peace are the keys to everything -- EVERYTHING -- you want, for yourself and others.” - Rebecca Fine

Say, for example, you want a wonderful relationship with some beautiful girl. But you secretly have an inferiority complex. You secretly feel you aren’t good enough. So, you don’t feel good about yourself. In this case you’d be “out of alignment” with what you want.

Or, you want a million dollars but you believe you’d have to be immoral or unethical to have it. Or you believe even desiring this amount is wrong or sinful. Or you believe you’d have to work too HARD to have it. Then, you’re out of alignment with what you want.

And, by the way, just because you can’t see any evidence of a thing doesn’t mean you can’t align with it.

For example, there is the story of a boy from a small rural village in Argentina. So small that there were few homes that had electricity, and in the entire village there was only one TV. The time was the 1960s and on television was the first manned U.S. flight into outer space.

Many of the villagers gathered around to watch the flight and the young boys got all excited. Afterwards they played and made makeshift ‘spaceships’ out of cardboard boxes and whatnot. For weeks this was the center of their play. That is, until the adults in the village started to laugh and make fun of them. Then, one by one they stopped playing. But one boy had a dream. He would become an astronaut like he saw on TV.

Long story short, the boy held to his dream and one after another impossible to plan or predict event happened so that the boy made it to the U.S., went to school, became a pilot and then joined NASA. By now he no longer cared about being an astronaut, but was absolutely happy with his position as a pilot, flight instructor and member of the space team.

It seems to me, he got what he wanted because he was ‘aligned’ to it. While, in the mean time, the other boys lost their dream and are still in that village.

There are many stories like this. Neville Goddard says, “Feeling is the secret.”

"Frequent occupancy of the feeling of the wish fulfilled is the secret of success.

Your feelings create the pattern from which your world is fashioned, and a change of feeling is a change of pattern. The subconscious never fails to express that which has been impressed upon it. The moment it receives an impression it begins to work out the ways of its expression. It accepts the feeling impressed upon it, your feeling, as a fact existing within itself and immediately sets about to produce in the outer or objective world the exact likeness of that feeling. The subconscious never alters the accepted beliefs of man – it out-pictures them to the last detail whether or not they are beneficial.

To impress the subconscious with the desirable state you must assume the feeling that would be yours had you already realized your wish. In defining your objective you must be concerned only with the objective itself. The manner of expression or the difficulties involved are not to be considered by you. To think feelingly on any state impresses it on the subconscious.” Neville Goddard in ‘Feeling is the Secret’
